Belage - yeah its tough alright! I still love my mum though, there's some great things about her, great sense of humour, (unnecessarily) self-sacrificing and generous but too smothering as well. I just can't deal with or match the intensity.

really?
I'm more smothering than My mom and I am not a scorpio. I am a lunar scorpio though, with lots of oppositions from taurus to my pluto in scorpio.
I see that only scorpios and the scorpio influenced truly understand each other, which is also true for other signs. You don't really know unless you have it yourself.

You're right. I just don't get it. My partner is a lunar sco and I don't really find him in my face really. I suppose he's intense when I think of it but it doesn't affect me, probably because my sun and his moon are too far apart to square compared with my mum's and my sun which are squaring!

Problem with my mum is that she is a very generous but kind expects to win people over because she is very generous (and in that way very controlling), she kind of expects loyalty to death, which is more extreme than even an Aqu or Leo can give. She also requires you to tell her everything that is happening in her life and the chastises you but sometimes won't give much of her life before me away. I suppose its that secrecy thing they have. I have seen in it in other sco-influenced people where your relationship with them ends up being some extraction game; you have to give up everything you know and when you ask them something about themselves, they won't give you an inch, refuse to answer the question - I happen to find that a bit offensive because I"m so open and have nothing to hide.

23,

My mom sounds a lot like your mom. My mom has Sun/Venus/Jupiter/Neptune in Scorpio. Being a Sag, I like things to be out in the open. It used to bother me that nothing would move mom to reveal her past. I would pester her as a child, wanting to know my family history and such. Sometimes, she'd give me a few tid bits of information. Usually, she'd just smile or change the subject. It took her 22 years to tell me about my birth father. When she finally did, I asked her if that was so difficult. She didn't answer, but I was glad it was finally out in the open. After that day, I never asked again. I am glad she finally got it off her chest, and I received (some) answers.

I love mom and now that I am older, I think I have an idea of where she is comign from. She has a hard time letting go of her children, and smothers my siblings and I with the way she holds on. I was always the independent one, and I now see she would try to hold on because I am her daugtehr. She is loyal and wishes to take care of those she loves, in her way.

I liked how you added "in her way", regardless of the cost to others

I suppose for me, I give her the benefit of the doubt in that I am her only child though, so naturally, things will be much more focused on me than if I had another sibling.

I'm not sure what you mean by turned cookoo. My guess would be that he put up "the wall." This is something I'll do if I am really hurt or scared or something. I will act polite and cordial but I keep things on a surface level only. If someone hurts me deep enough, they will only ever see surface again. It must be something serious though as I've only ever done this with a handful of people in my life. Have you asked him why?

Scorpio's aren't crazy unless you **** them off...lol. I know Scorpio's have the reputation of being the scariest sign of the zodiac, but if that's the case, then why are so many of them terrified of me particularly when I'm angry? I'm only a Gemini! You'd think they'd be used to intensity...

LoL@ Aqua and Scorp in an anarchist pact. I can see that.

Scorps are very easy to understand. You have to read between the lines with them and pay attention to what they DON'T say.

I haven't had the best experience with them, but then again, the one's I've known were all friends with one another - ya know, birds of a feather flock together... In addition, these "people" really embraced the darker and evil side of scorpio. They would verbally say how they were "evil," and that "we're all scorpios," so I don't think they are the best representative of the sign.

I could always see right through them, so I don't understand the mystery they are noted for.

Sometimes I think Scorps try to exude the characteristics of their sign. I think a lot of other signs do this as well.

If a scorpio didn't know they were a Scorpio would they act like a scorpio?

It's a great site, Gypsy, lots of info:
http://www.scorpiosite69.freeserve.co.uk/

I like the "introverted Leos" thing, aqua inferno. But I would not say "just introverted Leos". Introvert a Leo and you got the kind of pressure that turns coal to diamonds, and diamonds to spiritfire.

I'm a Scorpio and I loooove Aquarians. My two best friends are Aquas. But I've got a lot of Aqua/Uranus in my chart, too. And my two best friends have, respectively, a Scorpio Ascendant and an 8th house Sun. As always, you've got to take the whole chart into account.

In Synastry, Sun square Sun is said to be a common indicator of intense love affairs. Whenever the big 3 (sun, moon, ascendant) are aspecting each other, it is potentially a good thing. Challenging aspects between these planets/points are better than no aspects. In fact, thats a general rule in synastry - many aspects mean the people are drawn to interact (i.e. to relate; i.e. to be in a relationship) on many levels.

Scorpios are defintely misunderstood, big time. You'll understand them better when you're old, dying in your bed, and finally learning to be silent, to take life in, to appreciate intimacy and subtle energies, and not to run your big mouth about every pointless, frivolous, petty, and all-too-obvious thing that pops into your head.

To the original creator of this thread, x... what happened? I'm curious...

As a scorpio, I feel like we are the least nuts and the most logical, and everyone else is crazy... Then again.. I bet everyone thinks theyre own sign is awesome!

I love scorpios.

They are emotional, passionate, empathetic.

They get me, and I'm a reserved cold capricorn -- they see right through that facade -- scorpios are the best!

That is an exceptionally awkward and over-done signature MCM.

I wonder- what is the significance of it to you?

About that group of Scorps claiming to be evil...if they have to tell everyone they're evil then they're not that evil. They're just trying to embrace their dark side.

In my experience, the Scorps you need to watch out for are all smiles, gabbing all the time and very outgoing. You never know which direction they're going to come at you from.

It wasn't until I was reading this thread that I realized I've had quite a few Aquas try to "capture" me. I only liked them as friends. Most seemed to be out there in left field at times. I didn't follow.

The one sign I've always been burned by is Gemini. Sorry, but you all get on the bottom of my s**t list.

It doesn't have any significance to me. It just kind of 'happened' you know. I must admit the symbolism of it could be the represention of a long cloak of admiration (recieved unprompted from others) that i as a Moon in Leo person wear.

If i can perhaps start off a cloak for you, i think you must be one special catch being that you are a female Scorpio with Moon in Leo, and Sagittarius rising.
If i was 'building' a woman at home (and time-allowing someday i will) she'd have a very similar make-up to yourself.

Why, thank you. I'm flattered ...
They do make a fantabulous combination, I must say
