I am amazed at the longevity of this topic. The results of the survey are posted here and also in the original message board. I'll continue to keep a tally of results if there are more people still willing to add their names to the list (please post in the original board). Here are the newest results for this ongoing survey of Sun/Moon/Asc Signs: Sun sign prevalence: Aries: 9.1% Taurus: 12.1% (High) Gemini: 6.05% Cancer 8.1% Leo 6.05% Virgo 8.1% Libra 11.1% Scorpio: 11.1% Sagittarius: 6.05% Capricorn: 6.05% Aquarius: 5.05% (low) Pisces: 11.1% Trend compared to last: Libra loses it's position as the most prevalent sun sign and drops to second place. Taurus is now the most prevalent sun sign!! Aquarius, remains the least prevalent. Moon sign prevalence: Aries: 9.1% Taurus: 8.1% Gemini: 9.1% Cancer 8.1% Leo 8.1% Virgo 6.05% Libra 5.05% (low) Scorpio: 7.07% Sagittarius: 11.1% Capricorn: 6.05% Aquarius: 12.1% (High) Pisces: 10.1% Trend compared to last: Aquarius retains it's position as the most prevalent moon sign. Taurus becomes average whilst Libra is now the least prevalent. Ascendant prevalence: Aries: 7.07% Taurus: 5.05% Gemini: 9.1% Cancer 6.05% Leo 12.1% Virgo 13.1% (High) Libra 11.1% Scorpio: 10.1% Sagittarius: 7.07% Capricorn: 11.1% Aquarius: 5.05% Pisces: 3.03% (low) Trend compared to last: Virgo retains it's position as the most prevalent ascendant sign. Taurus becomes low average. Pisces becomes the least prevalent ascendant. Sun: Tau > Lib, Sco, Pis > Ari > Can, Vir > Gem, Leo, Sag, Cap > Aqu Moon: Aqu > Sag > Pis > Ari, Gem > Tau, Can, Leo > Sco > Virg, Cap > Lib Asc: Vir > Leo > Lib, Cap > Sco > Gem > Ari, Sag > Can > Tau, Aqu > Pis Overall regardless of whether in Sun, Moon or Asc: Sco > Vir, Lib > Leo > Cap, Aqu > Ari, Tau > Gem, Sag, Pis > Cap > Can, Aqu Last tally: 72 responses This tally: 99 responses When compared to last tally, interestingly • Aquarius and Virgo have remained the dominant Moon and Ascendant signs respectively. • Only Libra has lost it's place as dominant Sun sign, and is replaced by Taurus! Most prevalent Planet in sign/asc: 1. Ascendant in Virgo (13.1%) [Same as last time] 2. Sun in Taurus (12.1%) 3. Moon in Aquarius (12.5%) [Same as last time] 4. Ascendant in Leo (12.5%) Least prevalent Planet in sign/asc: 1. Ascendant in Pisces (3.03%) 2 Sun in Aquarius (5.05%) [Same as last time] 3. Moon in Libra (5.05%) 4. Ascendant in Taurus (5.05%) 5. Ascendant in Aquarius (5.05%) Average age this tally: 28.5 (from all those who gave their age) Average age last tally: 28.7 Any comments/interpretations on these results is welcome. Hi, This is a very good effort but we should analyze more practical stuff. For example, 1. Those who have done outstandingly well in Algebra, Geometry and conceptual mathematics, list all your planets. 2. Those who have consistently failed in mathematics, list all your planets. 3. Those who have a photographic memory 4. Those who would have more than 6 children if rich. 5. Those who dont want to have a child even if very wealthy. 6. Those who tried to have children but could not. 7. Those who love to teach anybody any subject 8. Those who dislike all celebrities 9. Those who absolutely hate sweets 10. Those who fear joblessness more than a robbery or accident. etc. By studying the extreme cases, we can get the best grasp of aspects and planets in the certain sign or house. In my research: All Mercury in Gemini who did not have a square aspect hitting the Ascendant, Sun or Mercury, are chatterboxes. Verbal or email or chat or on the phone, they are chatterboxes. Almost all unafflicted Libra rising women are beautiful. Almost all unafflicted Libran Suns, Moons or Ascendants have a dimple. Almost all women with natal Mars square Uranus have a hysterectomy when 40+ Almost all women with Sun conj Mars in 19 Scorpio squared by Uranus have a hysterectomy when 30+ Most occasions when Sun or Mars conjunct/square Neptune and Moon gets afflicted, there is a notable ocean/water accident with plenty of deaths. Most occasions when Sun or Mars conjunct or Square Uranus and Moon gets afflicted, there are fire accidents with plenty of deaths. Mars conjunct/square Uranus and square True Node almost always produces a major fire with some deaths. Mars or True Node conjunct/square Neptune almost always produces a major oil fire, with some deaths if Moon afflicts Mars or True Node in addition. etc. IP: Logged |

Some more interesting insights:From Carl Tobey's own life: "...Some progressed aspects would be of very long duration, and would not apply for a specific event to occur on a certain day. When the writer was a child, progressed Mars moved over his natal Sun, and that interval was certainly accompanied by a couple of years when he was always getting hurt through falls, etc. There was no other similar period in his life. The opposition of progressed Mercury to Uranus in his chart coincided with his editorship of the Long Beach (N.Y.) Sun, as a youngster, which resulted in a spectacular editorial campaign against political corruption in Nassau County, which in turn lead to a state investigation being ordered by Governor Alfred E. Smith, and this ultimately led to conviction of many public officials and the end of a political regime. You will realize that many enemies resulted. Immediately thereafter, Mercury crossed the writer's 7th natal cusp, and he was married for the first time, while visiting in Palm Beach. When progressed Mercury reached the conjunction of Neptune in his chart, he began writing for astrology magazines. During the years when progressed Mars was squaring his Jupiter, he went through a period of terrific gambling losses. In fact, almost anything he did businesswise lost money, but fortunately he was very young. He was coming out of his teens. Things were more than tough when the progressed ascendent reached natal Saturn. When the progressed ascendent reached natal Jupiter he moved from New York to Arizona and began a new era. " Though the above dealt with progressions, they might very well work with normal transits. Thus, Transit Jupiter conj Ascendant can inspire new beginnnings, Transit Mars sq Jupiter or vice versa are wrong times for risk and so on.

Hi Peri! Yes, just copy the Astro.com listing to save time. Using the analytical approach, I would say that your Libra and Virgo [Venus and Mercury] are afflicted or not aspected, and Moon/Cancer/2nd or 4th House is blessed. If the basic analysis is wrong, what did cause weakness in maths should be discovered, and then retested on all others in the same boat. A small sample of 6-10 cases is sufficient for our experiment IP: Logged |

Mercury sq Saturn and Venus sq by Ascendant. The apriori analysis for mathematical difficulty holds!Moon conjunct Neptune possible cause for Photographic Memory. Next step is to check Ana's chart for a similar benefic to the Moon. IP: Logged |

Ana has Jupiter Mars in trine i.e luck should be aplenty in life.Moon is well placed. It is trined by Mars. albeit moderately. There is a slight square aspect from the Sun. Best part is that the Moon is in the same sign that is blessed the most in the chart [Aquarius.] However, more than memory, I would have guessed inner intelligence to be powerful. Meanwhile, I have a photographic memory PLUS am a superhero in conceptual mathematics. I have Moon sq by Sun but Moon conj Pluto in Libra, the sign that rules mathematical design. Mercury is also well placed in Gemini, almost conjunct Jupiter. Tomorrow, I must have a look at the secondary ascendants. I think we have found the basic keys to math and memory IP: Logged |

Uhm... actually it's about a whole secondary chart. Iqhunk told us about it http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/011171.html Very interesting stuff! But to cut it short and answer your question, you can find it progressing your Ascendant by the number of degrees that sepparates it from the Sun (clockwise if your Sun is below and anti-clockwise if it's above the Asc/Desc axis). Uhmmm... yeah... I think I got it right... IP: Logged |
