InLoveWithLife unregistered	posted January 26, 2007 03:33 PM yeah,, cancer rising's can come across as all of that. when i was in my undergrad, not many people used to talk to me because i came to know they were 'scared' of me. and i used to try and look very dignified (read arrogant ) bcoz i felt rejected when they didnt talk to me. they wudnt even make eye contact! but if someone did talk to me, my natural friendliness wud take over. i know a guy who comes across exactly as this person u described. and i guessed him to be a scorpio. he always looks very suspicious. its like if i talk to him he is wondering 'wht does she want? why wont she leave me alone?' I got a Sun Sag, Moon Aqu and Aries rising, people often say i look crazy, a violent appearence. Cant see why Cancer rising should be a "Unfriendly" sign. I am a cap asc/scorpio sun and I feel I appear the way the orginal poster described. a cap asc is almost like having a double scorpio sun. my cap asc might as well be a scoprio asc, haha. if that makes sense. aries moon helps me to be socialable a lot. Back in the day, I was very cold, distant and was always suspicious of everyone and trusted no one. Chip? Try a massive, concrete block on my shoulder. That was when I was under the influence. My Pisces Moon is soooo into escapism. Now people see something totally different. A 180 if you will. Now, that's not to say I'm completely open and trust every person I meet. Let's get real. I am still a double Scorp and will always be somewhat suspicious and cautious, just not to the point of being paranoid. I think of that song that came out in the 60's...."Their coming to take me away. Hee hee". Maybe it's the Venus conj Asc being able to show itself, or the Pisces Moon without the rose colored glasses, aka alcohol/drugs, that's finally able to let it's guard down? That's anyones guess. My sweet Leo bf calls me "Miss Sweetness, Goodness and Light" which I have an extremely difficult time accepting. I'm still too into being mean and abusive to myself, but thankfully he sees something I don't and just keeps repeating it several times everyday to the point he wears me out and I give up. I do have Pluto squaring my ascendant and sun though, so that could be it. My friend used to joke that I look like I'm about to murder somebody lol. People used to have this tendency to find me culpable when I was purely innocent. They always thought I pulled off the pranks when a friend or someone else had done it and guys have thought I'm domineering! It's crazy because it's totally contrary to my nature! And teachers would call on me assuming I was up to something... Otherwise, people never find me approachable, some even apologise profusely for happening to have brushed my shoulder or touched me by accident. It's funny but it's pretty sad because I'm not as mercurial or combustible, or frigid or spiteful as they think. If anything, once in a while, I attract some annoying stalker whom I'm too polite to shake off. IP: Logged

I appear distant, aloof and...yeah,not all that friendly. However, when I smile I tend to attract a lot of people. Scorp risings can look very intimidating and some of them can be bullies. My stepfather has scorp rising and whenever we get into an argument, he glares at me and glare right back; I don't turn away and he backs down. Haha... IP: Logged
