Is anyone having a major uranus transit? If so, how is it effecting you? I'm studying the effects of uranus in transit and would love to have feedback. Thanks everyone.

Sounds like interesting research.

would uranus oppositions to my sun, merc and venus be considered a "major transit?"

Hi Thedividedsky, you have a very major period coming in your life. Uranus oppose sun suggest sudden changes in your environment, and with oppositions, these oftentimes involve other people challenging you in ways that make you take full responsibility for yourself. Expect sudden changes with men, employers, superior, also possibly health concerns with your heart or circulatory system.

Uranus oppose venus is an obvious giveaway. Other than problems with a lover or spouse, there could also be financial woes.

Uranus oppose mercury could involve accidents while traveling, problems with siblings, or even problems communicating.

This could be a very challenging time for you, but after the dust has settled, you will appreciate having cleaned the garbage out of your life and you'll be able to enjoys the treasures that are uncovered as a result.

Hope this helps.

some time ago I had a long period of Uranus opposing my natal Saturn. But I didn't experience any effects of it. Maybe only mentally/emotionally, but hard to tell how exactly.

Another major Uranus transit coming to an end now is Uranus conj natal Moon. So far it has showed itself only in sudden change of domicile (really really UNexpected).

At the same time it has been sextiling my MC, and again with no sudden changes of career...

Hi Marina,

Uranus and saturn are both outer planets, so their connection to each other would not affect you in the same way as one of these planets contacting a personal planet in your chart, as you obviously noted with your uranus/moon conjunction. The sextile for any planets contacting each other only proves valid if when the opportunity comes, you take it. Remember, sextiles present opportunities, not cut in stone changes. If you didn't notice anything, then you probably overlooked an opportunity or turned down an opportunity for change in some area of your life.

Hope this helps.

Hello.

I have Uranus in the 6th right now. It's 2 degrees away from my DC at 15 Pisces 12.

Since Uranus has been in my 6th, my work situation has been very erratic and difficult. Currently it's squaring my MC exact.

Uranus has been moving back and forth over my MC11*Pisces. This is it's 2nd time that's it's crossed my MC and it's about 2* into my 10th house right now. I believe that it's should cross my MC a total of 3 times.
The 1st time it conjuncted my MC and entered my 10th house I got a decent raise at work. The 2nd time (just very recently) I also got a raise, a huge one. But, there are such constant changes going on at work for me right now I'm not sure how much longer I will choose to be here despite the great $. I feel like doing something drastic or rebelling.
I have also met a lot of new people who are very inspiring to me. Perhaps one of them will present a not so distant future business opportunity for me. Something more heart based instead of mind based

tUranus conj nMoon caused some upheaval in my home situation, combined with tSaturn transiting my 5th house (love) & transiting my partners 8th house (other peoples money, namely mine...gah) tUranus has also spent some time squaring nMars, I'm not sure how that has affected me, however some of my 'actions' recently have been slightly off the wall.

Soon tUranus will oppose both my nUranus & nPluto, both residents of my 6th house. It will soon touch my nSun with a sextile aspect.

uranus squaring my natal sun
uranus trine natal saturn
uranus square natal uranus
uranus opposition AC
uranus square MC

all transit planets sun through neptune plus the NN and chiron are aspecting my natal uranus lol

nataly I have sun opposition uranus
moon trine uranus
and jupiter sextile uranus
Because of uranus aspecting both luminaries
I'm pretty sensitive to uranus transit lol

Astrolover....

So, Uranus' transit is long, very long. ~2003 - 2011. I have been going through many of the things you have listed since around that time, but then again, I am somewhat young, so it is as to be expected. however, I have had particular hardships with MANY runaway relationships, and money that somehow flies out of my hands into other peoples.

I have been grappling with the fact that I cant seem to communicate my thoughts and feelings when they are most important. It's a wierd feeling like I don't speak the language or something. I am always wondering about it because I don't remember being this way when I was a child.

Do you believe that the degrees of the transit are directly related to the way it is felt? For example,

My:

Sun-3 deg
Venus-3 deg
Mercury-25 deg

So, right now, uranus is at 13 deg, so would that mean the effects on my sun and venus would be waning?

Also, since sun and venus are both in my 10th would that effect my career getting off the ground? My love life always ending up broken?

My mercury in the 11th, I have had serious problems keeping friends. i could take them or leave them. It is really sad! I love the excitement of meeting, but then the work involved, the calling, it makes me get panicky.

If so, this transit IS really affecting me, and I'm not looking forward to the next 4 years. However, I am half kidding, because I know I have the power to recognize things and change their course.

I know this post is long, BUT, does it affect the house that the transit is going through (my 4 & 5) in a different way becasue of the oppositions in the 10th and 11th?

thanks for any guidance.

I have transiting Uranus conjunct my sun at the moment - right on top and it is affecting me in different ways - I think I will look back and see how it has effected me overall.

When the orb was very wide about 3 years ago (9deg), when it first touched my sun, that was when I separated from my husband, and it took a while for me to look back and see that it was a very good thing, at the time it was sudden and not expected. But I have change immensely from the person I was then, I feel more centred and more ME.

Now that it is sitting right on top I’m not sure – I know I am changing still but it is as if the changes aren’t final and I have more in store – that’s what I feel anyway.

I am currently in a new relationship and think (not sure) that it could be heavily affecting my feelings, they seem to be constantly changing about him, but then I assume a moon connection would affect that – but I could be wrong.

If I was to impart any advice it would be that you have to just go with the changes and the flow and accept that whatever happens, good and bad, you will look back and feel blessed by the transit – I know I do.

tUranus is in my 11th house and is opposite nSaturn (5th hs) and conjunct nMoon (11th hs).

Ive noticed a change in my mother's behaviour and personality.

I feel restless...but Ive been always like that with a Gem Asc and Mar conj my Sun.

Right now I dont feel like teaching anymore...I need a change and feel like my brain is turning into mush.

I dont know what else this could possibly mean.

Astrolover,
that really makes sence to me. Now I can remember that during tUranus sextiling my MC I had a totally unexpected job offer (when I wasn't looking for one), but I was too relaxed and reluctant to change anything at the time so I turned it down. Maybe I shouldn't have...

Thedividedsky, transits don't carry the same orb of contact as do natal charts. For major planets, the maximum orb is around 5. Uranus is well past the 5-degree orb of both your sun and venus, and not quite far enough along to contact mercury yet. I suspect there is something else going on in your chart that is causing your problems right now.

Also, you shouldn't gage your personality, whether you were outgoing, introvert, etc. based on how you were as a child because oftentimes we grow into the important/major aspects our natal chart. In astrology, we are considered adults at the age of 28/29 because that is when we have our first saturn return. This is considered the time we have matured into our sun sign and most other important areas of life, although we never stop growing and maturing.

Thedividedsky, YES, the houses that the planets that are being contacted will MOST CERTAINLY help to tell the story; and also the houses that rule the planets being contacted. These houses will reveal where all of the drama will play out. So, look at those houses for info.

Thedividedsky, sorry, but I keep leaving out questions you asked, and I'm trying to answer them all.

An aspect that is approaching a planet is certainly in the building phase and eventually it reaches a culmination somewhere around exact, but as the transiting planet moves further away from the planet of contact, the effects should lessen, which brings me back to both your sun and venus being at 3 degrees, well past the orb of influence for uranus.

From every book I've read, the only planet that affects you wholly whether it is in orb with another planet or not is when saturn is in your sun sign. For this entire time, you feel like a weight is on you. This doesn't mean that you only have bad things happen, but you are not as jovial as you would be if it weren't in your sun sign and you tend to take life very seriously. You can't have that good laugh, and when it leaves your sun sign you feel the uplifting of that weight and feel free to enjoy life again.

Uranus has been conjunct my natal Mars for quite a while now, and I have been prone to sudden outbursts of temper. Also, Uranus is transiting my fourth house and I've spent almost the last couple of years constantly living in/staying at different houses - I've moved four times in the last year and a half, and have also done periods of housesitting.

I also have it Transiting my 4th house, I know in 2005, I was never home... I ended up staying at my mom's most of the year because my brother had heart surgery, unexpected heart defect. I have had a hard time with my living situation and at times have thought about running. I am having a difficult time with my mother as well, I have moon in the 4th house.. Just a lot of problems, and hard time being restricted in my enviroment and family/or my mother rather.

I think there is some confusion about transit orb in this thread. The major effects of an outer planet transit are likely to happen within 1-2 degrees of exact and usually only 1 degree for a planet other than the sun or moon. If you notice something at 5 degrees out, you are probably misattributing it.

I have just finished a uranus square moon transit that lasted a year and it has completely changed my life. I never would have dreamed Id be where I am today a couple of years ago. I changed careers, went back to school, changed jobs, started a couple of relationships, ended them and have felt a vague unsettled and anxious feeling unlike any in my adult life all year until very recently when the transit ended. I was drinking chamomile tea all year and have not felt the need to for the last month for the first time in a year. Corresponding to the tranit's end.

My chart is situated in such a way that while uranus squared my moon it effected several other planets at the same time so the transit was that much more major.

I had

uranus square moon
uranus semisquare mercury
uranus sesquiquadrate saturn
uranus square neptune
uranus quincunx MC (which is conjunct pluto)
uranus quincunx pluto

all at the same time.

Right in the middle of the uranus transit, saturn began a year long opposition to my sun which will go for another few months until june. It has not been especially pleasant and the uranus disurptions have had more of a setback, unfair quality to them bec I had saturn opp (and contraparallel) sun at the same time.

There were a few major events and disagreements at a job that involved an abuse of power by a superior (in collusion with others) which I confronted the person about and subsequently left for. The consequences of this are major and not fully resolved yet, months later. This happened when uranus was half a degree from my MC and pluto. The amazing thing about all the changes is that they happened when uranus was almost exactly in aspect. Also, the transiting sun was always in hard aspect to uranus on the day of a major event (as astrologyweekly.com explains, the timing of an event always involves an inner planet, in my experience its always been the sun). Either conjunct, opposition or square and the transit was divided up into 3 sections, as are all transits.

Internally, uranus has made me evaluate myself, my goals - what I want to do - whats ultimately meaningful and what is not even though it may seem to be. Uranus in hard aspect is not a joke. It is disruptive and while not as depressing as saturn, can be extremely trying on your nerves and sense of groundedness. My sense of being 'in control' has been completely checked. While it brings a degree of liberation, it brings humility as well. A sense of being in service to something larger than individual goals. I think saturn measures responsibility to oneself and ones self determinded goals. Uranus is concerned about the individual as it relates to the global/communal context, not the personal. This is a point I havent seen talked about much by astrologers. They focus on its electric disruptive aspects without talking about its reasons and orientations. With uranus, everything is subject to change but ultimately for a much greater good. The buddhist idea of suffering as being due to attachment is dead on here and that is def part of the idea of this transit and what I exprienced. Thank God, major uranus only comes along once in a while .

Btw, the point made above about feeling saturn when its in your sign (or opposite in my case) is probably true. I definitely felt a sense of increased responsibility or weight since saturn entered leo in 2005. Thankfully, it will be in virgo in less than a year but the saturn transit has helped me grow alot.
Would the same be true of jupiter?

Bucketrider,

I may have not been as thorough about the 5-degree orb that I mentioned earlier because Thedividedsky thought she was having an uranus transit now and both her sun and venus are 3 degrees and uranus now is at 13 degrees.

Planets from saturn to pluto actually can be felt as early as 5 degrees (although mildly) for an approaching orb because their energy is so strong. I did mention in this same thread that the closer the planet gets to the contact planet, the stronger the vibration and, thus reaches its maximum strength somewhere near or at exact. I also mentioned that the planet's energy dissipates the further away from exact it is, and in that case, 2 degrees or so is the norm for a planet's energy to fade.

Hope this clarifies

Bucketrider,

While Jupiter's good graces would be wonderful if they operated just opposite to the way of Saturn in everyway, I have not read any material that suggested that jupiter operates in that way. We have to take Jupiter where we find it, giving about a 3-degree orb to start to see minor improvements in the area it is approaching, make the most of whereever it is or whatever its touching in our charts, and gracefully say goodbye when the orb is over.

Ummm yeah, uranus is getting ready to square my venus very soon and is due to last for like a year. I'm curious about that one myself so I really can't give ya any feedback....my b.

However, when t-uranus opposed my virgo moon a while back alot of wierd shiit was happening to me and the women closest to me. I can't say I was moodier than usual becuase I'm always moody...I don't know what moodier than usual would be. However, my virgo mom had a few strange accidents. Like one example, the glass shower door had fallen on her and shattered everywhere. She was okay thankfully.
