So, would you say about an Eros-Pluto aspect in synastry? Would it be like a Venus-Pluto aspect, only perhaps a little less overall impact but a bit more erotic?

Yes, I have sex on my mind. Blame neptune5 and sue g. I need to stay away from them - they're a bad, bad influence....

www.falconastrology.com by kim falconer......( i purchased an eros combatibility reading....AMAZING!!!!!!

Pluto in Synastry Aspect to Eros

"A" persons Eros sextile "B" persons Pluto

...dark is the path appointed to thee:
The dead watch the road that leads to the Sea.
--J.R.R. Tolkien

When the god of love meets the god of death, something usually has to give way.
Pluto wants to take things to the edge, to experience a sense of life by getting as close
as possible to its opposite, death. Eros responds to this urge with a deep need to melt
into one the feelings of love, passion, danger, risk, annihilation and transformation.

These two symbols go a long way to describe obsessive and explosive unions that
burn the original nature of the couple down to a fine powder letting what remains
emerge in a new form.

When two people get together with this combination, they often sense that something
profoundly deep is at work. They may feel that they are fated to be together, or
conversely, fated to meet yet not be able to live out the relationship in an ordinary
way. It can feel like a tremendous power is brewing under the surface to which the
couple is aware yet has no control over. These relationships can feel like a picnic on
top of an active volcano. Any minute, things could erupt!

Often with this contact, the individuals involved are willing to risk a great deal to
experience each other. The mystery and intrigue of a taboo encounter lies in wait just
beneath the surface of this raw and compelling attraction. Sometimes the more
‘wrong’ it is in a social or moral sense, the more ‘right’ and imperative it feels
emotionally.

Pluto and Eros both are familiar with the dramatic and when combined in synastry the
highs and lows of an ongoing rapport can take on a proportion much greater than the
situation seems to require. Emotions rage and feeling go over the top as drama
unfolds around something relatively trivial like burnt rice or missed appointments.
The magnitude of these encounters can be overwhelming, as is their capacity to
transform, rejuvenate or destroy.
With the potency of both Eros and Pluto linked, issues of power are never far off.

Couples may experience incredible passion and intimacy when Pluto is in the
equation yet they often draw equally strong undercurrent themes around control,
authority, possession and demand. The attraction is magnetic. The couple may feel
overwhelmingly compelled to unite although after time, or under different
circumstances, they may be just as likely to experience repulsion or the desire to
destroy each other. The powers of Pluto can be like warming a cup of tea with a
nuclear explosion: the tea gets hot, but what happens to the cup in the process? The
world?

----------------
Eros in the Synastry Twelfth House

"B" Persons Eros conjunct "A" Persons Ascendant / 12th house

In the confusion we stay
with each other,
happy to be together,
speaking without
uttering a single word.
-- Walt Whitman

When Eros stimulates the twelfth house by synastry comparison, mystery abounds,
dreams unfold and a feeling of other worldliness prevails. Often there is great
confusion of emotions, misinterpretations and submergence into the depths of our
greatest longings and sharpest fears.

The desire to merge floods us and with it the fear of separation and abandonment also.
Eros here may be idealized as a kind of savior, instantly making us out to be the one
in need of rescue. Depending on the nature of the twelfth house, this contact can bring
up issues that force the couple to deal with these themes in new and creative ways.

Eros here can initiate a search that results in a greater spiritual development and self
understanding.
Any planet activating the twelfth house can stimulate the unconscious to live out
whatever unexpressed material resides there. This can be like lighting a handful of
dynamite as previously dormant and unacknowledged material explodes to the
surface. Through the erotic intimacy and union of the couple, buried issues can be
explored, although sometimes the material is too raw and too urgent to be contained
by the relationship that provoked it. In this case, the couple will not be able to be
together without great difficulty or great awareness.

The stimulation of the twelfth house can also provoke the desire to serve, support and
assist the Eros person in some way. The scenario of sacrificing our own needs for
those touching the twelfth house is common and with Eros here it can complicate the
union extremely. Again the balance tips and one person becomes the master and the
other the slave. Either unwittingly or with conscious consent, this arrangement rarely
results in healthy psychic development. When balanced, however, Eros here is like an
audience with the god. Eros in the Twelfth unites the couple in an unconscious dance of mystery, longing and
the hope of fulfillment. The discoveries made with this contact may go a very long
way towards that fulfillment and towards the integration of the hidden into the whole.

I'm not sure of what orbs she uses on her readings of Eros, but for our synastry it was:

sextile- 4 degrees

his eros conj my asc-3 degrees
my eros conj his asc-1 degree

we have many Eros aspects together and I thought her reading was a real eye opener. Highly recommended.

I want to get the Eros natal report next payday. I'm feeling narcissistic and I want someone to tell me I'm hot. Sun cj eros, baby!!!!

Silliness aside, I think it'd be very eye-opening. I like her stuff - I just wish there was more free stuff on her site.

Eros is VERY sexual, as in, it rules the sex act itself, infusing it with sheer magic. So any personal planet or a calculated point, especially if it's Venus, Mars, Moon, or Sun, or the ASC or the Vertex can be very erotic between people.

Chiron and Eros and Juno and Eros contacts can be incredibly steamy as well.

Any contact with these planets and Eros in the natal chart can mark out someone who's very sexual as well.

Thank you for bumping this thread.

The man who is very much on my mind right now, actually has some Eros-synastry with me.

His Eros exactly conjuncts my Venus and also squares my Pluto and MC.
And my Eros exactly sextiles his Pluto.
And there`s a Grand Trine of my Eros / Vertex-conjunction to his Chiron / Saturn and his Neptune.

So, I guess this thread is significant for me.

The only guy I ever truly loved has sun/asc/merc/eros/psyche in pisces. I have sun/venus/psyche in pisces.
My eros is in scorpio EXACTLY conjunct his pluto.

Not a big fan of asteroids, there's too much going on in our natals/synastry/composite as it is. For a while there I got carried away with asteroids though cos ye gods we have some insane connections, especially karma.....

Never read the description of eros conjunct pluto, it REALLY seemed to hit the nail on the head though!

i am so confused cuz in the aspect list tables, astro.com only gives two aspects between us for eros: mine conjunct his neptune (2 degrees) and his trine my venus (exact). we also have his pluto sextile mine by 4, but i guess it doesn't count? maybe the orb is too big or the sextile doesn't count?

would kim falconer's report include the wider orbs and sextiles, do you think? cuz i'm interested in it myself, but not if it's only for 2 aspects..

Jip, Kim definitely uses wider orbs with Eros than 2°. At least I got the impression on her forum.

Would you count parallels and contraparallels with eros & pluto?
or with other planets in general?

A conjunction would feel much stronger than a sextile, definitely.

I`m not yet sure who feels what, but thinking of the myth it appears that Eros is stronger than even the God of the Underworld.
It`s said that Pluto never wanted to fall in love, but was content being alone in his underworld, but then Eros shot an arrow on Pluto and Pluto fell desperately in love with Persephone.
His desire for her was so intense, that he took desperate and even criminal measures to get her; he simply kidnapped her and brought her to the underworld; some analysts of the myth say, he even raped her; others say that she gradually succumbed to the dark seduction of the lord of the underworld.
HOwever, it remains that it was Eros who started this thing; he was actually the only one who could break through Pluto`s chosen loneliness and trigger the urge to have a mate inside him.

I`m very interested in how this plays out synastrically, too, since I know someone whose Eros is closely opposing my Pluto.

Lara - There is a thread about the combinations on Eros/Psyche matches.

Each type of conju, square, trine etc has its own meaning. Even the combinations of trines can have different meanings.

Check it out:

Wow - Darkdreamer, I just read yr story on the Eros Pluto myth!!

I have Eros Oppo Pluto synastry, and now am wondering if it has anything to do with what I have experienced myself!

I was beginning to believe it may have something to do with Sun conj Eros.

Eros opp Pluto
Eros conj Sun
Venus conj Pluto
Venus conj Uranus......

......all synastry...

Eros Trine Pluto
This is a very powerful erotic connection where you are easily changed by the transforming nature of this great love! Your Sexual expression is easy and extremely profound and changes how you think and communicate. Your human vulnerabilities are easily accepted and become part of a power of eroticism. You both flow with the power of the love rather than will to power. You may take it for granted how easy this relationship flows, as it feels like a very strong aphrodisiac and touches you both on a very deep levels.
(thanks to astrocafe.starmate)
===========================================
Well Im not sure how to explain this w/o getting into details.. Hummm.. Well it got to the point that it became extremely inappropriate. So much that it scared both of us and we said what are we doing. So we started to distance ourselves. But just being in his presence the urges, are very hard to control. Just looking at him drives my crazzzzyyyy.... LOL... To be honest neither of us are each others "type". But I have never in my life wanted so one soooooo bad.... There's other aspect like this also. So not sure if its this one or just a mix of all of them, but WOW....
