Reach for the StarsMercury in Scorpio These natives have fiercely acute minds and penetrating intellects. Their powers of reasoning are sharp and make them the most observant and perceptive of all the Mercury types. They need to communicate in depth to feel mentally satisfied and are profound thinkers who love to find the root cause of things. They excel at problem solving and always want to know what is going on; and they can see through all phoniness, sham, and pretense. They have wonderful investigative minds and are born masters of psycology. It is hard to deceive people with Mercury in Scorpio because they do not miss a beat. Since their number one priority is to win by using their fine mental powers, they cannot afford to be fooled-so they like to be aware of what others are thinking. They love to discover the intellectual weaknesses of others so they can attack when necessary: This makes them dangerous opponents. They are constantly passing judgment on others and this habit lets them know exactly what to say to wound others. They can be ruthless in their methods and cannot tolerate opposition; they have contempt for those who disagree with them-and it is difficult if not impossible to convince them of anything. They can be extremely negative and overcritical, a destructive trait that overcompensates for their being incurably suspicious, secretive, or elusive about their inner thoughts. If they are pure of heart and have a more positive mentality, they can use their vision to bring problems to the attention of others and to help them arrive at solutions. Usually they hide their incredible knowledge and they are respected for their ability to tackle the most difficult and mysterious questions in life. But most people stay away from Mercury in Scorpio natives in order to avoid their sarcasm, sharp tongues, and indifference toward opposing opinions, though their criticism is usually based on accurate observation-it's just dished out most uncharitably. They tend to be reckless with words that can cut deep, and their volatile tempers can cause them to go into frightening rages. Intellectually they are extremely curious. They have excellent command of language, great memories, and love to probe the depths of consciousness. This makes them natural psychologists, investigators, researchers, or metaphysicians. They have a tendency to think about sex a lot, and are easily aroused through verbal suggestions. IP: Logged |

My mother has it. She can’t lie, it’s very funny watching her trying to not make a comment. She always does. But it’s out of genuine love and compassion – never in a “know it all” fashion. But as a child I couldn’t stand her comments. They were never malicious, just overly critical – I would just tune her out, and do my own thing. She’s a lot better now. I’ve taught her to reel in the criticism. Incidentally, my Merc is squaring hers in aqua. Perhaps why we bump heads. IP: Logged |

My boyfriend has Mercury in Scorpio. He's not mean but says when he gets real mad he can be. So he just doesn't say anything and controls it. He's very direct. Especially romantically and sexually.
He asks a lot of questions.

(**claps hands**) Actually, I don't totally agree with that I think it would need a Mutable Sun and/or Moon to pull off that degree of aural assault.....aqua inferno ~ My dearest water nymph, you changed your email Have missed you..... Mme Zala IP: Logged |

I would also have to disagree that Merc in Scorpio natives talk incessantly...infact, the opposite...Merc in Scorpio listens and observes, takes good notes, then files for future use. IP: Logged |

I have Merc in Scorpio, in the 12thIts only aspect is a conjunction to Venus. I talk far too much. I know I do. I can't help it though. My mouth moves faster than my brain. But I also have Jupiter in the 3rd house. So I'm sure that influences it. IP: Logged |

Another Merc in Scorp here. Along with Venus, Sun, and Neptune all in the first. Interesting read there, so much of it is so true. To me, having yet another planet in the first just puts more focus on self. Self, self, self!!! Which seems odd because the further I focus on myself the better off I am. Hence, why I love doing massages, home health, and being something of a job counselor. Spry

Mercury In Scorpio here too! I agree with some of it but definitely not all. But maybe my Capricorn ASC. and Aquarian moon tones things down a bit. I can relate to these ones: Carl Sagan(even though he irked me by arguing too much with Immanuel Velikovsky instead of working with him. They would have made a great team! Martin Scorcese Jodie Foster Whoopi Goldberg John Lennon John Cleese Ray Walston. Deepak Chopra ------------------ ~Judgement Must Be Balanced With Compassion~ ~Do Not Seek Wealth From The Suffering, Or The Dire Needs Of Others~ ~Assumption Is The Bane Of Understanding~ }><}}}(*> <*){{{><{ ~~~ ~~ ~~~~ ~~~ ~~ ~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~ ~~~IP: Logged |
