HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you

I would like to know the significance of Node and Lilith in ones chart. Also what kind of Nodes are there (as I read something called True node, north node, Moon Node).
Currently Transiting Sun & Moon (in 2nd house - Capri) are in opposition with my Lilith in Cancer in 7 house. Also having Node-Node opposition

In my Natal chart, my 4 house Aries Venus is in opposition to 10 house Libra True Node and squaring to 7/8 house cusp Cancerian Lilith.

Also would like insight on MC (I guess Midheaven), DC, IC stuff.

Thanks
Villy
PS: The Search functionality is not working so can't search the sites for gathering the information

The true node and north node are the same thing. The south node is in the sign polar to that of the north node. These two nodes are the nodes of the moon. The north node represents what we have to learn in this life, in contrast to the south node, which is our natural reaction in difficult situations. I.e. my north/true node is in Aries and my south node is in Libra. My natural reaction would be passive, and trying to please others and keep them happy at the expense of fulfilling my own needs. However, in order to be more successful in achieving my goals, I need to learn to be more assertive and actively seeking out my needs. When reading up about the nodes of the moon, don't fall into the misconception that the south node is 'bad' and the north node is 'good'. The south node represents the qualities we are already endowed with and the north node those we need to develop. The goal is to use our south and north node qualities in the appropriate social context. MC (Midheaven) rules your career, and public image, versus your ascendant which rules your social image. DC (Descendant) represents the qualities you are looking for in a partner, and it is in the sign polar to your ascendant. I don't know anything about IC though. If anyone reading this disagrees with me on anything I wrote, just say so.

Oddball, I don't disagree at all. I think you've read the same text as me, actually. All I can add about south/north nodes is that they seem to play a large roll in synastry as well, especially the south node. Conjunctions to this point are moving and karmic. (past life connections, as was pointed out indirectly by the reference to "where we've been, what we know", loosely translated)

As for the Lilith, I haven't read much on this much, except that it seems to be prominant in extra-marital affairs, and woman-dominant-man relationships.

Thanks Oddball,
Its surprising that my True Node is in Libra and I am kind of passive and try not hurting others (probably due to Piscean Sun). While my South node (natural reaction) is in Aries and one of the development needs that my boss once reccomended was being Assertive. With explaination provided by you, its kind of opposite for me

Lalalinda, thanks for the link, let me go through that.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hmm...
Her Asc conjunct my Lilith...

Accordingly, she could outwardly represent the Lilith in my life.
...I wonder what that is supposed to mean.

-The Dark Moon is representative of the negative traits of guilt, shame, hatred, envy, and vengefulness, often brought about by personal wounds and hurts. The true dark side of things we try to hide.-

Yeah... First girl to seriously break my heart. without even trying~! Also the first to inspire envy. Not vengeful yet though, and never, I hope. Fortunately, it is only conjunct the ascendant, so it may be just a physical or outward attraction only. no biggie.

- The anima is a man's image of the ideal woman and also the feminine side of his personality.-

Much as I fantasize about marrying her, I hardly think she is my ideal woman. In fact she is the antithesis. well, she used to be the ideal one until someone "corrupted" her. Hmm, I am a cancer sun, and lilith is in cancer, so I can't verify the feminine side of personality bit.

-It is also representative of the enchantress or the seducer, one who lures another by use of sexuality or devious means. The kind who tempts another by implying that the grass is greener on the other side, that they can "rescue" someone, but it is in reality for their own selfish gain.-

Nah. Neither of us do that to each other. Well, maybe I will be lured to do things for her some time in the future. but that would be my own choice rather than any temptation on her part.

-the "other woman" who thinks a man needs rescuing from the "chains" of his partner-

Funny how it is other girls who think I need rescuing from her. not to say they are wrong, of course.

Hmm..
Lilith is believed to be the first wife,
so this girl could become my first wife?
hah. I will be lucky to even be able to get her to call the ambulance as I lie there dying.

Oh yeah, I am the only one who notices that she gives people a very scorpio look. intense and murderous. thing is, she is a cancer rising, with a gemini sun, libra moon.
so that could be linked to my Lilith perspective of her, as Lilith seems quite scorpio-nic.

Heh..

edit to add: I read somewhere that Lilith is rejection incarnate. but that was the asteroid. regardless... wow... sure is accurate.

this made me curious, so i checked where lilith was for me. turns out that the dark moon fills in the blank of my t-square making it a grand cross <shudders>. lilith is also conjunct my south node and chiron. it brings to mind some sort of 'past life' stuff for me. none of it very pretty.

i met someone recently who does kabbalistic astrology readings. i know nothing about this kind of astrology! what i do remember her saying though, was that she really scrutinizes the north node. she swears that the n node is where one needs to look for career aspirations in this life time.

Hm. Funny. My Lilith is in Scorpio. It sits right on top of my Pluto.

In the Second House.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

My Sun is in Aries. I knew someone with their Lilith/Venus/Mercury and Eros/psyche all conjunct in Aries..all either on my Sun or my Venus, or the midpoint of the two.. amongst other aspects. We're not married lol so it doesn't necessarily mean that. If he said something about me though.. I'm sure it would be along those lines "she wouldn't call an ambulance if I was dying"... which couldn't be further from the truth. I felt the same way about him. That he hated me too much to really love me.. Maybe it's all a big misunderstanding with you and her.. Maybe she feels you're the one who is being cold and ruthless.

That’s another thing that really bothered me..because I didn’t reject him, but he felt rejected.. oh gosh so much bloody drama with this guy.. I wish memories of him wouldn’t keep popping up due to Venus retro. I loved him and I care about him, I wouldn’t have hurt him.. His reaction to me was “hurt her before she hurts me”.. I was never going to hurt him, but eventually I did *because* he hurt me .. on purpose.. Maybe Lilith makes men overly defensive when there’s no reason to get defensive or jealous or weird or attack the person. Do you think that could be possible with you Apollo?

Sounds to me like the interpretations of Lilith are very prejudiced. They are based on the madona (docile/moral/sacrificing/never objecting to anything) /Wh*re (witch/immoral....) perceptions of women that existed for hundreds of years or more.
According to the myth itself Lilith was a feminist and a rebel who demanded to be equal and not inferior or owned liked cattle.
So why the negativity?

Thanks for the Lilith-links nove....

I have yet to really agree on one particular take on Lilith...yet enjoy reading all the information!!

My lilith is in Pisces, 4th house and is closely being conjuncted by transiting Uranus....and I am wondering what the heck that might mean....hmmm...

To the mods here - I forgot my password and I can't start any threads. I also use a different e-m now than I used 2 years ago (I don't even remember what that was).
What can I do?
