Never forget, these people are full of two things they'll never admit to you: hope and fear.

Just smile at them once in a while, if you have the chance.

At least, that's how I see it.

Thanks for all the input...

Hubby gets depressed and everybody just stays away from him for the time being... then he snaps out of it and his Saggi humour and attitude shines through. It's not a problem for me per se but it is rather difficult on my two teenagers who just look at me and say "What the hell is wrong with him now?"

Sometimes I think I fell in love with my hubby because he resembles my mother - with attitude and all. Except that it's a bit better since I can actually tell him to p*ss off when he gets into this mood. I swear that sometimes, he should be the female in the house with major PMS.

Oh well... so life goes on...

My parter is Gem sun, Sco moon and Cap AC and he is more optimistic than me - Aqu sun, Lib moon and Aries Asc. That said, my sun is opp saturn which makes me pessimistic. But I guess he does tend to brood and is very sober in judgment, unlikes me.

However, I have a cap friend and she was quite dark at times, shes lightened up recently, I think she's prog to Aqu sun now though.

Everyone should be loved, even if he/she is "negative".
The other thing is, that every person is not what others think about him/her. If others think, your husband is negative, it doesn't mean he is negative.
I have Capricorn Moon in the 4th house and i am not negative. I am wonderful

Jan_A,

Oh... please don't get me wrong... I do love him. I posted this to try and get a better understanding of why he can get into such a slump sometimes. It doesn't mean I don't love him but I really don't like him when he's in one of those moods.

I guess I was hoping to find ways to help him get out of the slump faster, so that it will be easier on all of us (not just me).

Knowing that it's the Capricorn influence that might cause it, I can then find ways to soothe him... for example: Capricorns is an earth sign and correct me if I am wrong but they like stability. One of the ways I found that I can get him out of the slump is showing him that we have built a solid foundation (family, monetary) through the 12 years that we are together. This seem to work but I have to keep finding out other ways or I will sound like a broken record.

Thanks for your concern,

Miss Muffet

Miss Muffet,

Usually Capricorn sun/moon/asc would make the person quite solitary when upset or depressed. If he shuts out or takes time to himself, just leave him alone for a while and he'll work through it himself.

I don't think trying to get him out of the slump 'faster' will work too well, only because Cap isn't a very 'fast' sign. I was saying on another thread that patience is a must with Cap mooners (but it could ring true for Asc also).

Thanks Lauren,

I will keep that in mind. It's just hard on everyone around him... argghh! And I am not the most patient person with both Sun and Saturn in Aries.

Another cappy survivor here!!! (no offence, you lovely goats!)

My ex was a double cappy (sun and moon). I did and still do find him very difficult to deal with. He's gloomy, morose and takes everything very seriously indeed. He seems very prone to depression, bless him. He also has a problem with bottling his emotions up and releasing them in the worst possible way - and is surprisingly prone to aggression (aries rising maybe?).

but....

...that's not to say all caps are like this. My friend is a cap with either a cancer or a leo moon and although she has a serious, business-like attitude at work, outside of that she's witty, fun and always game for a laugh!

I think it has a lot to do with their ruling planet. Remember the lesson of saturn - learning through limitations, duty and responsibility. As a cap ages, the burden seems to lift. Didn't Linda say in one of her books that elder caps are some of the most youthful and sprightly folk around?! It seems as though serious saturn's lesson for them is, to not take life too seriously in the end!!! This certainly seems to be the case with most of the older caps I know - my ex's dad being an example. He's settling into his age with a far more relaxed attitude!

Caps are sweeties really, underneath it all, but they find it hard to trust so be positive, honest and reliable and you'll get to see their fun side!!!

Yes, we do lighten up with age.

(I'm feeling particularly thankful for my Gemini Ascendant at the moment after reading these horror stories. Perhaps I ought to be glad not to be a full-blooded Cap! )

Yes, Capricorn Moon men do seem to be the sexiest!

I have that "dreaded" water sun cap moon combo that someone above stated. I am a "moody ***** " at times but Im also one of the most sensitive., sweet, helpful and responsible people around.

Take the good with the "bad"!!!
