Hi,

I`ve been reading, that Vertex in Synastry can point to fateful encounters.
But do both persons feel that it`s a fateful encounter or only the one, whoose Vertex is activated.
For example; if someone`s Mars is conjunct or opposite my Vertex, does he also feel the effect of this aspect?

Vertex in Leo and 7th House 25°44'07
Vertex in Sagittarius and 5th House 26°20'44

this causes a very tight trine between my vertex and my girlfriends with 0°76'37 of arc, yes? Well I am still learning, I had to do some digging and looking at other aspects to make sure I interpreted this right. The vertex placements I am sure of. Had to do some digging for degrees and everything else, but I think I am right.

Anywho, I think this would be a very good aspect in our synastry, yes?

Peri,

thank you for the link. That was an interesting read.
You wrote " You may even find that you simply can't let go of that Vertex person (maybe for years or even decades)"
So, if I understood it right, it`s the other person whoose planets activate our Vertex, who feels the "destiny"?

My Vertex falls into Cancer in the 8th house; I never really understood before, why so many people in my life have Cancer or Scorpio-influence (I could understand the Pluto-influence a bit, since I have Pluto conjunct MC, square Venus and sextile Mars / AC). But maybe the placement of the Vertex, which is also conjunct Saturn btw, explains this a little bit.

I wonder if there is a basic rule, such as the Points always Modify the Planets .... (???) Anyone?

So that since the Points are outside of the Planets, a Point such as the Vertex would Modify Pluto. I just don't know how the order of Modification would fall when it comes to Points alone. Example: Does the Vertex Modify the IC? Does the Point who's Sign changes the slowest always Modify the Point who's Sign changes faster? Etc. ...
