Here's where I'm looking right now: http://www.mooncatsastrology.com/astro2/quintiles.htm

Often overlooked in Astrological practice, I have found the quintile to be extremely useful in assessing personality traits. Quintiles show in what areas of life one is powerfully driven. These 1/5th or 1/10 (of a circle) aspects between planets create compulsive tendencies imbedded so deeply in one's being that they can become insurmountable, uncontrollable behavior patterns. Quintiles may be quite upsetting if we're not aware of them! They often show personality traits that we can't seem to help or even understand. While this may sound daunting, I believe that Quintiles give us incredible strengths and powers that push us to succeed in whatever it is we are here on this earth to accomplish.

Much more compelling than the dynamic Square aspect, the quintile sends us beyond reason into areas of the psyche that don't care whether or not we conform to or fit in with others. Depending on the closeness of the aspect (by degrees in orb) and the planets or personal points involved, our behavior may become obsessive and uncontrolled. On the other hand, without such compulsions, many of us would flounder in a sea of mediocrity.

In esoteric tradition, 5 is the number of humanity. It represents the mind - that which empowers us to act for ourselves. The 5 represents self-serving, even magical powers. In Tarot - 1 is beginnings, 2 is partnership, 3 is birth, 4 is our foundation & security and 5 is the "unleashing" of our true nature. With the five, we find that we have "gone too far!" In the Tarot pip cards - the 5 of cups creates sorrow, wands creates discord, swords creates a feeling of being wrong and pentacles - material failure. They all seem grim, but they simply illustrate the tragic result of a lack of awareness for the power we wield.

When I discovered my big quintile - Moon 7th house/ Venus & Neptune 9th house - I was relieved to find out what made me behave sometimes irrationally in relationships. Very simply - when there is not harmony, I can't stand it! and I will persist in "making" my partner, friend, child (whoever!) be happy and pleased with me. Rejection is not acceptable... if I don't win my loved one over, I feel absolutely crazed! Knowing this has helped a great deal in recognizing how illogical and unreasonable I can become. I have slowly over the years worked at overcoming this aspect of my personality, and I am grateful to my brother for pointing out the importance of quintiles to me - (thanks Gary!). A less strong quintile between Mercury and Jupiter reveals my compulsion to uncover and learn as much as I can (hours spent at the computer!), and an even weaker quintile between the Moon and Mars hints at my need to act out my emotions immediately. Fortunately I have a strong Saturn that curbs my reactions somewhat. I have learned that these quintiles, while sometimes annoying, keep me on course. They add to my personal magnetism, and help assure that I do something of value every day!

So - enough about me. Here are some vastly more interesting people, sadly gone (I prefer not to write about the living without their knowledge!) who had some very interesting, and obviously fateful Quintiles!

See the link listed above for more of this study.

I've got:

Sun (8th) Quintile Uranus (6th) with a degree
Moon (5th) Quintile Venus (7th) within 2 degrees
Mercury (7th) Quintile Pluto (5th) within a degree
Mercury Quintile PoF (10th) 2 degrees
Mars (6th) Quintile MC 4 degrees
Saturn (1st) Quintile Chiron (11th) exact!

Saturn biquintile Chiron
Here the effect of Saturn is to ground and make stable the higher energies and perceptions that Chiron is trying to release. The temptation to take an over pragmatic approach to life and to ignore other considerations will be strong in early life but once the urge is felt to manifest higher abilities it can be achieved in a very practical way so that you find it easy to charge people up and win them over to your way of thinking thanks to your clear focus. http://www.kozmikhoroscopes.com/pope.htm

Hi AG

How ya doing?? You know how to pique my interest, doncha
I've never looked into these much as they're hard for me to spot with the eye..... I've only got one in my natal -- Moon/Chiron.

Wanna post your 5th harmonic chart and we'll see what's up with that??

From Moses Siregar: "A quintile is a 72 degree aspect. It's based on '5.' If you divide 360 by 5 you get 72. '5' resonates with Mercury more than any planet; it's creative and magical. Any time you have a quintile, those two planets combine to form some very powerful magic and gifts. They are more interesting and unique than trines and sextiles, though also somewhat more subtle. If you want to find someone's gifts in a chart, don't forget the quintiles. They are very special!

Let's hear it for quintiles!

Late addition 5/23/01

I now use an orb more like 5 degrees for quintiles after doing some research on this, and finding it to be true. As usual, though, the closer the aspect the more significant it is. A quintile around 5 degrees wide is still real to me, but not as powerful as a quintile within 1-2 degrees of orb.

Another addition 6/5/01

> Also, could you elaborate a bit on the article you wrote re: special 72 degree aspect (quintile?)

I find quintiles to be extraordinarily important, and to work very well up to about 5 degrees of orb. I think if you don't look for quintiles, you're leaving out one of the most positive indicators in a chart for someone's greatest gifts or blessings, and, of course, we need all the blessings that we can get. So, for the sake of being a positive-minded astrology-student or practitioner, I think it's imperative to spot the quintiles. I'd say treat quintiles like a trine, only more unique and special to the person. Quintile people, in general, are very creative and/or very mentally brilliant, whereas trine people, in general, are more laid-back and able to play and enjoy R & R. The negative of the quintile is being overly mental or active, while the negative of the trine is in being lazy or undisciplined or ungrounded. Since the quintile is based on '5' it makes sense to me that it should be given a wide orb. It's the most primary numerological aspect after the conjunction (1), opposition (2), trine (3), and square (4).

Aloha,
Moses"

Following from: http://www.astrology-research.net/researchlibrary/eureka/ii.htm

"According to the late John Addey, two prime-number aspects often ignored by astrologers had an expecial connectiion with the idea of 'creativity'. Deriving from the numbers five and seven, they are the Quintile and Septile aspects. The quintile was invented (or discovered) by Kepler, while the septile has only been used in fairly modern times. The quintile (72 º) and bi-quintile (144 º) aspects are here shown, as together make up the 'fifth harmonic.'

John Addey also proposed how the orbs of these small or 'minor' aspects should be determined: they should have orbs of 12/nº where n is the 'harmonic number.' For quintiles the number is five, as gives an orb of ±2º.20'. Likewise the family of 'septiles' are here shown, with a 12/7 orb as comes to ±1 º 43'. One would expect just over two quintiles per chart, and likewise for the septiles."

Following from: http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-aspects/quintile-5th-harmonic.php

Sun decile / quintitrine Venus (Sun and Venus are never far enough apart for a quintile): Developing styles of behaviour which will attract other people and make one feel comfortable in their presence; tending (if one cannot find a style of behaviour to fit the occasion) to become withdrawn and taciturn.

Sun quintile Mars: Developing a style of forceful action through which one can express one's personality; being a 'stylist' in everything that one does.

The term came from a Noel Tyl site where I was reading about the Vertex. When I looked it up I got the second page to the article I posted. She used mostly musicians and actors, so that seemed interesting to me.

EDIT: Took out 5th Harmonic chart

Quintiles are measured from plus or minus seventy-two degrees. Bi- quintiles are measured from plus or minus one hundred and forty four degrees which is one or two fifths of a circle. When planets are quintile or bi-quintile this is an indication of uncommon creative energy and talent. They are trend-setters and need an audience. The energy here is specialized and purposely striving toward power. Quintile and bi-quintile energy can be romantic, playful and demonstrative. The quintile family of aspects can indicate science, math and engineering. There's a need to make things happen. Cosmic will seems to be at play here, so if creative things aren't happening, then look for destruction. Quintiles and bi-quintiles bring a certain dignity, clarity, pride and unusual sexual energy. A quintile resonates with the Sun, Fixed, Fire and Leo energy. http://www.adze.com/Classroom/aspects.html#5

Saturn Bi-Quin my MC
Neptune bi-Quin Chiron
Pluto bi-Quin Ascendant

Besides my 5th House Moon conjunct Pluto, these could help explain my Leo tendencies.

A related aspect is the Decile:
A Decile occurs when two planets are thirty six degrees apart. A tri-decile occurs when two planets are one hundred and eight degrees apart. A decile is one tenth of a circle. A tri decile is three tenths. The decile family of aspects is related to the quintiles. The energy of the deciles is such that it conveys order and structure. Mental ingenuity is at work here. Deciles are power and career indicators. They often bring strong technical insights and abilities. Deciles indicate special gifts that may be wasted or unappreciated. Self-improvement is needed to capitalize on this power. Deciles resonate with Saturn, Cardinal, Earth and Capricorn energy.

Sun Decile Mars 2 degrees
Sun Decile MC 2 degrees
Mars Decile Uranus <1 degree
Sun Tri-Dec Saturn 2 degrees

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Moon
You love creativity. You take great delight in clever and creative works and in games. Even in your later years, this trait keeps you young, and you don't easily become bored because you find life so interesting.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Mercury
You consider a really intelligent person to be someone who can creatively express ideas and not just simply understand the mechanics or memorize details. This preference of yours affects many decisions in your life, the people with whom you associate, and the path you choose in life.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Venus
With your knack for creative expression, you need to find outlets for your clever and ingenious aesthetic sensitivity. Whether through art, music, entertainment, or games, you have a gift of creative vision that breathes new life into situations.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Mars
You have a knack for developing creative ways to achieve your goals. Rather than meet obstacles head on, you have a talent for developing graceful maneuvers that are more effective. You can excel at a sport or competition that requires finesse and creativity as well as strength and power.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Jupiter
Professional and business environments suit you well. You enjoy the progressive, creative, enterprising, outgoing, lively life style that participating in a progressive or professional activity brings you.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Saturn
Very likely you notice more often than others that some highly acclaimed work is a variation of some much earlier work. You prefer art, music, and literature that require mastery and real originality.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Uranus
You can succeed in an area that requires creativity or ingenuity. You appreciate creativity, and technical expertise probably doesn't excite you as much as innovation. There is a light-hearted side to you that enjoys jokes, games, cleverness of all kinds, and freedom from dull repetition.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Neptune
You have a natural ability to understand and appreciate different artistic styles. You can intuitively grasp how the dreams, hopes, aspirations, and religious beliefs of people are creatively expressed through traditions, music, arts, and life style. You have a rich imagination and sensitivity to draw upon in your own creative work.

Sun Quintile or Bi-Quintile Pluto
You have a creative drive that gives you the ability to express yourself with a little extra zip and impact than most people. You are good at finding creative solutions and you enjoy a contest or competition that requires ingenuity as well as strength or will power. You react effectively when there are surprises and you meet challenges well. You enjoy competitions, either against yourself or against others.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Mercury
You may have a particularly strong aptitude for, and interest in, mythology or legends. You may also have an interest in anthropology. You find the different ways in which different cultures meet life's challenges very interesting.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Venus
You enjoy, and seek out, relationships that bring interesting experiences into your life. Laughter, games, and learning together are likely to be more important to you than physical attraction. You are likely to take a creative approach to your home environment and your tastes are a bit unconventional or more sensitively developed than other people in your family. If you have not developed the qualities described above, then this is a side of yourself that you may have suppressed or avoided, and consequently liberating your creative, fun-loving side can fill an empty or missing aspect of your life.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Mars
For you competition is great fun. You want to win, but even more than winning, you appreciate a competitor who forces you to improve your "game" and to develop creative strategies to win. You love the competition and you love the celebration that follows if you are victorious. You are most compatible with people who find challenges enjoyable and entertaining. For you play is like work to others, and your work is like play.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Jupiter
You seek out environments that are enjoyable and interesting. While others may be preoccupied with their responsibilities or goals, you have a knack for discovering enjoyable places where laughter, creativity, and happiness abound. Whether rich or poor and regardless of your background, you find enjoyable activities like games, parties, exploring various ethnic styles, or simply by enjoying a creative and interesting approach to daily activities. You can also help others to lighten up and drop their worries by simply being open to what is interesting and enjoyable in their own lives.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Saturn
For your full creative powers to develop, you need periods of solitude and reflection. You are not a recluse and you can fare well without solitude but your own unique and individual creative powers are developed through your own individual reflections. Studying the works of masters rather than reading another person's interpretation of the work of a master can also often benefit you. You have the ability to develop new methods and concepts that are useful and practical.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Uranus
You like to improvise and break traditional rules for doing things. You feel free and exhilarated by being able to express yourself spontaneously and in an uninhibited manner. You also can develop a great sense of humor and become interested in comedy or games.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Neptune
You have a very creative imagination. You appreciate imaginative stories, arts, and music. Your dreams may be vivid. Art or music is a good outlet for you, either by creating the works yourself or appreciating the work of others.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Pluto
Most likely you enjoy movies, plays, books, poems, and other works that treat issues like death, jealousy, or the psychological depths and complexities of people. You have the ability to express deep feelings creatively. You may also have an interest in many kinds of art and music, particularly primitive or very expressive art forms.

Mercury Quintile or Bi-Quintile Venus
You have a creative flair to the way you do things, and you are best suited to work that requires creativity. You are not inclined to rote learning and repetition, nor are you inclined to repetitively practice or execute the same sequence over and over again. You excel by allowing yourself time to appreciate and understand the ingenuity, cleverness, and creative genius of others, which inspires you more than dedication to one goal or way of doing something.

Mercury Quintile or Bi-Quintile Mars
You will never lose your child-like love of learning, but you may find traditional teaching methods very boring and even mentally deadening. You love to learn how things work and you are very bright, but a teacher that focuses on memorization or trivial details will actually inhibit, rather than promote, your progress in learning. You are a creative thinker and if your educational training is too restrictive, then your full potential will become most evident in your adult years. You should pursue a career that utilizes your gift for creative thinking and analysis.

Mercury Quintile or Bi-Quintile Jupiter
You thoroughly enjoy being exposed to new ideas and perspectives. You seem to know a little bit about everything, and you find different philosophies, styles, and approaches very interesting. You tend to not be as opinionated as most people or to take all these different ideas as seriously as many others do.

Mercury Quintile or Bi-Quintile Saturn
You have a talent for developing your own style or unique approach to a subject. You synthesize the models, concepts, or techniques of others into a pattern or design that is unique and personally comfortable for you. If you develop expertise or facility in any area, you will experiment and play with different conceptual models until you develop a new mold that suits your personal taste.

Mercury Quintile or Bi-Quintile Uranus
You have an unusually creative mind, and you need outlets for your open-minded approach to life. You tend to be successful in an environment where products or services are being developed or ingenuity is required. You adapt well to new ideas and you are able to identify potential in a new idea while others may overlook it because it does not fit into their preconceived notions. You have an ability to enjoy clever ideas, whether they are new gadgets, or technology, a fresh approach in arts or music, or any other area, without being burdened by your personal responsibilities. While others have excuses, like not having enough available time to learn something new, you avail yourself of the opportunity to experience new things.

Mercury Quintile or Bi-Quintile Neptune
You have a very strong imagination and a great appreciation for fantasy. You never lose your child-like sense of awe and magic. You can excel in areas that require a creative imagination.

Mercury Quintile or Bi-Quintile Pluto
You appreciate any work that is done with passion. You enjoy periodically becoming fully engrossed in a book, research, movie, sports, or any other activity. You have the ability to develop expertise or excellent technique through your combination of creativity and focused attention.

Venus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Mars
You are a creative person. You are most comfortable in an environment where people are creative or playful. A very plain and ordinary environment is boring and dull for you. You add color and spice to whatever you do, and you often prefer something that is made by an individual rather than a plain, mass produced item. In romantic relationships and marriage you are most comfortable with someone who is passionate, creative, or playful, and surprises you on occasion.

Venus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Jupiter
You have a keen appreciation for good art and you may have a strong interest in cultural activities or entertainment. You appreciate and support creativity and the arts. Sports, games, and other entertainments can be very happy affairs, but you may avoid sports when the emphasis is on competition and discipline rather than creativity and amusement.

Venus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Saturn
Everyone has their favorite songs, colors, artists, and styles, but for you they are particularly strong and important. Once the essence and power of a particular style, design, concept, image, or archetype captures your attention, you can become transfixed or obsessed with it. You have a keen appreciation and sensitivity for how different designs or concepts have their own unique power. You may, for example, have a keen appreciation of different artistic and musical styles.

Venus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Uranus
Humor, music, entertainment, games or sports, and creativity of all kinds are very important for you. You can manage reasonably well in a stable, predictable routine, but you really come alive and are in your element when you can periodically play, laugh, or be a bit zany. Children can bring out the best in you by evoking your playful, creative side. Exploring many kinds of music, dance, or theater may be an interest of yours.

Venus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Pluto
You appreciate art that is done with passion and feeling. You probably have friends and colleagues who have different socio-economic backgrounds because superficial differences are not important to you.

Mars Quintile or Bi-Quintile Jupiter
You are very good at finding creative solutions to problems. Rather than following the prescribed, well-traveled path, you have a talent for finding a creative way to reach your goals. You enjoy making strategies and creative plans. You do not measure success in terms of totaling assets but rather in the ability to develop and grow in areas that are interesting, creative, entertaining, or cultural.

Mars Quintile or Bi-Quintile Saturn
You work well on creative projects, especially if solitude or focused concentration and dedication are required. You can be a good craftsman or craftswoman, writer, gardener, or worker in any other creative activity.

Mars Quintile or Bi-Quintile Uranus
You have a need to get a bit wild once in a while. You need an element of surprise and adventure, whether that be as simple as a trip to go skiing in the mountains or to listen to music with unusual rhythms or a free-spirited quality. If your life has a very stable, repetitive quality and routine, you need periodic breaks from this to loosen up and let yourself be spontaneous and free. You feel completely alive and in your element when you have there is some adventure, experimentation, play, surprise, or creativity in your life.

Mars Quintile or Bi-Quintile Neptune
Simply producing useful and functional objects and services is not sufficient for you. Putting a creative and imaginative quality into whatever you do is much more suitable to you. Fantasy and fiction appeal to you, and you are fascinated by imaginative ideas.

Mars Quintile or Bi-Quintile Pluto
You have a talent for putting a personal, creative touch into whatever you do. You have good stamina and you are invigorated by challenges. You are resourceful and seek out clever solutions to any problem and to meet any obstacle.

Jupiter Quintile or Bi-Quintile Neptune
You appreciate and enjoy very imaginative art, clothing, and music. You probably have some very interesting decorations or art in your possession.

Uranus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Neptune
You appreciate many different kinds of art and music, and you are perceptive and sensitive to subtle and sophisticated creative genius. You appreciate creativity and imagination that has the power to inspire, uplift, or amaze.

Uranus Quintile or Bi-Quintile Pluto
It is good for you to enjoy games, parties, sporting events, or adventures that require creative solutions, laughter, or surprises. You need an element of surprise or adventure periodically in your life.

Does any one know of material that covers Chiron to the MC with this aspect? Jim Morrison is mentioned with this having to do with a need to express difficulties with a wound/masculinity that needed to be expressed. I would like to see more. Specifically with Chiron Pisces 7th Q Gemini MC

WAIT !

Lot's of people don't know what a Quintile symbol looks like ::: Just so they don't look at their Chart and confuse it for a "Quintile-sounding-like" Aspect :::

If you see a report which has a BiQuintile, here's the symbol for that :::

And this is what a Grand Quintile looks like in a Wheel, apparently :::

I'll try to add more images of what gets confused sometimes. I know, I haven't got them all straight in my head yet. Like most of us, I get so caught up in the interpretation text, and then it's like, "what was the question?"

Ooops for the BiQuintile symbol. I've harped on this before, but I just don't think Web sites know that keeping their images to themselves is a detriment to their visitorship. But hey, maybe that's the idea.

Hold on, fishin' for another ...

Well, a BiQuitile looks like the Quintile, except there's a lowercase "b" just to the left of it. Looks a lot like this :::

bQ

These are NOT to be confused with

This is a Quincunx, which is the same thing as what's called an Inconjunct: 150o (one hundred fifty Degrees)

As you can see, the basic Aspects we know and love also start to split up into their own identities. Neverending. So if someone needs to review some of the lesser-known Aspects, in a very short summary form with option-to-buy), maybe we'll start a new thread (and maybe we WON'T ... heee)

Lets not forget the SemiQuintile (36 degrees), in our discussions of the Quintile (72) and Bi-Quintile (144).

I don't use more than a 1 degree orb for SemiQuintiles and no more than 2 degrees for Quintiles and Bi-Quintiles.

Here is Martin Seymour-Smith's view of these angles-

SemiQuintile-
"This is a subharmonic of 5H, and I have found it indicative of the interpersonal difficulties which arise from the exercise of any kind of power or talent, whether for good or evil. It is more difficult than 15H (24 degrees and multiples), but is frequently suggestive of useful ways of relating to people. 108 degrees, called the tre-decile, has a similar meaning. These aspects should never be neglected, and they are by no means neutral. They appear as oppositions in the 5H chart, and the signs, or houses, across which such aspects fall are helpful indications of the areas of life in which the difficulties will be found."

Quintile/Bi-Quintile:
"The intensity of the Quintile is very great up to 1 degree, but falls off sharply after that. This series of aspects, with its subharmonics (especially 15H and 20H), has been very seriously neglected. The aspect was introduced, with the 8H aspects, by Kepler. Quintile and Bi-Quintile connections describe the capacity a person has for integrating his faculties in action: to put it more simply, they show not what he ought to be good at so much as what he most certainly CAN be good at, even if that is positively evil. The bodies in a Quintile should be looked at, initially, as 'malefics': they should be seen in their most sinister light. This is because the Quintiles indicate power, and so in the first instance we should take, so to say, the gloomiest view. But the Quintile is not a malefic aspect in itself, any more than is any other aspect. A Trine shows which principles flow easily together; a Quintile, the Pluto aspect Par Excellence, shows which principles act together in a compulsive and external way. A Trine might show no more than a state of mind, though this cannot be neglected: states lead to actions, or inertia. A Quintile between the same two bodies would indicate something either compulsive or something acheived."

Examples:
"[The Neptune-Vertex Quintile indicates an individual who must deal with Neptunian matters- imagination, deception, madness, the sea- on all levels.]"

"[The Sun-Pluto Quintile indicates a compulsion to create, arrogance, the need to be able to speak as an authority, a violent and contradictory emotional life, difficulties in relaxing. All of this functions, one would suggest, as near-compulsive behavior in the native, almost out of their control.]"

"[The 5H chart indicates Facility. People who tend to explode into the world in a fluent or cacophonous manner are likely to have charts loaded with Quintiles: Mozart and Hitler are examples. In 5H charts we can look for such indications as 'harmoniousness' more confidently than we can in Radical charts: if we don't find it, we may well begin to fear misfortune for someone.]"

"[An import clue to the nature of the Quintile is its undeniable power in Synastry: here it shows sexual attraction, the capacity for two people to enjoy each other physically, especially if the Mars and the Venus of each chart are connected by Quintile. This gives a precise indication of the kind of power that the Quintile carries: it is a power that is colored by sexuality, or that has at least the quality of strong sexual urge. The Quintile tells us a great deal about the way in which sexual energy is used.]"

I have:

Moon Quintile Ascendant (@ 01.22')

Sun SemiQuintile Neptune (@ 00.57')
Mars SemiQuintile Uranus (@ 00.51')
Jupiter SemiQuintile Neptune (out of orb @ 01.18')
Saturn SemiQuintile Uranus (@ 00.11')
Uranus SemiQuintile Pluto (@ 00.14')

Semi-Quintile:
Sun Semi-Quin Mars 1 degree
Mars Semi-Quin Uranus 1 degree

Those are my only two semi-Quins.

The creation of interpretations based on generalized information on the aspect is really difficult for me at this point, so I have no idea how these play out as interpersonal difficulties.

AJ ~

I like your enlarged Quincunx glyph
I find the aspect easier to remember when I think of it as a picnic-table -- the right-side up glyph is the Inconjunct, upside-down is the Semi-Sextile.....

Yup, before a hurricane, the picnic table is upside up. After the hurricane, picnic table upside down. (hee)...

Wow, nice information!

AG,

quote:

This got me because I have the moon-venus and moon-mars quintiles too. I hear ya, it goes the same way for me. And to think the quintile was a good aspect! Or maybe it is one in hiding..

Semiquintile is same as a decile. That's 1/10. Quintile is 2/10. Tridecile is 2/10. Biquintile is 4/10 which reduces to 2/5. and opposition is 5/10 which reduces to 1/2.

Here is info on decile

A Decile occurs when two planets are thirty six degrees apart. A tri-decile occurs when two planets are one hundred and eight degrees apart. A decile is one tenth of a circle. A tri decile is three tenths. The decile family of aspects is related to the quintiles. The energy of the deciles is such that it conveys order and structure. Mental ingenuity is at work here. Deciles are power and career indicators. They often bring strong technical insights and abilities. Deciles indicate special gifts that may be wasted or unappreciated. Self-improvement is needed to capitalize on this power. Deciles resonate with Saturn, Cardinal, Earth and Capricorn energy. http://www.adze.com/Classroom/aspects.html

No idea. The only Quintile I've got is between Moon and the North Node. I've got several Bi-Quintiles though.
