It seems the female Pisces I know have really developed some serious chips on their shoulders about men over the last couple years or so, and many seem to be turning to the comfort of lesbians.

Uranus is closing in on the mid-point of its transit through Pisces.

I really hope these Fish become less militant and bitter towards men when Uranus leaves Pisces and Neptune leaves Aquarius.

The world needs its lovely, compassionate Pisces, and it is frustrating to see so many of them becoming radically biased man-haters.

I know this is a touchy subject.

And I know I'm treading on thin ice, considering women out-number men on this forum by, like, 20-to-1.

But as I've said before: I think holding back is a shame. I don't believe in the word "taboo", and I feel every single topic regarding the nature of humanity should be freely discussed.

But I'll understand if no one cares to contribute to this...

...Dismissal was all I received when I tried to address the feminist initiative with the Pisces women...

The world, by large, doesn't seem ready to discuss itself.

Hi SW

I have Sun Venus and mercury in Pisces in 7th/8th depending on which chart you use.

I am not a feminist but am a very strong female - I've had to be life has certainly tested me. Certainly not a feminist, well not a 'ball breaking' one anyhow.

My Pisces sensitivity is a strength not a weakness. How can you truly understand how others feel and be able to help if you are not a feeling person yourself.

I do scare a lot of men off lol but only the ones who like to be in control and cannot understand a free thinking woman who is capable of looking after herself.

The lesbian thing certainly doesnt apply to me, think I must be one of the one in 20 women who doesnt want to have sex with another woman. It has never been a fantasy of mine.

If I have a man in my life its because I 'want' not because I 'need'.

Like you I also beleive no subject should be taboo and am willing to discuss any subject that I have knowledge about.

Love Venus
x

Yes I agree with WaterN. That is not me at all. What I can say is that I am very strong and confident of myself and no one absolutely no one can change that..

While I'm not a feminist, the "comfort", as you put of, of becoming a lesbian has crossed my mind on too many occassions. I can't say that I'm bitter toward men because I've never been personally involved with one. I can't say I know much about any of this but ... feminists really irritate me lol. So there's my half cent.

This Pisces Moon loves Men (: Ha, if I were to swing to the other side it would be because of curiousity and not out of scorn for males. A couple of my Aqua heavy friends have been going through love/hate times with men. Disappointment rather than total rejection for them.

I'm all for female power but have never considered myself a feminist. It seems that (some) feminists see women's libe as one-sided. Example: IMO, some feminists see some women's choice to live the traditional role (homemaker/mother) as a step backwards while heavily promoting the career do-it-all woman. I see this as hypocritical, as the point of female freedom (to me) is the freedom to decide how you want to live your life.

I might have briefly entertained the thought,
but not for long.
It's not exclusive to the sexes...
the entire planet is whacked.

I just have an overall hostility towards humanity in general.

(just kidding---I couldn't really)

what's a girl to do?

*edited to say, I'm not a Pisces.
Just Neptunian. So the present transits aren't affecting me the same, although as a Sag, Pluto has been hard up my *ss long enough to compel me to barge in on this thread, uninvited.

I'm not a Pisces; I'm an aquarius. I AM a man hater and a feminist and I don't care what people think or have to say about that.

I've been basically forced to hate men, by men, thanks to a very psycopathic scorpio and his associates. I'm not attracted to women, but I think it would be a hell of a lot safer for me in my current situation. I've been forced to be in literal self-defense mode for years now and it's taken its toll.

Anyway, the whole feminist thing is really about getting equal rights and laws for women and isn't concerned with your occupation or if you're a stay at home mom. Personally, if I had a child, I'd want to be a full time mom.

Without feminist groups lobbying for your rights as women in society, we could be treated like Pakistanian women, who when raped, need at least four witnesses to corroborate it was indeed rape - if they fail to meet that burden, they are charged with adultery and subject to death. We wouldn't have "rape shield laws" that prohibit a women's sexual history and dress from being presented as evidence in court, thus holding her accountable for her rape.

We wouldn't have women's shelters or laws to protect battered women from their batterers. We had to fight tooth and nail for these laws, and only recently were they implemented.

We wouldn't have the right to vote. "Feminists" fought tooth and nail for this right, which we only received 86 years ago. Some of them died to earn us this right.

If you ever are a victim of a crime by a man, you'll be contacting these "feminists" more than the police to help you. They are: victim advocates, women's shelters, lawyers, etc, etc, etc. The list is too vast to name them.

I hope you never need them, but 25% of you will. And you'll thank God for them, their power, support, and bravery. And you'll see that this issue isn't about raising children or hating men. It's about protecting women and enacting laws that do so.

Woo-hoo! Go Mustang!

I'm not a lesbian (although I am not sure HATING men is what determines sexual preference....... I don't think men are gay because they hate women, for example.)

If you define feminist as someone who thinks women should be valued and have equal human rights as men, then yes, I am a card-carrying feminist. If your definition of feminist is someone who has some anti-male agenda, that's a different story. Equal rights isn't about hating either gender, it's about valuing people regardless of their gender.
Maybe it's just a choice of words but I'm not sure why you feel this way, SO what's the story behind the question?

I think there's a HUGE misconception of "feminism" and thats why there's a stigma attached to it. Its not about hating men, being a lesbian, or even becoming a career woman while you have to reject becoming a mother and wife (which is fine too if thats your path in life). All it is about is equal rights- being strong and independent which doesn't have to have anything to do with man-hating.

2000 years ago a bunch of men got the idea that it would be good to control society, so a "particular" religion was "invented."

Throughout the ages, the Goddess was lost, forgotten. Patriarcial rule reigned, the world as we know it crumbled to....crap.

And it is still crumbling....

I am WOMAN hear me ROAR!

I have been burnt, hurt, degrated, devalued, drawn and quartered, burned at the steak, buldgeoned, stoned, misinterpretated, underestimated, god, the list goes on and on.........

But...I take responsibility for what has happened to ME...

I own it!

Now that I know this

I am back, we are back, the GODDESS IS BACK!!!!!!!

Lookout guys, here we come. We are stronger and smarter and beautiful as ever and I know that you have known this all along! And I know that you men are ready for us because you have always been.

I love men, I love the male anatomy, the male persona, the image of masculinity. I love having male friends, I love having male lovers, just love men!!! And...I respect lesbianism.

My very old, 18 year old daughter once told me "androgeny is a quality of the soul..." Yes, when two souls meet, of like mind....
She is an Aries sun, Pisces asc/moon.

I am Pisces sun/Venus(Aries cusp). Jupiter, Mars and Mercury in Aqua. And I am a bit bitter due to failed relationships. I have chosen to remain single for the time being, to really figure out what I really want and need in a man.

So, to address the original topic of this thread...This sensitive, caring, unconditionally loving Pisces sun woman is still the same, just taking time out for me, and for all of my sisters.

My Aqua says I am woman hear me roar!! My Pisces says I will love you always (the men in my life,) and I will remain in a dreamy state until it is mainfested!!

I feel that the purpose of human existence is to reach peace and understanding.

Therefore, I believe that Female Empowerment and Male Empowerment are both anti-evolution.

Both serve to segregate and push the opposite sex away.

Completely Anti-Evolution.

That's a really good attitude, but it won't work. An abuser can't be saved by love - that is a common misconception by battered women. Maybe you didn't mean it that way - could you elaborate? It could work for certain men or situtations, though, which is why I'd like to hear more.

Scorpionic, I'm a pisces right now and have been all year. I did a progressed year for a day chart and I'm a pisces sun, LOL! How odd. (See my thread, entitled, I'm a Pisces.")

I'm all for peace and understanding, but it's not possible unless people view one another as equals.

I agree that feminists have made a huge amount of progress for women. But am I the only one that feels way too many have gone overboard with it? Like, I don't know how to explain it. We've gotten to this point and it's kind of like, what else can we ask for?

Bullsh1t! There is quite a difference between an intelligent woman that wants equal rights for an equal job versus a femi-nazi that just hates men.

The feminists of yesterday would throw-up at the man-hating, bitter women of today. Because of this militant behaviour we see a major backfire of events occuring. Any woman that now climbs the corporate, military or fire department latter is considered "only meeting a quota". Then we have men now wondering what in the hell they are supposed to do on a date. Do they open our door or will that cause the woman to yell 'YOU SOB I can open my own god-damn door!!!"

Or my personal favorite "I'm a damn feminist, I am equal to a man - but you better pay for my meal on our date".

Really... do you really think that is the way it should be?

The feminists did not get the rape shield laws into affect. Women that had been raped decided they would no longer be victims and pushed for their rights. Where were the feminists when women in Iraq and Afghanistan (and yes even Pakistan) were being murdered for showing their elbow?

This is exactly the type of attitude that causes a huge division between men and women. We start over-playing our vaginas and hating their penis's as an attempt to validate ourselves when instead we should be looking at our similarities and how we're BOTH human.

No worries though... for every man hating woman there is a woman hating man- I am sure they have also caused more of the other after their initial meeting - thus creating even more man and woman haters.

Thank God I have a real man

Amen

Thats along the lines I was thingking of. When I said some, I meant those with the more extreme views (likely in the minority). In my life, I have had negative experiences with such individuals. Anyways, I do enjoy the variety of views as I then compare and contrast them with my own. I have one last thing on my mind regarding this subject. If we as females openly disdain men.... we then are in no place to complain if the men do the same for us.

Yeah I agree that female "extremists" are a detriment to us,you can even say they're just as bad as male chauvinists. But I don't all female empowerment is bad because it was originally about wanting to be seen as equals. I mean we gotta look out for ourselves sometimes-says my mars in aries.
