I agree with Martian, Saturn looks big and bad and well it could be, but look at it as a learning experience, I use to hate Saturn anytime it would show up close to any of my planets or in my transits, not saying that I will Saturn to me, but when Saturn is gone the sun shines so bright. The trick is to not go against the grain of Saturn, get what its trying to teach you..IP: Logged |

I find this article SO interesting, for what I brings up on a world scale...I predict that the current health care crisis will be a HUGE focus for the next US election.... I am sure I am not the only person here who has noticed the emphasis on food that has been building- not just in relation to the obesity "epidemic" - but the words "organic" "locally grown" "sustainable" are definitely hot topics right now..... As for me personally- I could almost feel the mental shift with the eclipse- my first thought every morning when I wake up is "i don't want to smoke today" suddenly, its a joy to chose healthy activities.. Virgo 10th house, conjunct Merc and Midheaven-
I am SO curious to see what the next 2 years brings... MK IP: Logged |

I agree MK, with the news reports about all the botulism and e. coli tainting American food and the issues with genetically modified foods and the effects on the human body I see a lot of changes coming.Maybe more will join the "eat local" or 100 mile diet challenges out there. IP: Logged |

Fingers crossed for you Scorpio Chick ! I haven`t experienced my Saturn return yet, it is to come By then i`ll have to deal with my progressed Moon return in a few months. I have my Mars at 29 degrees Libra so Saturn is making a sextile now. I guess it makes me stronger IP: Logged |

I agree with you too MK. In the last few days it has seemed much EASIER to not have an extra cigarette...or a cupcake. All I've been thinking about is getting healthy. Not getting on a DIET, not losing weight, but actually FEELING good and being healthy. The motivation is stronger and much less superficial. This is my saturn return too...along with my boyfriend, 2 of my best friends, and 3 of my co-workers. I've got Virgo on the 3rd house cusp. I've also got moon in Pisces, and mercury & neptune in Sag. It's going to be an interesting couple of years to say the least... IP: Logged |

Thank you for posting this, Nephthys. This has been a real butt-kicker of a week for me, what with the eclipse conjoining my Mars (the ruler of my Sun in the Sixth house, aspecting Moon, Venus, Nodes, Uranus and ascendant), and Saturn beginning to aspect the same. It hasn't been all bad, but I'd rather not repeat the past two days anytime soon. Saturn has been in my tenth house since August of 2006, and will move into my eleventh house around 11* or 13*Virgo (I think). I've mostly enjoyed Saturn's placement here. IP: Logged |

This reminds me of something I read about a few months ago, concerning paying a fee to the local organic farm of your choice, and either having the vegetables delivered or going to pick them up yourself (from the farm, or wherever they were selling their produce). It was a little more expensive here in Ohio, and we couldn't afford it this year, but it's something I'm going to look into again, as well as having another go at growing my own veggies. I can't find the link for the website, and I have to get off the computer, but I'll edit it in when I do find it... On a goal-setting site that I'm a member of, I've noticed a lot more goals concerning the environment and being more environmentally-friendly/aware. Here's the link I mentioned above: Local Harvest: Community Supported Agriculture (And Other Farm Subscriptions) "Many farms offer produce subscriptions, where buyers receive a weekly or monthly basket of produce, flowers, fruits, eggs, milk, coffee, or any sort of different farm products."
