Silly question but i'd like to know what kind of aspects would give someone red hair?
Does the MC count in?

I have an aunt with auburnish/copper-red hair (yes people, its natural) but she has an Aqua sun/virgo moon/ and a Asc somewhere in gemini). Anyways aside from genetics, I thought Aries was the indicator of red hair? My aunt does have Sun conjunct mars in Aqua.

What I find interesting is that the redhead requires more anaesthetic. I haven't ever heard an explanation for it.

My family has a lot of red heads. My mom, sister, and brother all have red hair. I just checked their charts and didn't notice any shared placements.

and uncle- Pisces/Cancer moon/Aires rising
and 2 cousins, one Scorp one Libra
and I think my paternal grandmother, a Pisces.

Im 100% African, I was born with red hair, light reddish brown....My hair darkened to a more natural look dark brown when I was teen.

Ive got a Sag Ascendant & Mars at the very end of my 1st.

I agree! I have known real redheads of many ancestries! Red hair can occur in any family!
One lady I know has the prettiest natural Russet red hair and she is of African descent.
One of my former sister-in-laws is Korean/Chinese, yet her hair is a dark Titan Red naturally.

Well in all fairness to Zonnan, red hair is rare in these parts of the world, but it happens. I'm African as well but my family has mixed African and Portuguese Ancestry so weird traits are bound to show up (and they have). Therefore, it probably accounts for my aunt's hair. (Although, out of all the Portuguese I've known, there's only been one who was a natural redhead *shrugs*).

Still, it was not expected for my aunt to have that hair....perhaps its was Aqua tendency to shock.

Strawberry blonde here, I always attributed it to the Aries in my chart (N.Node and Saturn)

or maybe the redheaded Scots line in my mum's family..

I have very bright red hair and im Aries sun, Mars, Mercury and Venus. With Cancer ascendant and virgo moon.. Most of which have been mentioned above as contributing to red hair, maybe that why its so bright.
My mum also has much darker red hair, She is Aqurius sun, with Cappy ascendant and Moon in virgo.

I have Jupiter conjunction Ascendant, Mars conjunction Ascendant, and my hair turns red easy in the sun. Doesn't fit the rest of my features though.

I was a redhead as a kid and it got darker to a dark brown chestnut as I got older, BUT it somehow retained two red streaks. These days I have it done blonde, but it always throws out warm tones and if I was to see the wrong hairdresser it would be ginger - because of my natural redness, it is very difficult to turn blonde successfully. The colouring does suit me but I prefer myself blonde. Interestingly, when I Photoshop pictures of myself, I'm drawn to enhancing the warm tones. eg:

My hair doesn't REALLY look that colour in real life due to going blonde (I must admit though, it is a warm blonde)... but that's the colour I had as a kid.

I put my red-ness (even if I mostly hide it these days) down to my fire placements:

Sag rising
Jupiter in Aries.

My bf was a blondish-strawberry blonde young boy, but it's now VERY DARK brown... every now and then though, I catch a glimpse of the dark auburn streaks in it. Aries rising and Aries moon.

Thanks Dulce, you are right! there are always exception, especially, like the case of your aunt.
As Azalaksh said, ' how about people in China', they have black and maybe brown hair, but if we were to see someone with red hair, almost every one would think that they dyed their hair...which is very common in this part of the world. What would you say if I were to ask what aspect have black hair?
I was only thinking that when we look for something like this, it has to apply to majority of the population in the world or we would have to limit it to a certain race, this is only my own interpretation.

I'm wondering about Axl Rose... the only fire placement he has is Uranus in Leo. Other than that he's an Aquarius stellium with a couple of water placements. I don't know his rising sign though. Maybe he's an Aries or Sag rising?

Hmmm let's think... hot-tempered, impulsive... maybe we do have an Aries rising on our hands! ???
