Geminis have been misunderstood for too long. They are, in their true nature, not superficial, not dishonest and not shallow. They've been wronfully accused for too many things that they are not guilty for.

Geminis do have feelings. Most of the time they feel acute, sharp, aching loneliness, because nobody seems to understand them. Worse still, no one seems to really want to, to really try to. And then they are misunderstood by others most of the time. They feel lonely and misunderstood.

Geminis have been essentially demonized for "dishonesty", "superficiality", "fickleness" and so on. The truth is, Geminis are far from "the sinners of the zodiac". If anything, they strive to be honest, say what's on their mind, and stick to the knowledge and facts that they know.

Just like the myth about "Librans are lazy"- which is a myth, and Librans are anything but lazy- so, too, have Geminis fallen victims of misinformation passing onto generations after generations of astrologers and aspiring astrologers. Like Linda discussed the case of the numerologist Cheiro and his death prediction in Star Signs, people have long been programmed to believing that "Geminis must be, typically, %&*$#*!" while they are NOT those things. With time, non-Geminis and Geminis alike, incoporate this deep-rooted belief that "Geminis are like that". Hence so much mistrust placed upon Geminis by others, so many debates on the "vices" of Geminis, and subsequently, so many unhappy Geminis. An ill-informed and unhappy world, that is.

Geminis's sense of insecurity largely stems from the popular astrological miseducation. In fact, Gemini is the idealist, the visionary who has the potential to embark an expedition, and independent thinker who aspires to discover the facts and the truth. We tend to be more sympathetic toward Scorpio for their intense, strong emotions, or Pisces for their high sensitivity and unique vulnerability...we tend to tolerate more easily the revenge instincts of Scorpio, and the two struggling fish symbolizing the life of a Piscean...but we are seldom as empathic toward Geminis. Instead, we have been quite merciless when it comes to criticizing Geminis, and the misinformation is truly powerful- negatively.

As soon as Geminis, and other people, realize the true qualities and potentials of this sign, Geminis will be more able to develop their strengths, and shake off all those myths around themselves.

Thank you for sending your encouragement to my Gemini friend. I am very pleased that you shared your thoughts about Gemini people. Your words reflect a true Gemini character. In the past, when I wasnt very knowledgeable about Astrology, I also used to believe that Gemini people were not reliable. Now, I dont think like that anymore. My mother is a Taurus, with Gemini Moon/Mercury conjunction, and a Gemini Ascedant. She is completely a trusty person, so truthful. She is just super-fast! She is the only woman I will never be able to defeat. I admire her so much. Her integrity, respect, justice, and openness is very impressive and inspiring. I hope I was not misunderstood, D for Defiant. I am not scared of getting into a relationship with a Gemini man. I am not a girl who pays attention to rumors. I prefer to discover people myself. I fear because I dont want to upset him. In these days, I feel like a lightning rod which attracts men. I know it is honoring, but I think I am not happy with this. Because everything got so confusing. Three other guys said that they were very affected by me in last three weeks. When I was saying I was in trouble, I meant this, but couldnt speak clear, because I have been ashamed of my situation. I hate double-dealing. So, I am trying to stay friends with all of them. I think I have to become distant from them for a while. I am very depressed.
