I "discovered" Magi - astrology some time ago, and I would like to know what you`re experiences are with it.
What do you think of it?

Last time I read anything they wrote it was on the asteroid Juno, and some of the things they were saying about it like "being the most sexual of all indicators" and "Lust without marriage". They were making it sound like they we're right on target about the theory and they didn't seem open to other ideas of it. I never really thought of Juno as being a "**** " asteroid, but definitely having to do with love and partnerships. (I hope your talking about the site)?

I am familiar with it.

They have, imo, the most accurate insight on Chiron and on quincunxes and on Saturn. And also on Natalization.

Unfortunately, they also make some over-inflated claims. And they have things that go right over my head, esp the declinations.

I agree with Belage. Ive been researching their theories against my own experience and database of a few hundred people. Their explanation of how quincunxes work is brilliant and def on. I always sensed intuitively that quincunx signs had a deeper but less logical connection than the other aspects and traditional astrology's stance of the quincunx as having nothing in common or as representing some sort of blind spot didnt make much sense. Trines can be blind spots, conjunctions can be blind spots as they are energies we often take for granted. Quincunx's stand out. As an aspect they can be very beneficial depending on the planets involved.

Their ideas on chiron seem to me to be dead on. I dont get their insistence on the marriage day and the cinderella transit idea.
The declinations do seem to represent some degree of connection but are not as strong as conjunctions.
Their understanding of neptune being longevity and divine love and uranus ruling fame makes alot of sense. Traditional astrology has fame, movies, etc under neptune.
They acknowledge that enough jupiter and chironic aspects can mitigate hard saturn aspects and hard saturn aspects both ways can keep a relationship balanced with neither party having too much control. This is all stuff I had thought to varying degrees but had never seen any substantiation for in traditional astrology until I came across magi astrology. Traditional astrology views hard saturn aspects in a relationship as overwhelmingly negative.

Yup, the Saturn point of view alone is worth looking into it, esp. /relationships.

I agree with Bucketrider.

There are several things that made me think.
They made me take notice of the declinations for the first time, and it seems to me that they are important, creating connections, even though not as strong as conjunctions.
But still they seem to have a certain impact. But maybe I just want to see that, because someone I`m very interested in, has his Venus contraparallel my Chiron, which would be great according to Magi, and maybe I just want to see that confirmed. lol
But what fascinates me the most is their idea of planetary geometry, which is not really new, but somehow I seem to have a better understanding of it now.

However, I really have problems with the way they write, sometimes. Am I the only one who thinks that sometimes they sound a bit arrogant on their website?

Their magi quad stuff is based on Hamburg School/Uranian Astrology. They kinda borrow stuff too. They are not always original.

I don't think quincunx is a beneficial aspect. The signs don't have much in common. They don't have element, gender, nor mode in common. The keyword for them is strain, tension which requires adjustment, revision. In medical astrology, quincunx relates to health issues.

With a Moon in Pisces,I would feel very out of synch with a person with Leo Moon or Libra Moon.

Another thing, Magi don't see same planet aspects like Venus trine Venus as meaningful. They make an exception for Mars aspects. I don't get that at all.

I don't see why they dismiss the sextile which is a Ptolemaic aspect but not the quincunx which is not a Ptolemaic aspect nor a first division of a harmonic aspec..it's a 5/12. Sextile is 1/6. If Magi astrologers use the quincunx, then why not the semisextile which is 1/12? A planet that is quincunx a point is also semisextile the opposite point.
For instance, if you have Mars in 5 degree Aquarius and Mercury in 5 degrees Leo,the other person's Venus in Cancer quincunx Mars and semisextile Leo.

I also don't agree that my Chiron(a generational body)in harmonious aspect to another person's chart means that I am in love and want to marry that person. There is often other stuff that might indicate that. I would definitely be looking at Venus. I don't agree that hard Venus aspects mean dislike or lack of attraction. I would also look at the ascendant/descendant axis.

Another thing too, they look at oppositions as bad aspects...well....oppositions to the ascendant aren't necessarily bad because they are conjunctions to the descendant which is the relationship cusp. Also some oppositions involving Moon and Venus aren't so negative. Sun oppose Moon is often found in marriages. They can compliment each other. I doubt Sun oppose Venus is bad either. That can be a strong attraction.

Also they use celebrities for examples. We all know that celebrity couples tend to be very unstable, fickle. Many of them are bound to get divorced.

another thing too....Magi Astrologers focus on only Chiron, but Chiron is one of many centaurs in our solar system. Chariklo is a centaur located between Saturn and Uranus like Chiron. It's even larger and brighter than Chiron. Chariklo was Chiron's wife in mythology. Then why don't Magi Astrologer's use Chariklo as marriage too if they believe Chiron is. How come Magi Astrologers don't incorporate the other named centaurs like Pholus which is the 2nd centaur that was discovered 20 yrs after the discovery of Chiron. It links Saturn and Neptune. What about Nessus? That one can be quite nasty in hard aspect. It links Saturn and Pluto. What about Hylonome? What about Asbolus. There over 10 named centaurs and over 50 centaurs overall in our solar system.

It's convenient for Magi Society to only use Chiron and overlook the other centaurs.

Another thing, they don't use other objects(large Kuiper belt objects and Ceres) that are even larger Chiron. They overlook Ceres which is the largest of the asteroids, and it is now classified as a dwarf planet. It has to do with nurturing. Nurturing is not important in relationships and family? Why do they decide to only look at Juno and forget about Ceres?

Another thing too is that the Midheaven is a personal point that shouldn't be overlooked. Cosmobiologists and Uranian astrologers see Midheaven as the soul,"I" They see it as most personal point. They see that planets aspecting the Midheaven as very personal connections. This could also be that it also aspects the Imum Coeli(4th house cusp). After all Imum Coeli is the opposite point of the Midheaven(10th house cusp). Any planet that aspects the Midheaven aspects the Imum Coeli. Oppositions to the Midheaven aren't necessarily bad because they also conjunct the Imum Coeli.

I have Magi Society's book, but I am not a Magi Astrologer. I don't see it reliable for looking at Magi Astrology. I also find them to be rather dogmatic. They have a bias towards JudaeChristianity too. There is a lot of generalization with the aspects. Like they claim that Sun-Saturn aspects are atheists. They say that the malefic Saturn rules atheism and Buddhism. They say that the benefic Jupiter rules Judae-Christianity. They say that Chiron rules New Age.

Glaucus,

you have voiced some of my reservations.
When I discovered Magi astrology I was very much fascinated by the simplicity (and utterly appalled by the dogmatism and prejudices).

I found (and still find) some things very interesting like the declinations, midpoints (yes, I know they "borrowed" them from the Uranian) and planetary geometry.

Quinkunxes:
I really don`t know what to do with this aspect. I somehow feel it has a certain relevance, but somehow I cannot pinpoint it down.
I agree, that the quinkunx connects signs that are different as can be (as does the semisextile: why do astrologers partly use the quinkunx, but not the semisextile; it`s very similiar: different element, different gender; different mode).
Well, I have always had problems with Cancer`s, especially with their Moon and ASC in Cancer (Cancer is the quinkunx-sign of my Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Ascendant), and still it`s almost ridicilous, that so many important (mostly female) people have Moon or ascendant in Cancer (mostly both). There seems to be a strange and mysterious pull to such peoiple, that I cannot explain (May have to do with my Vertex in cancer, too).
The other quinkunx-sign of my moon is virgo, and again; there are so many virgo`s or people with virgo-influence in my life, it`s amazing. My Mother (Moon, Venus, mars in Virgo), my father (Ascendant in virgo), two female friends (sun in virgo), and lately there have been surprisingly many Virgo-men coming into my life (Sun or ascendant in Virgo).
So, maybe the quinkunx is really an meaningful aspect, even though I cannot see it as easy (too much differences between the signs).

Same planet aspects:
I don`t understand this either. I think they are important. Event hough I feel the female / male - pairings (like Sun-Moon or Venus-Mars) are even more important (speaking in terms of attraction).
But personally I like it very much, if someone`s Venus is in easy aspect to mine. A little bit of harmony can be pleasant.

I don`t get either, why they dismiss the sextile. maybe it`s not as strong as a trine (I haven`t developed a firm opinion on that point yet), but it`s a very interesting aspect, a friendship-aspect, I think.

I`m not sure about Chiron. I mean, everyone born in 1974 has his or her Saturn square my Chiron. Does that mean I would never be able to have a happy relationship with anyone my age?

Well, I must say, I tend to include the rulerships of houses more and more, but they dismiss the houses totally.
But in a way I think it could be important, if your ruler of 7 is conjunct another ones Mars (even if the ruler of 7 is mercury like in my case).

But having voiced all those thoughts and doubts, I still must say, that I was fascinated by the thought that you can really see in a chart, of people will get along or not.
I mean, many astrologers (including myself I fear) tend to watch out for the smallest details, until they finally find a confirmation of their thoughts.
I mean if I look deep enough into a horoscope, I finally will find a "prove" that a certain relationship is heaven made.
like we say:
"Mmh, your Juno is trine my Neptune? We`re made for each other.
Oh your Moon is square my Sun and moon? Let`s forget about it. Your Juno is trine my Neptune after all, and everything will be rosy."
I hope you understand what I mean.
Basically I just look for the essentials, for signs, planets, aspects, that stand out in a chart, that are really meaningful, so that I can base my interpretation on them.

Yes, DarkDreamer, I find them to be very smug and arrogant too. And their customer serviced sucked. Years ago, I bought their program, installed it on my computer with great difficulty, as I was required to have a special key and tons of other stuff to get it to work. Then, after all the hoopla, it didn't deliver what it promised and it was hard to understand. They are very cagey with their information. It was a turn off for me.

Glaucus, I think they have an emphasis on Chiron based on research they claim was done on a substantial number of people. They found that Chiron was significant as an indicator of marriage and soulmate connection.

Chiron is the wounded healer, and most of us look to marriage or to our soulmate as the person who can best heal our inner wounds. We usually think we need a soulmate because we don't feel whole. In truth, the soul needs no mate, but our inner wound doesn't think so. Chiron represents the illusion.

If Chiron is well aspected with our SO, this can actually happen in an harmonious way. If it is not, the romantic dream gets shattered. Healing can still take place, but usually, it is done through lots of pain and most of the time, we end up having to heal ourselves.

Glaucus, their insight on quincunxes resonated with me.

Quincunxes are very valid aspects. They exemplify to me the notion that each sign is connected to every other sign. Quincunxes require that each planet involved takes turn being the dominant one. Which is possible for any other planet except Saturn.

Saturn, more so than Pluto, has to be the top dog, always. That's why quincunxes involving Saturn are never harmonious. Pluto being the planet of power knows when to take a breather here and there and play dead, only to resurface stronger than before. Saturn does not know how to do that.

I have to disagree with that. I feel that it really depends on the person(s). Saturn is not just about control.

I have numerous saturn aspects

Sun quincunx Saturn
Moon square Saturn
Mercury contraparallel Saturn
Venus contraparallel Saturn
Jupiter oppose Saturn
Neptune oppose Saturn
Neptune contraparallel Saturn
Saturn conjunct Midheaven

even Saturn is the handle of my bucket pattern.

I can't relate to how Magi Society talks about Saturn. The main thing that I see about Saturn operating in my chart is high degree of seriousness, reserve, shyness, feelings of inadequacy, and inhibition as well as a difficult life/upbringing with a strong need for stability and security. At times,I can be rigid. I had a lot of discipline and structure at home and in the military. Seeing how my Saturn has numerous challenging aspects,it's no wonder that my Saturn energy manifests negatively.
Saturn can be good for maturity, ambition and being an authority as well as being responsible and having a sense of duty as well as obligation. For instance,I feel obliged to support my mother because she was the one that raised, provided for,and took care of me.

Also in synastry...Saturn aspects can indicate significant amount of age difference...that's in general

I don't believe Magi Society touches on everything about Saturn. Saturn is not all about being a control freak. If it is,it is often because it's often feeling inadequate and afraid of change which can threaten their stability and security.

These are my Saturn aspects from Astroinsight Report...a program for Kepler. I can definitely relate to this stuff.

Sun Quincunx Saturn:

You're serious, responsible, industrious, and hardworking. You probably matured early and may have missed out on much of the joy of childhood. You tend to get along well with mature people and the elderly. You can become a star by becoming more purposeful. By disciplining yourself, you can make yourself into a self-made person.

You can become a star by learning how to get more joy out of the sheer struggle of life. It's important to become consciously aware of the rules that you have made for yourself and for others. Become aware of any judgmental internal voices.

Moon Square Saturn:

You can positively relate to people by searching your feelings and being objective,
thereby resolving some of the alienation that you are experiencing.

You may do some of your best relating with an older person. You need emotional
support as well as practical and immediate answers. Learn patience and perseverance.

Learn to draw upon your own inner strength and security and problem solving abilities. Learn to control your emotions without repressing them. Get beyond your parents' emotional limitations. Get beyond the suspicions and traumas of childhood.

Jupiter Opposition Saturn:

You can actually enjoy the long, hard struggle to get ahead. And you can plod steadily forward in the face of adversity. Instead of unfavorably comparing yourself to others, you need to learn to recognize your own self worth and give of yourself to others.

There is no need for you to be an extremist. Embrace both your liberal and your
conservative side. By learning to be honest with yourself, you will be able to face reality better and develop your potential for success. You may be frustrated by a streak of bad luck but it is not sufficient justification for you to stop your efforts to improve your condition.

Saturn is Retrograde:

Something in you bridles against tradition, conventional wisdom and authority. You don't like to be told what to do. Evaluate when and where it is important to take on the establishment.

You can do some of your best work alone. Ironically, in your later years, you may
become a leader.

Saturn in Gemini:

Once you learn to express yourself clearly, you can get past your limits. It is your task to
acquire some educational discipline. You may have to pay some dues and deal with
awkwardness, clumsiness, shyness and self doubt. You've got some special qualities to your mind and if other sections in this reading give confirming signals, you can go very far once you become realistic and then overcome any communications difficulties you may have.

You are probably not the world's fastest thinker, however you are a deliberate, conscientious problem solver. Part of you is cool, rational, logical, and in possession of mental discipline. You can turn abstract ideas into practical reality.

Find an appropriate outlet for your doubts, criticism and suspicions. If necessary, write a letter to the editor or call a talk show. Cultivate more conversational skills and the ability to
give and take.

Saturn in 9th house:

You may be held back until you confront your fears of higher education. However it is
your duty to learn more. You can master new things. You may have to pay some dues and
build character by overcoming any academic inadequacies that you may have.

You are somewhat conservative and realistic in your belief systems. You like to consider yourself a responsible person. You have a point of view that may be mature beyond your years. You prefer complex thinking and if you concentrate, you can get your ideas across to others.

You need to find answers to questions and you like to do it on your own. You are
somewhat studious and do not take other people, places and things on face value. You
strive to uncover the real meaning of things. If you have lost your faith in life then you need
to move beyond superficial social values and religious dogma. Master new thinking. Build a
new framework for your beliefs. Work to create a stable philosophy of life.

You're trustworthy and dependable with legal affairs and you can prosper through work related travel. In other words, business trips pay off for you. Put some structure into your horizons.

Saturn Conjunct MC:

Discipline and ambition, that's you. It sounds simple and it is not easy. You can gain more power and status and security through the consistent application of hard work and ambition. In time, you can become a leader.

Jupiter Opposition Saturn:

You can gain more power and a big payoff through more long range planning and
preparation. Step back from a few of your battles with the world. Work to forge some
friendships and solidify some social alliances. Combat some stress with food supplements.

Saturn Opposition Neptune:

You are challenged to create your ideal working conditions. It will not necessarily be easy, and it can be rewarding. You need to make an extra effort to distinguish between
fantasy and reality. To get more power, work through any tendencies that you have toward
morbidity, fears, anxieties, neurosis, phobias, and inadequacies.

Saturn Trine Pluto:

You have some great organizational skills and will power. As you mature, you can
exhibit decisive wisdom.

In order for you to succeed it is crucial that you plan carefully and organize your resources. You can overcome many frustrating obstacles. You can push past many
hindrances and limitations. Once you can learn tolerance and simultaneously not accept
incompetence, your success is insured.

Saturn Trine True Node:

To gain more power, cultivate some of your natural affinity for the powers that be. You can get the approval and help that you need to achieve your professional goals.

Moon Square Saturn:

Sometimes you can indulge yourself with melancholia, depression, guilt and negativity. This can be tied to possible mother complexes. To the extent that your existence is bleak, you need to free yourself from the past and embrace the future. It is more true for you than most people, you are your own worst enemy and your own best friend.

Sun Quincunx Saturn:

Your self respect and self expression may be limited, especially due to childhood
problems associated with the father. The proper effort over the right amount of time will free you from hardship and drudgery. You have most assuredly learned from the school of hard knocks, now you can learn from the school of gentle caresses. You can gain more power and a big payoff by understanding that negative conditions are neither permanent nor
pervasive.

Career(Saturn)

Saturn Conjunct MC:

One way or another, you're going to deal with the power of hard work.

You can also advance to the top through displaying professionalism and expertise and
being competent, diligent and disciplined. You value tangible results and readily accept
responsibility.

Suitable work may include any position where you are the boss or are in charge. You
are also suited to be a professional, authority, or expert. Until you figure it out and get it together, you may well be overworked and underpaid.

Wow, Glaucus. That's a lot of Saturn to have.

Looks like you're making the best of it.

Edited to add: Before seeing your previous post, I was speculating whether you had Saturn trine Pluto, which would make you dwelve deep into the mysteries of Saturn. I also see that you have Saturn retrograde, which would make it also less strong than being full direct.

Also, Saturn conjunct MC and trine True Node are very good personal aspects to have.

One more thing Glaucus (yes, I sound like Columbo ,), since the strenght of Magi astrology in its understanding of Saturn is mostly in the area of relationship, since you are such a strong Saturnian type, can you share with us what has been your experience of relationsip with people with whom you have Saturn squares, opposition or quincunxes?

Saturn is strong regardless if it's retrograde or not...especially when involved in close aspects. It's the most elevated planet in my chart. It is the only planet in my southern hemisphere. Therefore,it's the handle of my bucket. To operate the energies in my chart, I use my Saturn. I feel Saturn all the time. It's works powerfully in my chart. Trust me. I am just not a control freak.

I have Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio too as well as Pluto in 1st.

Saturn is more than just control. It can also be self control too. Self control can keep a person from controlling others. Self discipline can be a good thing. I don't smoke, drink, nor use drugs. I don't even sleep around. I am not into partying and going out a lot. I don't believe in things easily. I can be skeptical about stuff. I will look into stuff before I believe in it. I was skeptical of Astrology until 1998 at the age of almost 32 years old. I don't believe in Indigo Child generation stuff because I believe that it's fluffy New Age propaganda in regards to neurodivergent types(AD/HD,Autism,Dyslexia,Dyspraxia,and Aspergers). I am Dyslexic,Dyspraxic with history of special education myself, and I was diagnosed as inattentive type ADHD at the age of 32 yrs old. Another thing, the characteristics of Indigo Child are pretty much outerplanet energy characteristics. I can definitely relate to that stuff with my Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio along with my Moon in Pisces square Neptune as well as aspects involving Kuiper Belt Objects(transneptunians like Pluto) that include Moon square Varuna,Moon trine Quaoar,Moon sextile Sedna,Sun-Ixion cazimi,Moon trine Ixion,Eris sextile Midheaven,EL61 conjunct Ascendant,EL61 square Midheaven, and Mercury square FY9. I have an unaspected Uranus, and so no energy interferes with it. It operates with freedom. I was an atheist for 2 years. Most of my life, I have believed in God. I don't believe in organized religion now. I am a bit of a loner. I am a bit of maverick. I have Chiron in Aries in 8th sextile Midheaven and North Node in Aquarius in 4th,trine Jupiter in Sagittarius in 3rd,and semisquare Mars in Aquarius. I also read about Ixion being a renegade. I have Sun conjunct the Kuiper Belt Object plutino, Ixion with 4 minutes of arc. I also have Sun conj true Black Moon Lilith with 22 minutes of arc. I read about Lilith being a nonconformist.

I guess, I also have Saturn as the handle of my bucket, since it`s the only planet on the western hemisphere of my horoscope.
Interestingly, I always thought there was only very little Saturn inside of me, but around the time of the first Saturn-return I realized, that Saturn is actually a very important planet in my chart´and life.

For me Saturn has something to do with control.
But in my case there`s a feeling of "not suffice", which makes me work even harder (so I can "suffice" one day). And this low selfconfidence (in some regards, not in all)makes me need more security than many people I know. And since I need security, control has become an issue to me, as a way to achieve security.
So, yes, in my case, Saturn has something to do with control; but I`m not controlling because I want to control others; I need to have the feeling I am in control, so I can feel safe.
Well, during the last year I finally realized, that I can`t control anything, and that one of the lessons I have to learn is to let go, no matter how hard it is, and to understand, that there are no guarantees and no absolute safety and security.
That`s my retograde Saturn in cancer in the 8th house. Very challenging indeed, but precious.

Here are the centaurs that includes Chiron.

Centaurs: Cosmic High Horses

Centaurs are a unique group of bodies more or less part of the Kuiper Belt, a region of icy dust and asteroid-like bodies near the edge of our solar system. There may be hundreds of thousands of Kuiper Belt Objects. A smaller subset of this collection, Centaurs, by definition, must possess a perihelion distance greater than that of Jupiter and a semi-major axis that does not exceed Pluto's aphelion distance from the Sun (originally defined as a semi-major axis less than that of Neptune, but ignored as definition of the bodies continued).

Chiron: The wounded healer who possesses insight, wisdom and grace. Orbital Period: 50.27 yr.

Positive - healing, just, wise, fair, insightful, knowledgeable, skilled in arts, medicine, healing, philosophy, focused, positively full of one’s self, sense of soul’s purpose

Negative - opinionated, teaching others the lessons needed by oneself, wounding, corrupt, illicit, irritating demeanor, clinging, feeling homely or unwanted, estranged from parents

Mundane - healing of all types from allopathic medicine and surgery to chiropractic and all forms of homeopathy and naturopathy, soul retrieval, justice, mentoring programs, cave exploration, illegitimate offspring, archery

Ceremonial - soul retrieval, any natural healing modality, chiropractors, retreats - especially in caves, ceremonial chambers or kivas, making a talking stick or ceremonial arrow

Pholus: Keeper of the sacred wine and host to Hercules. Orbital Period: 91.95 yr.

Positive - just, wise, nurturing, meeting the needs of others while keeping own needs in balance, conscious of choice, ceremonial, pacifism, self nurturing, attentive

Negative - opinionated believing rules of cosmic forces do not apply to oneself, addicted to food or alcohol, careless regarding weaponry (or security tools), ignoring spiritual needs, indulgent, reclusive, meddling

Mundane - food and drink - especially regarding celebrations, daily ceremony and ritual

Ceremonial - toasting, blessings and grace, celebrations, creating a daily hour of power

Nessus: Ferryman at the River Evenus. Orbital Period: 120.76 yr.

Positive - generous, benevolent, compassionate, willing to lend a helping hand, cooperative, respectful of boundaries, aware of the power of life force energy, healthy use of sexual energy

Negative - coveting, possessive, jealous, vengeful, manipulative, resorting to negative alchemy for personal gain, negative use of sexual energy

Mundane - bad blood between parties, feuds over money especially regarding relationship dissolution, diseases transmitted by blood, transport ferries over water, potions, tonics and elixirs designed to cast spells, therapy specifically designed for healing sexual or monetary issues

Ceremonial - prosperity ceremonies, sexual healing rituals, ceremonies involving Earth fertility

Asbolus: An intuitive Auger. Orbital Period: 75.78 yr.

I don't agree that hard Venus aspects mean dislike or lack of attraction.

Do you mean, Venus might make you "like" or be "attracted" to someone even though you have a hard Aspect? Could that like or attraction also extend into a healthy long-term situation? I've noticed that some truly happy couples have crazy Synastry, so I wonder.

PS: I think a couple, one with Moon in Libra, one Moon in Pisces WOULD understand each other on an emotional level. Very much so. Moon in Leo/Moon in Pisces not so bad either.

We usually think we need a soulmate because we don't feel whole. In truth, the soul needs no mate, but our inner wound doesn't think so. Chiron represents the illusion.

Have you ever loved someone romantically and then stop because your Chiron represents the illusion? It's true, we end up having to heal ourselves, and sometimes after a lot of pain, and sometimes not.

I believe hard Venus aspects in synastry can indicate attraction. Because of my studies of cosmobiology which only use hard aspects including conjunction and no easy aspects, I don't see hard aspects in synastry as necessarily bad. I definitely believe that hard Venus aspects can be attraction aspects including hard Sun-Venus,Moon-Venus,MC-Venus,Asc-Venus Venus-Mars,Venus-Jupiter aspects. However,I think that hard Venus-Saturn Aspects can be a bit cold. I don't like to see hard Venus-Uranus because of the erratic nature. I don't like to see Venus and outerplanets in hard aspect.

I wouldn't feel comfortable with a libra moon nor a leo moon. I want somebody with great emotional depth. I want somebody that is very sensitive to my feelings. I have that with my scorpio moon girlfriend. Our Moons trine less than 2 degree orb too. I feel that compatible moons are important in synastry. She and I are very sensitive to each other's feelings. We feel very comfortable and natural with each other. I feel that is more so than Sun. Btw..our suns are in quincunx signs, but they aren't in quincunx aspect. Actually they are triseptile less than 1 degree. Our Mercuries are in quincunx signs, but they biquintile less than 1 degree. I don't like when some astrologers use wide orbs for aspects because then they run into minor aspects. I feel that minor aspects are very underrated. I don't think minor aspects are all that minor but require smaller orbs. Her Sun and Mercury is are in Aries, and my Sun and Mercury are in Scorpio. Our Suns and mercuries are in each other's 8th house. We communicate quite well and profoundly affect each other. I think that mutual synastry house placement makes up for quincunx Suns and Mercuries. The ascendant oppose ascendant with only 16 minute of arc is very strong connection. Her Scorpio Moon conjunct my Scorpio Sun is too. She and I have a lot in common overall in regards morals, ethics, things we like, etc. That helps too.

Wow, a Triseptile?

Here's a good list of the lesser known astrological symbols and glyphs

Yep..a triseptile. It's a 7th harmonic. It's 3/7 of a circle.
I made a mistake about our Mercuries. They biquintile less than 2 degree.

From what I read in HOROSCOPE SYMBOLS by Robert Hand,

The Seven-Series---Septile,Biseptile,Triseptile,Semiseptile
is a Uranus-Neptune flavor, energy linkings not entirely of this world. Creative inspiration

Her Sun actually forms a 7th harmonic pattern to my Sun and Ascendant.

My Sun is septile Ascendant with 28 minutes of arc,and her Sun triseptiles my Sun with 23 minutes of arc and triseptiles my Ascendant with 4 minutes of arc.

That also means that her Sun opposes my Sun/Ascendant midpoint with 10 minutes of arc which is a relationship, partnership in Cosmobiology,Uranian Astrology.

AS.SU*
+ vibrant. vivacious. energetic. indefatigable. alert. productive. fertile. athletic. healthy.
The husband as a partner. One another. Personal interaction. Immediate physical environs. To make acquaintances. Contact with a man. Relationship to a person. On this day at this place. A partnership in this year.
- forceful.

interpretation from Ruth Brummond's rulebook

Other 7th harmonic aspects we have are:

My Moon septile her Mars - '52
Her Mercury septile my Saturn - '15
Her Venus triseptile my Jupiter - '50
My Venus triseptile her Mars - '36

Glaucus -

Thanks for breaking it down perfectly. And thanks for giving firsthand observations of how some of these lesser known Aspects are placed. There is SOMETHING to this Harmonic thing, but I haven't found a way to merge the thinking with astrology, although I believe the Harmonics support western astrology, somehow.

But thanks. I didn't even know so many of those symbols and glyphs existed! Being able to put them into smaller "steps" or "groups" would help to understand how it goes.

Does any one have access to the Magi software? Is it worth having?

I know it isn't on the topic of magi astrology but I noticed that both Glaucus and Darkdreamer have saturn as the handle of their "bucket". I believe I have exactly the same thing. I can really relate to the need to take responsibility, etc.

I got the software. I think you can use free astro123 from astro123.com. The result is the same.
