Neptune sweety, I have to agree with Sue....you can't try to be a Femme Fatale it really just comes naturally and usually with experience too.

No, dulce, by your post it seems that you have a misunderstanding of my point, i meant women who try to be something that they're not. Basically. I was going to go back and edit the post, but people already replied, so it would only cause a sort of chain reaction.

No, that doesn't mean I misundertood anything it just means you didn't word yourself correctly. I was responding to this:

quote:
which astrological aspects, positions, as well as natal fixed stars links and conjuncts indicate the femme fatal?

And no one can try to be a femme fatale, you either have it or you don't. People who try to be one usually come off being very cheesy (see Britney Spears). And also, I would say a femme fatale has wayyy more power sexually than the a completely submissive woman because unlike the submissive woman the femme fatale is in control.

I understand and thats what I was trying to say but I, right, just didn't word it correctly, and of course, my first human reaction is that you misunderstood, its a human thing. Of course i just acted too quickly, like i do sometimes, which i shouldn't.

oh, yea, thats what i was trying to discuss, the advantages and disadvantages of being in control and being 'on the bottom' so to speak. To me, it switches the traditional power control, the male isn't dominant anymore, and to me, thats not attractive. It could probably be, sexy, yea, but at the same time, you can't make a person need you or fall in love with you unless you possess a quality they may need in a woman or something exceptional to offer them.

The best love and lovers are sentimental, and generally femme fatals aren't. And thats the point i was trying to make. Subtle sexiness, the equivalent of understated elegance in style terms, is always the best of the best, but femme Fatales are over rated, and that concept of a woman mostly receives all the attention, because in this world, its always "things that are taken to extremeties".

Oh my bad, I hope I don't seem like I'm trying to jump down your throat...I'm just trying to make a point here.

I thought this really had nothing to do with falling in love....this was strictly about femme fatales and their sexuality. Most times a femme fatale is not concerned about making anyone fall in love with her. More like seduction type thingy if you get what I'm saying. And seducing someone does not necessarily equal making them fall in love with you. One last thing, I don't believe you can actively make anyone fall in love with you.....it just has to 'naturally' happen. Do you get what I'm saying?

Interesting topic. There's one friend of mine who I would definitely describe as a femme fatale. So many men fall for her on a regular basis that it actually becomes a bit annoying to her sometimes. She's aware of the power she has over men, but she keeps it in a healthy perspective.

She is very pretty, and has a gentle demeanor. Venus and Pluto conjunct in the fifth house, in Libra no less. Plus Neptune on the descendent, and Venus trine her ascendent. To top it off, three planets in Scorpio, including her Sun. The fact that her spirit is as beautiful as her face is might have a little something to do with her allure.

Dulce, i get what your saying, and i know you get what i'm saying, i think were both just adding in things that both of us are leaving out, lol, its funny, but true. Great stuff.

For what it's worth and with my Pluto in the 5th.. I don't treat relationships/sex lightly.
Power is there to be used in a positive sense, to empower others, not hurt them or lead them on.

If my understanding of 'femme fatale' is accurate, I'm probably the opposite of a femme fatale because it goes against every principle I have.

The idea of it seems cool or fun almost. My first reaction would be “a femme fatale.. how entertaining. It would make for great television" kind of like ‘cat woman’.

It's something that works well in a movie, in a painting, in a novel, in art. It illustrates passion. But it isn't something that I could apply in day to day life because people are not characters. They have actual lives and sex is a part of their lives. It should never become the beginning and end all.. and I wouldn't want to be responsible for reducing someone to 'sex object' status.. Bad karma.

Also, I guess I see the beauty in sex and I respect the spiritual connection too much to muddy it with power plays that might cause the other person grief.
Power should be balanced and complementary for the two people to be completely in sink. The concept of femme fatale (the powerful woman) or the macho player (the powerful guy) creates a power imbalance. There’s something about this that irks me deep down.. It *feels* wrong but I can’t quite articulate why.. I have my Venus trine Mars.. with Neptune in conjunction to Mars.. I guess my idea of love and sex is much more peaceful.

I couldn't agree with you more, Lauren. The macho guy/player or the femme fatale, theres just something not honest and real about them.

the posts thus far r interesting and i must say a clash of generations.i think coral and neptune5 have a point.the femme fatale idea needs a revision.it may have meant what sueg and dove said in the aftermath of the whole sexual liberation and feminist movement in the 60's and as the first generation to come out , there is bound to be a difference of opinion among age groups, and also culturally.

for example here in india our tantric ideas leave no space for the concept that sueg n others put forward coz uh, well, u see

SEX is RELIGION
when ur gods r in a permanent state of lovemaking the idea of a femme fatale is moot
i know ,unbelievable but its true.( lucky me !)

the coming of opposites is celebrated in our culture but the victorian era did dampen things a bit.

on this topic my placements r thus

venus conjunct chiron in taurus in a double quincunx to neptune and pluto
sun and moon opposite neptune(gives a pisces edge)
PLUTO in eighth house!(for that scorpio effect)

the result is - i have men projecting either the femme fatale(pluto) or femme divine(neptune) on me.imagine thinking of a guy as nothing more than a buddy n then he turns around n admits he's either in love or lust with u!
so well no male buddies possible without discomfort.

by the way u should check love signs for what linda said bout the allure of a neptune gal;
" in a far deeper sense than the libra female this woman knows every single feminine vile man has feared since Eve and a few others uniquely her own"
well i gotta say i think my strong neptune does lead my buddies to agree to that

'SEX IS RELIGION'

WOW.......WOW......WOW......

Let me buy a plane ticket....

NOW!!!

I am so sick of people dissing sex and claiming that its not spiritual, not of the soul....how can it NOT be when it is the creator of LIFE!!!!

Venus...your people to my mind are one of the most spiritually aware in the word.....

Thanks for bringing this to the forum!!!

i personally cannot have sex unless there is love and I feel a strong connection and care from that person. It MUST be all encompassing for me. It is a totally spiritual experience and i am VERY selective of who i sleep with.

I don't know if someone can figure it out in my chart but i always have at least 2 to 6 men liking me all the time. Lots of times I find out a year or so later. I will hear, "you know we have been freinds for a long time and i have to finally tell you...blah blaha..."

I never considered myself a femme fatale but now I am wondering what could be causing this because i dont go out and try. I think i am attractive but not a knock out. It is a joke among my freinds. I mean I just found out last night that a guy who is 17 years younger than me is starting a rumor that we are dating because he has such a crush on me. Crazy!

if anyone could look at my chart for this i would appreciate it.

venusdeindia,

I agree with you definately. I have often felt misplaced in the typical American culture. I believe Sex IS spiritural and that there is no higher creative force and if used wisely it can accelerate your spiritual evolution. I have taurean mars, venus, and chiron conjunct in the 5th house opposing Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th. I also have a highly pisean chart, my Sag Neptune is the strongest planet and conjunct the ASC in the 1st, and have a pisces moon. Sun Conj Jupiter in the 7th. I have sun trine libran pluto in the 10th with nnode in libra. Saturn in Leo in the 8th gives me periods of celibacy.

Sex is so fragmented in our culture, the rift between mind, body, heart, and emotions really needs mending - that's what I attempt to do in my own life.
