thanks Azalaksh,
bless your heart. that was A LOT of info you posted and I am grateful. Can't wait to read a little later on today.

btw, LOL at "this is not a warrior lifetime". that stood out as i was copying it all. i could use all the info that zala posted about NN because without understanding what the nodes mean for me, i will continue to feel like i'm in a defunct time machine. hugs and kisses, zala, and thank you.

north node libra end of second house / interp. in house 3

south node aries end of eighth house / interp. in 9

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Zala!

This is very kind of you...I was overwhelmed by the amount of valuable info, and it explains a lot.

I hereby announce you Brigadier of the Royal Nodes.

Thanks!

<<In this sense, the North node is not simply a "goal" to be achieved, it is a way of life which needs constant maintaining. Once we attain a North node goal we can set a new, more challenging North node goal. In this way we continue to grow and develop in our lives, constantly setting out and overcoming increasingly challenging North node opportunities, while always remembering that the power and strength of our North node is powered by our South node abilities >>

Tim, the above clarity you provide is one more reason why you should seriously consider writing a book yourself

This one kind of depresses me. Why is it that all of the LNN examples of people here seem so...jerktastic? I don't think we're ALL running people over with the emotional equivalent of 18-wheelers here.

And as for the wife that wanted babies- why wasn't it considered HER own responsibility to figure out if she could live with what he wanted or to dump him, and to SPEAK UP about it before it was too late? Instead, it's his fault that he didn't figure out she was lying to him and he should have KNOWN not to believe that she said it was fine. Ouch. Not every sign conceals things, and some are blunt- how was he to know the difference?

I think I'd rather have another "warrior" lifetime than learn to be a Care Bear who shares and makes other people feel warm and fuzzy and is the wind beneath people's wings that everyone ignores. I can't say I've enjoyed attempts at that role with other people- I just feel like they are sucking me dry, plus it's pretty thankless to support someone. Yeah, I know I probably shouldn't expect people to be able to do the things I do, but they should at least try in their own way instead of sitting around whining, "That's haaaaard! Take care of me, I don't wanna!" Gah.

I think I'd rather go towards the South Node in this life and be lonely than have other people sucking me dry. Switching from being "the needy one" to the supportive one hasn't made things any better, I swear.

Hi 26T

Nope, I'm not a Libra NN -- I's a Goat-Noder

katatonic ~

I didn't do the full-blown chapter for all the nodes, but the short version is here ~

NN in Aries/1st house:

NN in Gemini/3rd house:

If you are very interested and have no access to the book, I'll try to put up the long version for you

Hey Zala

Well I was in Sudan for a year doing nonprofit work...then back at school. Now I am going to start medical school this year and very excited. I feel focused, and happy to have found something that is meaningful. I don't think I had that under my previous course of classes.... And you ask about men...! Well I dated that Aries ( I think I had his chart posted once) for about a year, but it's been about two years since we broke up. Two years, and no loads of men for a Gemini girl? Hope you didn't faint Well I've been working with this surgeon who is a Gemini (and who I'm madly attracted to) but he's also 15 years older than me and well....a Gemini! Who needs four people in a relationship? I'm quite insane with just the two of me So I'm sweeping all this magnetism under the rug for now

I hope all is well on your end. Yesterday night I had the feeling that you might be having health problems, but I hope that isn't true. Hopefully that is just my paranoid Scorpio moon being overprotective of the people I like.

I bought this book a while ago and I have to say its the HOUSE placement that seems to fit myself and everyone I know so much better. So while my nn is in libra, it sits in my 4th house. So I read the 4th H chapter and it was bang on.

Maybe this is because the house placements are so much more personal than the actually nodal sign? I mean, everyone born w nn in libra can't have the same issues to resolve.....

the book in the initial posting is very good

I have the Dutch version from it and it rings very accurate for my sign position as well my house position

I can so much indentify with this! Thank you for sharing!

Most dificult though is to interpret North Node in Libra in the 1st House of Aries!

I feel I achived or am achiving my Libra North Node without much effort...It is placed right on my Ascendant conjunct Spica, plus Squares my Moon on the Mc(Cancer) and My Sun is in the 7th House meaning I just give my core away (very true)

The calling I have with this difficult to understand placement is that I must keep giving as it makes me happy but to don't forget about myself and my goals(which I often do and end up regretting)

Many times I forsaked my dreams for others happiness. There's a void inside me that I keep ignoring...
When I engage on a journey with someone I always follow them along and never came to me to ask them if they would mind coming along with me this time. Must try that next time!

I belive in this case I kind of master both ends of the axis but not at the same time and not in a balanced way! My karma is to keep perfect balance with this two different people in me, listen to them both and try to please them both!
So I think this placement of the Nodes makes a call for a more personal or interior challenge that is not so much related to others!

How can I help others without forgetting myself? And how can I strive without neglecting others?

I'm very conscient of this and I'm most happy when helping and caring for others coz it's what I mostly do.
Something inside me whispers: Don't forget about you! If you don't love yourself nobody will! Take time to nurture urself and focus on a bit more your private goals too...

Recently I met a guy with his South Node/Mec/Ceres/POF conjunct my North Node on my Ascendant. I've been killing my head on this one!
I was thinking that we where to go different directions, maybe yes but that doesn't mean to go in real different ways!
I can help him to be assertive, self-confident and independent more than anyone if he wishes so! And he can help me in partnership or be my partner himself who knows?
His NN is on his 8house conjunct my SN/Desc/Chariklo- Can I show him about the bondaries between intimacy and personal space?

Just question marks for now, the Nodes can be a total enigma coz if we could know what we are to learn we wouldn't learn it by living through it! better to let it role and evaluate as we go along isn't it?

Keep your eyes open!

The parts that I've read so far fit me so well concerning the "warrior" tendencies.
