AG - I was thinking that perhaps the reason for this is that he might put more "weight" on the personal planets? That would make sense as far as Leo is concerned...but not really Scorpio. Perhaps the "weight" deals with how aspected the planet is?

LOL ILWL!!!! Yeah, we needed that "air" - it was getting too stuffy in here! We earth/fire/water people can always use a good dose of logic! Hehehe

It's the opposite with me...I rarely attract air signs. I attract some people with a lot of air in their charts...but it's much too difficult for us to relate to one another long term. I had a relationship with a Gemini (I've mentioned this before), and we were just disasterous together. He had NO earth placements, and not much fire either. We're better as friends. I can have friendships with the air signs easier than romantic relationships.

Thank you, libraschoice! I was drying up over here! *soaks in water like a fish out of water*

Would anyone like some more air? I have enough to go around.

Yes ILWL! I find most men I attract are earth/water. I thought it was a coincidence at first. Taurus seems to be the sign of my "fatal attraction" though. But the earth/water men have at least one personal planet in fire or air.

LOL CrankyCap !

So here's my analysis of the whole situation

Vis-a-vis' relationships:

I have found that I either love or hate people with fire...thr's no middle ground whr friendship can breed

I'm just not attracted to people with a lot of earth.

Get drowned with too much of water too, i need to come up for air

A combination of fire-air-water is irrestible- they have the fire to warm my heart, the air to keep me entertained, and the water to handle my sensitivity.

Friendships:

Are easy with air people. but its so light and fluffy it cud hardly grow into a relationship

SolarVirgo, some more analysis after taking into consideration your experience and mine

People with one dominant element: seem to attract people who'd complement them, however, since one element dominates, its imp for the other person to have atleast a little bit of it. else its difficult to relate. But the last thing we need is another person who is ALSO all our element, the Universe wudn't let THAT MUCH of an imbalance exist.

ILWL - I do notice my lack of air all the time. I know I'm not a cerebral type by any stretch of the imagination. When I dated the Gemini, he was VERY cerebral, very calm, and very logical. I'm easily riled, and very emotional. I don't cry all that much, but I always "react." If that makes sense. The leo/sag side of me is always thinking up these grand schemes and ideas (without considering the "boring" details), and he would always come in like a wet blanket, and point out all the holes in the ideas. This was a major turn off for me. Also, I enjoy helping people when I can, and being sympathetic to their problems...he seemed to think that was usually a waste of time, and would tell me I couldn't "save the world." Also, I tend to get hyper and excited about things that I'm passionate about. Since he was always so calm, he'd just look at me as if I was crazy. We often had lengthy debates about religion too...whether or not there was a higher power. He wanted me to "prove it" where as, I would get blue in the face trying to tell him that it was based on "faith." Round and round we went...
I think that what attracted us to one another in the beginning, is exactly the same thing that repelled us in the end.

I work with a Taurus/Aqua right now who I like - most of the time. However, sometimes he pushes my buttons when he tries to act smarter than everyone else by spitting out statistics, ratios, and facts. I know that isn't a Taurus thing, but an Aqua thing. Difficult for me to relate to...

If someone has a lot of air in their chart, it's best for me when it is their outer planets, and not their personal planets...unless it's just one.

CC, ALL of my girlfriends are Aries, Leo and Sag, plus my daughters are Leo and Sag. I was married to a Taurus, dated two Aries, a Leo, and two Saggies. As far as heart longing, the Sag guys were the ones I fell for hard and fast. And then I finally met up with Mr. Pisces. Well, that's another long story, but he made me think maybe I should be looking for men who are little more "watery". He just got me.

Other than my immediate family, I don't even know anyone who is an air sign, except a couple of guys I work with. Unexplored territory....hmmm.

ILWL, you have lots of air....then you can be the fourth "Charlie's Angel".

As for attracting what I lack.....I don't know. My current bf has this energy about him that's very airy and he actually only has one planet in air and that's venus in libra. However, I have discovered that he was born very close to noon giving him either a late Capricorn Asc like mine or an Early Aqua one; I'll be the judge to that.

Before that, all I have ever attracted was geminis or sags with the occasional Taurus or Scorpio. Its the 5th/11th house from my chart played out...that's what I think.

ILWL, I kept nodding after every sentence you wrote! It is SO true! Lemme see...for fire signs, I usually get along with them fabulously. Leos are sort of iffy for me though. Maybe I haven't met more of the positive, heartwarming kind, but it seems like I more often than not come across the selfish, "center of attention" variety. No offense, Leos! My sister is one, and I love her very much. She falls under the positive category of Leos. So not ALL Leos are like this. It's just that some Leos I am acquainted with are boss, narcissistic, and think the world revolves around them. Back in sophomore year back in high school, I had a Leo acquaintance who would call me all the time, to "study." When I picked up the phone, there was no "Hello, how are you?" or even a simple "Hi." It was , "Okay, get your book and open it to page blah blah blah" or "I don't get number so-and-so. Can you explain it to me?" Back then, I wasn't as assertive as I am now so I tried to be nice and help her. Next year, we didn't have any classes together, and no more calls from her. Senior year, I saw her for the first time in a year(I went to a BIG high school) and she didn't even bat an eye. Just a flat "Hey" and walked to her next class. She is a nice person, but I couldn't help but feel bossed around and used. Of course, not all Leos are like that (like my sis for one) but I've had so many bad experiences with them that I am cautious around them.

Earth signs are touch and go. I haven't met a lot of other Virgos, and the Capricorns I've met don't really see eye to eye with me. Plus they square my Libra stellium. Tauruses, though.. I'm strange like that.

Ooh, water! Being with them helps me release my emotions. I have a problem with properly expressing them...I usually end up stuffing verbalizing or rationalizing them so they never truly get out in the open. Being with watery people helps me get to the deeper parts of myself. When I was younger, like back in college and late high school years, I was what one might call flaky, superficial, or shallow. I hated it when someone would point that out and often denied it, but there are moments when I proved them true. I used to be downright terrified of intimacy and commitment. But water signs have helped me in a lot of ways to develop my emotional side, starting with helping me get over that initial instinct of describing or putting into words new emotions to just put my mind on pause and just feel. However, too much water can be emotionally draining and overwhelming and I find myself back in my airy bubble.

AND lastly, air signs! I've had a few relationships with predominantly airy men, and it was so causal, so friendly that our relationship doesn't really progress from there. It is just like you said, INWL, it's really "light and fluffy" with many an interesting conversations (we've been on a few outings where we've done nothing but talk, talk, pick our food, and talk) but we never became emotionally intimate. When we have disagreements, we just sit down and talk things over..like What is the purpose of our arguing? How did it begin? If it has some root causes, is there any way we can improve or eliminate the problem? Until I dated a water/fire person, I never realized how good a scream to vent frustration can be! Of course, I prefer to still talk over things, but random yelling really helps get things off my chest!

A nice combination of all the elements would be fantastic, to balance out all my inconsistencies. And a personal planet in air and fire definitely goes a long way in relating.

I find that I am more affected by a person's MODE breakdown. I have a very even split with my fire, air and earth percentages with water behind them all. But my MUTABLE is 42% and my fixed very very low. I do nto do well in close relationships with people who have very high FIXED especially if it's lots of water with a generous dosage of FIXED. My Scorpio Mom with Aqua Moon was like that. And though I loved her to pieces, she was extrenely intense, smoldering angry and then stubborn. It simply scared the crap out of me as child and later frustrated me as an adult. She was emotional yet unmovable. My brother is like 70% fixed , We are good friends but there is no way I would ever want to be his wife. He is unbending and extraordinarily hard headed. So for me I look at my friends and they are mostly Geminis, Leos and Pisces but what they all have in common is a healthy degree of mutability... I should also add that I have an Aqua sister with 2 planets in Pisces and her cardinal rate is way below the screen and she has a really tough time getting up the energy for anything. So we are cool with conversation and email mainly but not getting things done together....

soconfused - You are the most elementally balanced person I've ever seen! My hat's off to you - you are probably about as well rounded as a person can get!

My top 3 planets:
1) Jupiter
2) Mercury
3) Uranus (I have a T-square with all 3 of these planets )

Top 3 Signs:
1) Sagittarius
2) Pisces
3) Virgo

Strongest Elements in order:
1) Water
2) Fire
3) Earth
4) Air

What I find interesting, is that my "weakest" planet is Cancer, and I've formed the most significant relationships with people with their sun or moon in Cancer. I love Cancers. I have always meshed well with water signs, though. Just realized my bf's strongest elements are in the exact same order as mine...kinda neat.

Hi CrankyCap, got to say I am painfully aware of my lack of fire !!! too much air is not a good thing. i'll have a thousand ideas (ok, not a 1000, lol...i just wanted to give an arbitrarily large number ) and scrap them within minutes of thinking about them, bcoz i always come up with some reason why they wudnt work.

And then, its not just my lack of fire....its this overabndance of AIR tht drives me nuts sometimes. its like this part of me overshadows much else about me. i am constantly swimming in a whirlpool of ideas, theories and correlations (or may be i shud say floating on a cloud of those )

Thank god for my earth, otherwise i wud be dangerously flaky. and my cancer asc too. (tht's pretty much the only water i hv, unless u want to count uranus in 29 degree scorp )

guess wht, i hv an idea, lets add up our charts, and redistribute the elements more evenly....or wait, scrap tht !! life's more interesting this way

(tht was a demo for ya)

soconfused...i thought only us unbalanced ones had the right to complain about being confused...or may be it is we who confuse you? ;-)

SolarVirgo, glad u liked my analysis :-) i guess since we both hv a very similar 'mix', we get whr the other's coming from ;-)

Any yes InLovewithLife - certain people confuse me while others I know within 30 seconds - weird - it's a vibe I get
