A Cancer Ascendant is vastly different from Leo. The former wants to nurture, hold on to and join. The latter wants to be recognized, be center stage, while also being independent. With the conjunction there is a familiarity, but Leo will never be Cancer and vice versa. IP: Logged

So I don't get it. However, the quality of it and how such an attraction develops greatly depends on the Signs which you both have rising(your Ascendents), which will usally be the same. Certain signs are destined to get on together better and longer, like Sagittarius or Taurus, whereas others can fall foul of a doubling up of inherent weakness. I have a venus trine neptune in my natal chart and he has the venus square neptune in his.
