As I understand it, Carolyn "worked with" Linda to help her develop this book, Carolyn is listed as a part author of the book, and the book was published after Linda's death. While Carolyn certainly intended to communicate Linda's ideas the first chapter of the book Relationship Signs begins:

To me, this indicates that we are going to get a lot of Carolyn along with our Linda! Also, the Relationship book seems to have a different style, a little more "teaching" and a little less "fun", which seems to me to indicate that Carolyn's influence is heavy in the book.

I reread the Taurus section in Sun Signs (thanks for posting your source, it gave me an excuse to reread this great book! ) and think I found what you were referring to. Linda DOES mention "mellowness" in voice in connection with Taurus, but she always qualifies this and makes it clear she is talking about "singing" of some type.

Since Linda is referring to Sun-signs, she is indicating a "singing" (Taurus) self-expression (Sun). The "singing" ability comes from Taurus' "physical" nature. So "singing" is a type of physical (Taurus) self-expression (Sun). This is because there is a LOT of physicality to singing: correct diaphragm, breathing, voice support, air flow, etc. and Taurus energy is all about the "physical" side of things! So singing is a natural self-expression for a Taurus. In addition, Taurus rules the throat and singing is all about the throat (since Venus rules Taurus, this connects Venus rulership with the voice, as lalalinda mentioned).

However, while a Taurus Sun-sign may have some sort of "singing" tone in their voice, the TYPE of communication they do will be indicated by what Mercury is doing in their chart.

You know, I skimmed the Sun Signs book for half an hour last night, unable to find that Taurean/Voice quote, it says a lot for my speed-reading ability - dont do it!

The Taurus modifying Venus in your chart is an indication of an interest in singing. The "music" part of it comes from Libra, for Libra has to do with "relationships" of things, and music has a lot of things in it which "relate" to each other (chords, arpeggios, scales, vibration frequencies, etc.). So strong Libra energy is an indication of an interest in music. Combine that interest in singing with an understanding of musical "relationships" and you have: a musical singer!
