I'm African American (with some extremely far down the line mix up of Native American/French) with both my parents being so as well. My hair is very dark brown (it looks black, but its not) and it gets lighter in the summer time and actually looks dark brown.My mother and sister's hair is naturally a brownish-red color. My sister's is lighter than my mom's and the reddish tone is very prominent. We always found that a bit odd, in a family dominant by darker hair...her and my mother's hair is quite ruddy. My mom's chart ruler, Moon in Gemini is opposite Jupiter/Mars conjunct in Sagittarius. My sister's chart ruler, Mercury is square Jupiter/Mars conjunct in Leo

Hi everyone!  I'm new to the site and fascinated! What astrological aspects determine hair color in general? One of my friends took my chart to an astrologer and he smiled and said "She has long dark hair, doesn't she?" What was he looking at to know that? IP: Logged |

Eighth Moon, Probably your Ascendant, Planets near the AC. The sign your AC is in, and it's aspects. Maybe even your Sun sign and it's aspects.IP: Logged |

The thing is that I am really the only one that gets red hair in my family, more auburn though. Except for my aunt who was a Leo(August 3)she used to have bright red hair as a kid.------------------

Green Fairy, my Aries Jupiter is in my 5th house. I should add I know a couple of Jupiter conjunct ascendant people (who are both Leo risings) and they're aren't redheads...I should also add that neither of my parents are redheads. But red hair seems to pop up every now and then on my mother's side of the family, once a generation I've noticed - my great auntie was a redhead and so was her daughter (my 2nd cousin I believe). I have auburnish red hair, and aries ascendant! It's actually a rare shade of auburn... I hear "you should bottle that color" on a daily basis. I've heard it described as red, chestnut, auburn, strawberry blonde... It's long & wavy, very unruly... and with these "baby wisps".... I don't even bother blowdrying it or straightening it... I barely brush it in the AM... I've heard that aquas usually have some crazy hair, which is VERY true for me! ------------------

I'm African American and ancestary line of cherokee indian. My hair is reddish brown and gets lighter in the summer. I have a reddish brown skin tone. My son is part Dominican and he gets really red. He's a Aries Sun and has Jupiter in the 1st house. He has reddish blondish hair, very indian looking. IP: Logged |
