I was born at 3:20 PM and for some reason afternoon always creeps me out, like very traumatic.

Anyway, I can be both morning person and night person. I have severe insomnia and so it can be hard to determine. I can be awake for 50 hours straight or sleep for a full day. Hmm. Anyway, I consider myself a night person though because I feel calmest in the deep of the night. Plus I love the nightsky.

Thanks wednesday! you have saved me from having to shamelessly bump my own thread. I was hoping to hear from some more people on this subject. Thank you to all that have told me their story.

In my opinion during night our defences get weak. Its better to sleep early and wake up early.

I was born just afternoon and consider myself nightly. And trying to change all that

I LOVE IT!

I think you might be a lot like me, although our TOB differ, you go on a cycle longer than the 24-hour cycle most are resigned to. The only other time I heard this expressed was hearing some entreprenuer computer geeks talk about their crazy sleep/work schedule. They would work 16-18 (or some crazy) hours straight, then get their sleep. And back again.

I mean, what's life without understanding life from the viewpoint of a newpaper deliverer, as well as from the viewpoint of a cashier who can't wait to get off work and go party.

What is one to do?

I was born during a blizzard in the morning.

I hate snow and I hate mornings.

I'm also Aquarian. That might explain it.

I was born at 12:01am. Military time 00:01.

I am a confirmed morning person, and love to wake up to the sunrise! I will stay inside in the afternoons, especially between 2 and 5pm. I feel that the conditions outside, no matter what time of year, are so harsh. Then I'm out enjoying the evening, especially between 8-10pm. I'll stay up late only if I'm doing a physical activity...like dancing, or, ya know.

I am a morning person, that drives non-morning people nuts with my smile and good cheer. Both of my ex-wives were not morning people, which may help explain the EX part. I was born at 3:23PM

I was born at 12 Noon and I don't like the afternoon @ all. I am @ my best in the morning or in the evening.

Afternoons are problematic for me for some reason.

Mannu-- interesting point. I think I agree with the defenses becoming weak at night. Perhaps those of us night owls need to let defenses down. Like maybe we are so busy protecting ourselves during the day we need the night for ourselves,

I have a little theory of my own. As a sensitve Virgo I tend to love nights because of the peace. My quiet thinking contemplative time has always been either late night or early morning, like 5 AM.

Our nervous system, whether we are extroverted/introverted= diurnal/nocturnal have close links. You could also look to Linda's "feminine night forces" "masculine daylight forces" stuff. [can't remember which book]

I was born at 12:16 am. But swing from night person to morning person. The moon plays a part in my sleep cycle. Full moons I'm restless and anxious for example.
