So, homely may not mean something negative.

I wouldn't trust that Librarising.com for sh***. It's very subjective.

This will sound controversial, but I've noticed that beauty correlates with the Moon.

I've noticed that more people with Moon in the following signs are considered attractive generally; Pisces, Taurus, Gemini, Virgo,Libra, Capricorn and Aquarius.

Not to say that the other positions are "ugly" because, as I said, this is more with "quantity".

You are more likely to find more people with the above Moon signs being praised for their beauty than the others.

"Sexiest" list usually has more people with the above moon signs than the others.

Moon in Cancer has an enigma.
Moon in Scorpio/Aries has daring
Moon in Leo/Sagittarius has vivacity

But I think with the above Moon positions, there is a conscious need to be taken seriously(and it translates to their physical looks).

The former mentioned don't mind being packaged as "sex symbols" or the like. And many even welcome it.

I agree that the Moon plays a role in physical beauty.

Yes, I agree with you. Because of the qualities associated with being homely: nurturing, protective, loyal, loving. But in our society, those who come across as "homely" may not succeed as much socially at times. With a Cancer ascendant sometimes I think I blend in so much that I am unnoticeable. But there are positives and negatives to each ascendant.

Cancer is probably the least recognizable rising sign because it can easily be modified by the planets in the chart. You can get someone who looks quite sharp like Angelina Jolie or someone who's classically handsome such as Mark Walberg.

I don't think we encounter many Cancer rising people because there's really nothing signature about that rising sign, but that does not mean it's a "homely" rising sign.

To me, most of the super models don't usually look very pretty, many just have ordinary-looking face, but they do have fanastic body shape, very tall....... I guess it just proves beauty is the eyes of beholders...
