So I need some help solving a bit of a mystery. I'm seeing a Cancer Sun / Taurus moon guy right now, but he doesn't know his birth time. The suspense is killing me! : ) Could you all take a look at his pics and take stabs at what you think his ascendant might be?

WaterNymph: He’s definitely tall (mmm-mmm I love them tall men). I had not considered Aries as his ascendant but it does seem to fit (minus the competitiveness). I’m going to lean against Aquarius though as he doesn’t act quirky, individual nor is he driven to ponder the mysteries of the universe.

26Taurus: Here, have a tasty cookie! Leo and Cancer are both high possibilities. He doesn’t seem to have the showmanship or “flashiness.” I’d expect from a Leo ascendant though. Cancer is a strong possibility. I’ve noticed people often times are attracted to those that share their ascendant and my guy’s dated a lot of Cancer girls.

AcousticGod: I totally agree about looking at his personality as a better indicator of his ascendant. But I’ve been torn. Initially I thought Taurus, Sag, or Cap based on personality (he’s got the wanderers instinct of a Sag, but seems to lack the idealistic open mindedness of that sign. And since he’s very focused on work… Cap came to mind), but I keep second guessing myself, so I thought getting some other perspectives might help.

Mystic Gemini: Taurus rising made the top of my list at first too as he’s more a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Not to worried about the world of ideas and the like. But then I started second guessing myself since his moon sign is Taurus.

Beebuddy: Great idea! I’ll try to write up something and will post it shortly.

Tula: Libra rising would be too funny. That’s all I seem to date these days, although he doesn’t “feel” like a Libra rising to me. He’s just not focused enough on aesthetics.

Gemini Nymph: Sag or Cap made my top contenders list based on his personality! Sag would be interesting as it would make him pretty much my astrological twin. : )

Proxieme: Ya the lopyness and teeth both seem a bit Sag-like to me too.

CelticFyre: My guy was born June 29th, 1970. That’s too funny – I didn’t know your guy had a Taurus moon. I’m also a Cancer with a Taurus moon. Haha. Born July 10, 1977. I seem to have a lot of pseudo astrological twins running around these days.

Aqua: Aries seems to be a definite winner. We’ve had a lot of votes for it.

So, it seems general consensus puts Aries, Leo, Sag, and Cap make the top of the list with Aries leading the way by one vote.

Ok, well, first impression was Libra but I always go against my first impression and he doesn't look much like one anyway.

I reckon he's a Virgo Ascendant.

Why? He looks a bit like my dad around the eyes and mouth... AND I know others who look like that! AND he has that thing a lot of Virgo risings have which is a strong indent above the top lip and under the nose.

As it turns out 26Taurus, Randa, The Mutable Night Force (for your 2nd guess), and Lovely were all right, my Cancer has a Leo ascendant! But everyone was dead on with the fire influenced guesses. It’s really rather amazing how much you can tell about a person by the way they look.
