What's up with the angry smilie?!
You obviously WANT an argument.
I have been reading this thread and everyone is quite clearly having an amiable discussion.
Take a tip from a Libra and chillllll!

Yeah totally, Dew. I agree with you. Its like even if there were some greivences (sp?), the conversation has turned pretty amicable and now someone start some new sh%t. I mean, come on.

But I thought you were a Cancer?

Ppl, ppl, she is all cool. Her response was more playful rather then aggressive; Its a... firendship thing . Besides, she does bring up a very good point; If you don't have something more solid and reasonable to say, please don't say it in this thread; Capiche?

quote:
Xodian dearest,
what is a good argument without someone to start a fight and prove the point eh?

Lol! Well ironically if another sign got defensive about its position, people would have just waved it off as just normal behavior.

But if its a Libra... OH NOES! ANTI-SOCIAL!!! LOL!!!

Ppl, like any other sign, we aren't dense to injustificalble finger pointing and you can bet on a counter argument . And well, the counter-arguments have been provided and obviously we all have moved on with the petty squabbling over the nature and purpose of the thread.

Now on with the topic at hand.

quote:
Can a Libra rising join that statement?

Offcourse you can sweets. Libra rising obviously displays the same characteristics as a Libra sun; right down to Venusian beauty trait offcourse Lol! No denying you got them babe .

quote:
Grrrrr Xodiaaaan!! Venus does not have anything to do with Athena! I refuse to agree with this lololol i despise the woman. The way she treated Aphrodite and in general others, SO UNLADYLIKE!

LOL! Well like it or not Sweets, I really think she is a part of the Libra characteristics. I mean just look at some of her ruling aspects; Strategy, Culture, Cities, Arts, Wisdom, and well... the strategic side of warfare; and besides, most scholars who would lable her off as the emotionless benifactor haven't read the illiad Lol! She cried when Achillies died; She CRIED! The one goddess who never showed her emtions in time of war actually cried. Really puts a new prespective on the whole myth behind her persona does it not?

And Aphy still rules Libras IMO; Only that she shares the throne per-say Lol! Remember that Libra is the sign of balance; Two completely different driving aspects of the world (Love and logic) balanced oh so harmoniously (or unharmoniously in some cases) in a single being; Way too poetic Lol!

P.S. Sorry if I ain't online much these days BUD; With the night shift and a oh so passionate relationship, you can bet I have my hands full Lol! I seriously try to be on as much as I can...

All in the prespective of things Acoustic . Chew on any bubble-gum long enough and it will eventually lose its flavor. Thus... you keep it random.

Would love to share examples but this is a family friendly forum.

I always feel very sad on seeing that instead of having interesting discussions and argumentations, people start to take it personal and making generalisations of signs and persons

I must quote one of my favourites : " No one inferior can offend you...and one superior would " - might as well been said by a Libra

I LOve my Libra man , no matter what people say about Libras - i wished all could testemony how these sign people are incredible as human beings - and genuine.

kiss to you all

We expect Librans to be emotional as water signs which they aren't and they will never be that's the reason they are the way they are....

Really, because it sounded a little more argumentative and condescending to me. But then again, I have been really touchy lately.

Greetings...

Though Libra is often "misunderstood", as it were, remember the important question... why is it the only sign represented by an object (The Scale) as opposed to an entity? In this regard, I do believe that it is misunderstood on a Spiritual level. But so are Gemini and Capricorn. Well, I suppose on a metaphysical level, one could pitch a good case that many of the Signs are not understood by the exoteric astrologer.

Gemini? Any idea as to why this Sign might be misunderstood, or perhaps underestimated by the average astrologer?

Capricorn... now there's a story.... it has to do with the correct way that the glyph for the sign is drawn, and what that represents. Again, any thoughts?

Best Wishes and Blessed Solstice...

The opinionated Astrologer...

A

P.S. We have to go deeper than the Personality or Sun Sign level here. This is fairly esoteric. If this is not what was intended for this thread, perhaps a new one should be opened if anyone feels inclined to pursue this matter. Just a thought.

P.P.S. I cast my vote again for Minerva as true ruler of Libra, and Venus as perectly happy in Taurus!

Well going back to your view as to how Libra is ruled soley by Minerva... Well I may have to interject there since Libra does show quite a bit of Venusian qualities yet at the same time has a sort of crossover personality of Minerva. Could it be that this sign has two influential rulers? Something to ponder on. May also be the reason why its respresented by the scales.

Goodness Dulce I wasnt referring to you even close. I was referring to the people who felt the need to point out how ANNOYING (as if there arent better words) all of us are for choosing to discuss this... Don't take things so personally it had nothing to do with you, your arguments are well founded and legit...and at least u back them up.

I love Artemis but abhor Athena lol. Her dealing with Arachne was childlike at most...if she was a true goddess confident of her ability she wouldnt need to challenge a mortal to a contest, shed just blow it off..or take away her ability or something...not any of the stuff she did

quote:

Ppl, ppl, she is all cool. Her response was more playful rather then aggressive; Its a... firendship thing

Seeeriously people...must be my mars conj mercury that people take things I say like that. I was more pondering something rather than attacking anyone.

Awww dearest you always make me smile!

Yea but in the Iliad as well as the Odyssey her emotions make her biased. And yes she is very helpful but I always pegged her for a Cancer or a Capricorn, more Cancer I'd say than anything else. Actually i have this awesome book called Myth Astrology that actually picks different gods for diff aspects. Athena is picked as Sun in Aquarius.

LOL and dont you worry about being online. Have a ton of fun and say hi to the missus for me! She seems like a very cool chick

Awesome words Diandra!

Me too damn it and I dont know whyyyyy! LOL. Seriously it could be the Merc RX i didnt mean to sound argumentative I was just pondering why there was a necessity to insult (and i kinda felt that was a little condescending) basically everyone in this thread for stating their opinion (not by u again)

Well I hate to burst your bubble, but Artemis was no better. Don't none of you remember what she did to her love-interest just because he was a better marksman than she was?? (And like a true cancer too on a bad day)

Aselzion...

Understimated... hmmm. I find them highly versatile, but I've never underestimated them; using the negative aspects, I think many people may not see that they can be highly treacherous, and only see the good in them...just like Scorpios. However, Geminis are incredibly intelligent; they think with their heads, but lack consistency and patience. I think because of Gemini's quickness to change moods and topic conversations, many people misunderstand them. They are just very versatile-- Gemini is a complete question mark with the emphasis on exploring... they require an audience, someone to genuienly be interested in everything Gemini has to say--this is one of Gemini's deepest needs. I think Linda was right, Gemini is always clever but not wise.

As to Capricorn, hmmm, here's a question for you Aselzion, why do some astrologers refer to them as Sea Goats? Ancient Astrology does, I think!

I think the wheel of Astology is so complex, some Astrologers believe that we begin with Virgo and end with Leo. I'm still looking into that~

BornUnderDioscuri,
Nobody says, the discussion is annoying. Annoying is the ATTITUDE. Many Libras say here, they don't like generalizations. Sorry, sweeties, but I have bad news for you- astrology is about generalizations! Of course these genaralizations don't describe your personality fully, but the base is never wrong. The funny thing is, if the generalization is positive, everyone agrees, it is true. And if the generalization isn't so positive, the same people scream NO,No,No.

I was just pondering on something:

Its back to how Libra is assosiated with an immaculate object. Could it be that Libras try to live such a high standerdized and conceptual life rather than as a living, breathing, fallible creature? Possibly that is what ends up giving this sign a bad reputation as an anti-social sometimes.

I am a Sun Scorp with Libra ascending, and more times than not I come out looking like a two faced creep, because the Libra side of me is INDECISIVE and always tries to be pleasing, and when I get confronted about this the Scorp always has to let them know where I actually do stand. I try to fight the Libra any chance I get because even though my ascending is always trying to clear the air by being diplomatic the Scorp in my gut KNOWS there is no grey area.

I really find that odd Farcyde, since I would have guessed that the Scorpio Sun would have made you a more direct person. Most Libra Asc. and Libra Sun that I have come across are anything but two faced. They do look at both sides of the situation but I have NEVER seen em wuss out on anything. Far from it actually.

On the topic at hand:

I just realised that most of the famous celebs I like are all Librans .

Females:

-Linda Hamilton
-Monica Bellucci (Oh hell yeah! No one can doubt her beauty!)
http://home.wlv.ac.uk/~in8611/Monica%20Bellucci.jpg

- Neve Campbell (need I say more?)
- Catherine Zeta-Jones (One word... Entrapment .)

- Naomi Watts.
- Gwyneth Paltrow.

Males:

- Christopher Reeves (the original Superman.)

- Viggo Mortensen.
- Matt Damon (The Jason Bourne series has been my personal Fav.)

- Clive Owens (Wayyy too cool.)
- Hugh Jackman (Yeah ppl... Van Helsing is a Libran Lol!)

- And possibly one of my fav. politicians of all times; Pierre Elliot Trudeau.
