I AGREE..sun conjuct moon..definately a strong chemistry!! there would have to be other positive influences.. maybe; venus squared mars to add some "sexual tension" or sun/venus conjuction/sextile..!!? Opposites seem to attract too.. lots of opposites in the synestry seem to create a dynamic PULL..connection. ie. Sun opposite Venus. comments>????????IP: Logged |

I wouldn't want venus square mars with somebody. How is sexual tension good? Venus square Mars can easily indicate insensitivity to each other. It can be a love and hate relationship. I don't think Venus-Mars are all that important in long term relationships. I wouldn't want any challenging Mars aspect with somebody in synastry. It could indicate serious aggression. Easy Mars,Uranus aspects can be stimulating. I definitely believe that Sun conjunct Moon is in important. I also wouldn't want hard Pluto aspects with anybody because that can indicate serious power complexes between the two people. It can be obsessions, compulsions that can be very unhealthy. Saturn aspects can be good for stability, structure, and discipline but I wouldn't want them in hard aspect to Venus,Moon, nor Mars. If you want the intensity of Pluto with somebody. Then look at 8th house placements. Those can be intense, sexual, psychological, deep, regenerating . also 8th house placements and Pluto aspects in the composite. I am not the crazy about the hard aspects involving Pluto. also
for the one that said that she had sun conjunct moon with a guy, and she felt down when he was down. I wouldn't attribute that to sun conjunct moon. That seems like a boundary issue. You should check Neptune aspects in natal, synastry, and composite. Any strong water stuff in natal chart. for instance, I have Moon in Pisces square Neptune as well as Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio, and that indicate quite the psychic sponge...so I have to make sure that I don't let the energies of others overwhelm me. I can't let people emotions affect me so much that I lose touch with my own personal feelings. I have to beware of negativity from others.

My Mars squares my bf's Venus.. no probs there at all and no tension either lol Though I’ve read interpretations that describe the Mars/Venus connection as “better” when the man is the Mars, I’m not sure about that. True, the initial attraction was much stronger when the guy was Mars (in a conj).. but Mars men can be a bit too manly towards me, for my Venus’ liking..I don't think Mars/Venus negatives do much harm if there are positive Sun/Moon and Moon/Moon connections.. and likewise Mars/Venus positives don't always work long term if links at a Sun/Moon level are not present. quote: How is sexual tension good?
It can be good when everything else is running *too* smoothly.. it's nice to spice things up I guess.. too many nice aspects could lead to a very plain life (and love life) IP: Logged |

For love at first sight I would have to sayVenus and or Moon in aspect to Pluto Venus conjucnt Neptune Mars conjunt Venus From what I've seen the conjuntion in general implies an a more instant attraction whereas the the sextile and trine are a bit tamer. Mars and Venus in the 8th house seem to make lust at first sight which I think many people confuse for love at first sight. I think Pluto might do the same thing as well... if not becoming even more powerful. And about the whole Pluto generational thing... I'm a bit confused about what your trying to say. As I understand it there is no way a whole generation of people can have Pluto/Venus connection, venus would only hit Pluto once a year, just like venus would only hit some one's sun once a year. And if you are going to denounce the validity of slow moving outer planets in synastry you must do so in natal charts as well. (a pluto ,personal planet connection has more effect on the person with sun, moon, venus in conjuction with the pluto person; the pluto person does not necessarily have those same feelings.) .....um one last thought the pluto venus connection by it self does not give love at first sight there must be supporting indicators that provide a basis for love or at least attraction. I mean your not going to have love at first sight from two charts that have minimal compatibility but have venus/pluto I can't really convey tone in writing so if the post sounds a bit pissish I'm not, just speaking my mind totally with out Pi$$ . ------------------ Gemini sun Scorpio moon Taurus ascendant IP: Logged |

I don't know about Venus and Mars in 8th being lust. That can easily be intense feelings for one another and that's not necessarily lust. It can be feelings that the two deeply, intensely connect and can be sexual but can be transformational, regenerational. It can be a spiritual too. Can share occult interests. My Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio are in my gal's 8th house. Her Sun,Mercury, and Mars in Aries are in my 8th house. There is definitely strong, deep, intense, transformational connection. She helped me see things that I didn't want to see inside myself like my anger towards psychiatry for my psychiatric misdiagnoses and not understanding my learning disabilities,my anger towards my mom,and my post traumatic symptoms from when I was with my mom when I was shot. She helped me realize my wanting to be an activist for learning disabled people was more out of an anger and revenge. She helped me realize that I have been totally angry, resentful, and that prevent me in from having a good relationship. She inspired me to let go of the past, forgive my mother for her physical/verbal abuse, and the psychiatrists for misdiagnosing my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia as psychotic, bipolar disorders. She helped me realize that I don't have to be so open to prove how honest I am and that I just be myself. She inspired me to make some changes in my life like my taking cod liver oil that has helped my brain function better and greatly improve my emotional nature that I don't feel easily stressed, depressed, nor anxious. I definitely have powerful, strong, intense feelings for her that are spiritual and sexual. That's how her planets in 8th house has influenced me. I helped by giving her astrology readings and sent her useful Astrology info. She told me that I helped her a lot. It was mainly psychological Astrology stuff because I am mainly a psychological type Astrologer. She definitely has powerful, strong, intense feelings for me that are spiritual and sexual too. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology, and she has interest in learning Astrology. She is also into tarot. Of course, I am an amateur astrologer that has done readings for others since 1999,and I like Tarot and Numerology. I also read a lot about Psychology/Psychiatry...especially when it comes to learning disabilities, special educational stuff, but I never went to college myself. It's just not my thing because I don't have the attention span and just don't care for traditional educational institutions. With my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia, I have an alternative learning/thinking style. Any ways..she and I do share interest in psychology and occult in common. Our feelings for each other very intense, powerful, passionate but we care about each other a great deal. She and I profoundly affect each other. That's definitely not lust. My Scorpio Sun conjuncts her Scorpio Moon-Saturn conjunction, and my Pisces Moon trines that. In our composite chart, we have Sun,Mercury, and Venus in 8th which is trine Pluto in 5th which sextiles Neptune-Descendant conjunction and trine Ascendant. Another thing to is that her Sun conjuncts my Chiron in 8th and she did help bring my 8th wounds to light and helped me. Her 8th house ruler Mars in Aries sextiles my 8th house ruler Mars in Aquarius. My Sun oppose her Venus/Mars,her Sun square my Venus/Mars,my Mars conjunct her Venus/Uranus,and my Mars oppose her Venus/Pluto are midpoint configurations that indicate sexual attraction too. Her Pisces Ascendant oppose my Virgo Ascendant with only 16 minutes of arc and her Venus in Taurus trine my Ascendant with 3 minutes of arc are indicators of strong attraction. She and I have very strong psychic house synastry overall, and that indicate very profound, intense, emotional emotional tie. My Moon and Mars are in her 12th house, and her stationary Jupiter is in my 3rd 19 minutes conjunct my IC and my IC ruler,Jupiter and her stationary Neptune is in my 4th house. This is from Stephen Arroyo's book, RELATIONSHIP AND LIFE CYCLES
8TH HOUSE:
Planets fallin my eighth house stimulate deep, often sexual and erotic, powerful feelings in me. If the planets are stressfully aspected, there may be a power struggle; and I may find my efforts to exert power and control over the other person disrupted or thwarted. This house in part represents my emotional search for values, which effort on my part can be helped or hindered by the other person. The eighth house also represent a test of my responsibility in the use of my power. Planets falling in this house can also have the effect of producing some type of spiritual awakening in me, as well as a powerful yearning for emotional peace and healing at a deep level. PSYCHIC HOUSES These houses are associated with the water signs and this can have an effect on me in those areas where I am most most psychic, sensitive, and vulnerable. Planets falling in these houses reveal those aspects or qualities of the other person that influence me emotionally, that can penetrate deeply into me. Thus, I will often be somewhat threatened by such a person because I am so vulnerable to him. There, I can react to the other person by fearing or disliking him; or I can open up to him in the hope that we can develop a relationship at a deep, soul level. People who planets or ascendant fall in my water houses are able to penetrate into the depths of my being, and to reveal my limitations, weaknesses, and deepest desires. Such deep contact between people can result in profound, intense, emotional ties; but there is often a tendency toward explosions, upheavals, instability, and constant irritation on my part. The future of the relationship will depend a great deal not only upon how I react to this threat(which is also a possibility for closeness), but also upon the other person's attitude toward the power that he has over me. A relationship with many ties in these houses will prosper mainly if the two people are emotionally at peace with themselves.

Here are some interpretations from the book,THE ASTROLOGY OF HUMAN RELATIONSHIPSVenus in 8th Frequently found in business partnerships and corporate relationships, this comparative combination often indicates financial gain through marriage or business associations for one or both parties. Legacies and inheritances can often influence the relationship and can mean financial gain for one or both natives. In marriage, financial considerations are sometimes a significant motivation. If Venus is afflicted, this can stand in the way of genuine love relationship. This combination can produce a strong sexual attraction and resultant passionate emotions. There can be strong emotional ties based on a psychic, intuitive, link between the natives. The Venus individual can help the Eighth House individual exercise diplomacy in business affairs, and the Eighth house individual can help the Venus individual gain the financial support necessary for artistic and social expressions. If Venus is afflicted, jealousy and possesssiveness can become a serious problem in the relationship. If Venus is well-aspected, this can be a favorable influence for businesses related to art, music, entertainment, luxury items, banking, taxes, insurance, and financial investments. Mars in 8th
This comparative combination often produces dynamic business, corporate, scientific,or occult relationships. The natives are apt to be mutually involved in corporate affairs related to insurance, tax accounting, engineering, construction,or scientific research. In many cases, such dealings involve secrecy. The natives may be involved in military strategy, secret investigation, police work,or occult investigation. If Mars is afflicted, plotting and intrigue can be part of the relationship. The natives can expose each other to danger; in extreme cases, this could result in death for one or both. This is a dynamic combination because of the natural Scorpio connotation of the Eighth house. The natives will encourage each other in efforts at self-regeneration and improvement. They will tend to to strengthen each other's determination and resolve to "do and dare" and to follow through on projects and purposes.

Pluto is a generational planet like Uranus and Neptune. That means that many people of the same time period can have their Pluto's aspecting a certain Person's personal planets.I don't see how you leap to the conclusion that we should get rid of generational aspects in natal if we get rid of them in synastry. Natal aspects are personal aspects. This has nothing to do with the other person. That's a totally different situation. Many astrologers use tight orbs for synastry aspects involving Pluto like no more than 1 degree. When it comes to natal aspects, they use up to 8 degrees. Just like natal generational planets in houses are personal placements unlike natal generational planets in signs.
I wouldn't count a generational planet in another's house as being significant in any way. Now if the generational planet is stationary, which is considered strong planetary energy, then it would be different. A generational planet in another's house would have a strong affect. This goes for natal aspects, synastry aspects, composite aspects, natal house placements, synastry house placements, and composite house placements. IP: Logged |

Venus conjunct Mars can be lust at first sight too because it's very sexual, passionate, aggressive. It's not necessarily love. People can be sexually aroused without loving each other. There has always been sex without love just like there is love without sex.my former roommate/landlord's Neptune conjunct my Venus, and there was no love between him and me. He's homosexual and I am heterosexual. He and I both have Virgo Ascendant and Pisces Moon aspecting Neptune in 3rd. So many things can factor in. IP: Logged |

You can also add Moon conjunction Moon, of course it feels more familiar in terms of being very comfortable with someone. It's an instant emotional attraction IP: Logged |

I've had love at first sight with someone who had a venus square my mars and his mars opposite my venus by sign. I see a lot of sun opposite his or her moon, or moon opposite his or her ascendant. one couple I know who are very happy His moon is opposite her ascendant and square her venus. His sun and venus opposite her moon. Natasha

I have a Venus-Pluto conjunction with the Scorp in the 8th house. He's the Venus, I'm the Pluto. With each of us being Cappy ascendants and opposing sun signs. His moon conjuncts my Descendant and we both have Saturn and Leo in the same sign in each of our 7th houses. I felt the air sucked out of me the first time he walked into a room. Still do, I just hide it better now due to all of the horrible history between us. And he...poor manipulative man that he is...is still trying to get into my pants. He rubbed my butt when i was trying to sit down for our sales meeting today and tried to whisper in my ear during the entire meeting. I ignored him...but man it can be really hard to do at times. I love the aspects we have...amazing chemistry and sexual attraction. I just don't like him as a person much anymore.IP: Logged |

Some aspects that I share with someone who - simply put - completely swept me off my feet:MY Sun trine HIS Moon HIS Moon biquintile MY Moon MY Sun sextile HIS Venus HIS Sun square MY Mars MY Sun conjunct HIS Uranus HIS Sun conjunct MY Neptune HIS Sun sextile MY Pluto HIS Sun trine MY Sappho HIS Sun square MY Sun/Moon MP MY Moon opposite HIS Venus HIS Moon biquintile MY Pluto HIS Moon conjunct MY Ascendant MY Moon opposite HIS Sun/Moon MP HIS Moon opposite MY Sun/Moon MP MY Venus trine HIS Venus by sign HIS Venus trine MY Mars HIS Venus sextile MY Uranus MY Venus sextile HIS Neptune HIS Venus square MY Pluto MY Venus conjunct HIS Pluto HIS Venus trine MY Chiron HIS Venus trine MY Eros MY Venus trine HIS Sappho HIS Venus conjunct MY Cupido MY Venus trine HIS Ascendant HIS Mars square MY Uranus HIS Jupiter conjunct MY Valentine HIS Ascendant conjunct MY N. Node It's kinda hard for me to say which aspect in particular produced the attraction between us. But it was there from the very beginning, that much I know for sure. When I first saw him, I knew that he was "THE ONE" for me. It's impossible for us to resist the attraction, even though we both know that now might not be the right time for us to be together. With my boyfriend, we both felt a strong connection from the beginning, I guess you could say "love at first sight". Our moons are also trined, and our venuses are trined. My moon and venus both conjunct his ascendant, my sun sextiles his moon, his moon sextiles my mercury, my venus conjuncts his pluto, my moon conjuncts his pluto, etc... so there was definitely an emotional connection from the start. There was also strong chemistry.... my venus is in Scorpio, and his mars is in Scorpio.. but they're not close enough for a conjunction. IP: Logged | |
