This might have been discussed before, so sorry if I start another one too soon, lol

I was wondering which factors, if any, are suggesting that the time for a baby would be good, transits, progressions in the chart? I am 34 years old woman, have no kids, and this issue is very sensitive to me, I am in a new relationship with a man who hasn't really decided if he wants kids or not, I now know that I want and I know I can't wait forever. I'd greatly appreciate your help, if someone could take a look at my chart and tell me what you see about ever having a child/children.

Thank you!!

Im not good at reading charts but i have read several places that the Moon transiting Jupiter is a fertile time. I know for a friend of mine it was true. It applies for the men or woman's chart.

charts don't show your choices and decissions. they can't do that.

also, the chart can't say if it is a good idea or a bad one. both exist as a possibility. it's up to you to activate one or the other. i'm afraid you should make this decission the old fashion way...

maybe I don't understand what you ask...

You can get your lunar fertility chart at astro.com - it shows your most fertile times and whether it's most likely you'll conceive a boy or a girl. You can look at planets in your fifth house and in his to see what kind of children you might have... Otherwise, the rest is up to free will.

Look at your Solar Return chart, lets say your natal 5th is Sagittarius, and your rising sign for the year is sagittarius, youre more likely to concieve that year,
also cancer rising in a SR,
jupiter transits to the sun, and moon comes to mind
sun(body) is expanded by jupiter
moon(fertility/home)

also look at moon sign of your SR chart, and how the planets play in your natal chart.

look at your 5th house,
ruler of your 5th house,
and aspects your 5th house ruler makes.

good luck.

I agree with Eatbooks. Children matters show up in the 5th house.

also the best time to try to have get pregnant are short transits like MOON transiting your jupiter. For example if your jupiter is aries, when aries moon or any of the fire moons are transiting, you have a higher chance of pregnancy.

Also jupiter transits of the 4th/and 5th. Sometimes the 1st.

Just throwing out a random thought here...

Aries is the cusp of my 5th
I have Jupiter in Aries in my 5th
And sun and Mercury in Taurus in my 5th
Sun is opposite moon and Uranus, both in Scorpio.
Mercury is opposite my moon.
My Jupiter is afflicted by Pluto (opposite) and Saturn (square).
I'm a Taurus with Sag rising.

Is it easy or hard for me to become pregnant? Or is it just a case of Saturn having delayed things so far? (Not that I've been going out of my way to be pregnant).

Also my bf is Aries rising with Aries moon - does this make a difference?

Since you have jupiter in the 5th, I'd say it would be easy to get pregnant, depending of course on aspects jupiter makes.

Aries tends to be a barren sign, and not very fruitful, but jupiter there helps a lot.

Look at your mars sign since aries rules mars.
what aspects does mars make? are there bad aspects? aries on the 5th will tend to produce boys, youre children are likely to be very aggressive and very difficult.

also, your jupiter conj. your bf's moon is good for fertility between you two, moon symbolizes home/children, you will have the ability to expand his home/children. this is a very fruitful aspect between 2 people.

my guess is you'd have to be careful while being pregnant, since aries(mars) is in your 5th house.

hope this helps.

I have Gemini on the cusp of my 5th house.

My moon is the only planet in the 5th house and opposes Neptune.Moon trines Mercury, Mars and Pluto.

I hear that Moon in Gemini people are more likely to have twins. Have had irregular menstraul cycles most of my life would this show up on my chart?

Thank you for all the information! I know that I have to make the decision by myself, I was just curious to know if there are any indications about children in the natal chart itself..

My positions are:

Sun 2 degrees Pisces in 8th
Moon 22 degrees Libra in 3rd
Mercury 19 degrees Pisces in 8th
Venus 21 degrees Aquarius in 7th
Mars 6 degrees Capricorn in 6th
Jupiter 29 degrees Capricorn in 6th
Saturn 13 degrees Gemini in 11th
Uranus 22 degrees Libra in 3rd
Neptune 7 degrees Sagittarius in 5th
Pluto 2 degrees Libra in 3rd

I have Neptune in 5th, one astrologer once said I'd have to pray to have children...

Thanks eatbooks! My Mars is in Pisces and it trines my moon and Saturn, but it's also the apex of a t-square with Venus and Neptune. It sextiles my sun and mercury in the fifth though.

And my Jupiter trines Neptune and sextiles Venus.

Neptune in the 5th doesnt mean you have to pray for children. It could mean there could be some sort of suffering attached with children. Adopting is likely. Angelina Jolie is a celebrity with this aspect. Anything is possible in truth. There are people with barren charts that have children, its just harder for them sometimes, but not impossible. Anything is possible.

I've thought about adoption a lot actually. Here in Finland it is such a long, and expensive process though. But I guess it's worth it eventually.

I was told that the sign on the cusp of your 5th house and the planets that are in there might manifest as the rising sign or 1st-house planet of your child. I’m not sure if it always works, but my mom’s 5th-house cusp is in Taurus and I came out one.

I have Scorp on the cusp with Jup/Ura and Neptune sitting there. If I can have children, I expect them to be kwazy.

I've also heard that the planets in your fifth house represent the qualities of the children you might have.

So for me, sun in the 5th might represent a child who is dramatic, loyal, all the Leo qualities.

Jupiter in my 5th might represent a child with Sagittarian qualities.

And Mercury in my 5th might represent a child who is very talkative!

I would LOVE to have a child/children who embody Sag/Gem/Leo qualities! They would be such a good combo of me and my bf. My goodness, they'd be a big-hearted show-off who never shuts up! So maybe the planets in your fifth also represent the kind of children you'd like to have?

the astrological conception method holds that a woman ovulates each month when the sun and moon form the same angle as on her birth.
example:if a womans moon was 90 degress after her sun then each month when the moon is 90 degress after the sun she will ovulate.regardless of the signs.as sperm remains viable for 72 hours, any sexual activity for 3 days before ovulation will work.but not one day after.your moon is 129 degrees 15' before your sun.that will occur on march 8 at approximately 12:00 hours UT/ET
next month it will be on april 7 at approximately 8:00 UT/ET.so get busy tonight LOL

thats very interesting william!
I've noticed that PMS hits when the moon conjuncts my natal mars and I start my cycle when it conjuncts pluto or as it just enters sagittarius.
I checked back as far back as I could go and its always either the beginning of scorpio or sagittarius
Is there any significance to what sign the moon is in when you start your cycle? Or when you ovulate?

there is no connection between a womans period and the onset of ovulation.a womans period can change.woman who live together tend to find there periods coming together.in medieval times ,whole villages of women would isolate themselves together during their periods.so i'm not sure what to make of the signs during ones period.

Personally, because I tend to take a lot of notice of my cycle, I've noticed this trend for me: actually no real trend in the number of days it takes to complete a cycle - it averages between 25 and 29/30 days. But the ovulation is always the halfway point, so I can pretty much rely on that as a guide. I ovulate every month. I'm a full moon in Scorpio so I attribute the regular ovulation to that (I've heard that some women don't ovulate every month). The period then, doesn't arrive at any one particular moon phase. Some women know they'll get a period at the full moon, but for me that's only a rough guide.

So, when I match this up to the lunar fertility calender from astro.com , their moon phase fertility predictions don't always match up to my ovulation times. Yet they say that the full moon (for me) is always a fertile time, whether I'm ovulating or not. So sometimes I could be fertile twice a month - ovulation time and at the full moon. Hence why some women get pregnant at times when they don't expect it (ie if they have intercourse during or just after their period).

I think it's interesting that women who live together get their period at the same time! It always happened like that with me and my sister. But she's also a full moon baby. I read somewhere that the cycles become synchronised due to pheromone-like signals passing back and forth between the women.

Umm william I just checked out the ovulation thing and it put me as ovulating smack dab on my cycles.
That doesn't sound write.
And from what I've read a womans cycle is connected to her ovulation. The doctor always told me to count 14 days back from the start of your last period and that is about when you ovulate.

Where did you get the info that the two are not connected? I'm not saying it happens all the time like clock work. But they are connected.

I've noticed a connection between moon sign and cycle switching. For example, a friend of mine has a cancer moon and her sister has a aries moon if they ever spend to much time together her aries sister switches over to her cycle.
In this case water is more powerful that fire.
Has any one else noticed this?

Can someone answer my question above
about about Gemini Moon, pretty please!
Check out this website for more information on lunar cycles. You can get the free lunar chart on astro.com.
http://www.cosmitec-astrological-compatibility-advice.com/lunar-cycle-fertility.html

quote:
Once upon a time.... there was a Czechoslovakian psychiatrist and astrologer, Dr. Eugen Jonas, who (re)discovered that there seemed to be a connection between the position of the Sun to the Moon in a woman's chart and when she was truly fertile.

The moment (once in a month) when the Moon is at the exact distance from the Sun as it was at one's birth is the key to lunar cycle fertility.

According to Dr. Eugen Jonas, this is also the moment of maximum fertility. If this moment also falls at the time of your estimate ovulation, we are pretty shure you will conceive, though there is anecdotal evidence that the lunar phase angle returns overpowers the menstrual cycle and that you CAN get pregnant by having intercourse during menses!

blackrabbit,
it is well documented that conception can happen at any point of a womans cycle, even during her period.this count back method was the only method the catholic church would endorse and it never stopped "accidental" children from being born.

geminilover 75,
have you documented when you actually ovulate.a woman's body temperate will rise 1 to 2 degress when she starts ovulation.i also think that if a woman has used hormonal birth control that it throws the natural ovulation cycle off.

I conceived both my children at different times in my cycle.

Doctors don't really use that '14 days after your period' thing anymore, an ultrasound will give a more accurate due date from which you can work out the conception date.

I can physically feel when I ovulate anyway, it can happen anytime in my cycle.
