Lord of Karma meets the Karmic punishment... This in the context of 2007 being the "year of retrogrades", as some astrologers put it.

Personally, I'm scared like hell. I'm already having:
-Pluto conj natal South Node (go figure... karmic punishment in plenty)
-Karma return (the asteroid)
-Saturn squaring natal Karma (in like... a few days). I give up!!

2007 has been a very karmic year for me (personal year 8 - 8 is my numerical challenge...). I think I will shoot myself now or go hide in a basement until the karmic tornado is over.

*edit* Oh, forgot to say that on that beautiful day of 23rd of October, when North Node will be @5*44' Pisces, Saturn @5*44' Virgo, the little Karma asteroid will be SQUARING them from 8*57' Gemini! Bon apetit!

...natal Uranus is at 8*55' Sagi I'm toast!!!

Natal Saturn in gemini 1st house; I'm slightly worried cos on 6th Nov Saturn will be exactly conjunct my Pars Fortuna in Virgo and exactly sextile my Moon in Cancer and square my natal Saturn. Virgo rules my 4th house but the conjunction will take place near the end of my 3rd house. I don't have any planets placed in Virgo, but have POF, Juno and IC
T Saturn right now is at the end of my 3rd house
Aspects to Virgo (natally) - opposite MC; square Jupiter and Saturn; trine Vertex; sextile Moon

So U know I'm concerned too - hold me

WOW is S.Node really karmic punishment? From what i read it is the lessons you have already learned from previous lifetimes. The North Node is what you are supposed to learn, but South Node is where you are comfortable and familiar. Its our duty to sort of move past our south node and into the north node. I have never seen it looked upon as karmic punishment so maybe this Saturn conjunction won't be as bad. Maybe it will open our eyes to what we already have learned and make us move past it, or at least become more serious about acknowledging it. I honestly don't know but thats my feeling on it.

Well...I'm not going to have any conjunctions/oppositions luckily,although Saturn is transiting my intercepted IC right now(Leo 28*-Libra 1*).I will,however,be suffering through this conjunction squaring my Natal 12th house Venus(Gemini 6* 59'28").Fun Fun Fun....

Except from the conjunction to your IC (which might bring some karmic stuff related to your anchestors?), and the square to natal Saturn, the rest doesn't sound all that bad. Sextile to Moon is actually very good! I had the trine right before Saturn entered Virgo and boy, was I grateful for it!! The conjunction to POF might actually prove to be a Godsend, Saturn isn't all a bad boy . If there's something long term that you want to achieve, might be willing to consider that period.

Well, in my particular case, I am not expecting anything good from Mr. Saturn. He is my teacher and my ruler and I know I've been a karmic bad girl coz I have 5 retro planets and the Nodes direct. So I probably deserve the punishment, that's the saddest thing
Just came after Saturn through the 7th... phew! I'm so glad it is over!!!! Now it's in my 8th, and even if it's depressing like hell and making me very lonely, I'd rather have this than what has been going on the last 2.5 years. If you're in a relationship, hold on tight - or maybe not, if it's not what works for you.

I do not know if it's really "karmic punishment", I know an astrologer lady calls it that. However, yes, it represents past lives and what you are familiar with, but not necessarily comfortable. If you killed someone in a past life, it's not so comfortable to have that person punish you in this lifetime (without knowing what for, of course, and thinking this life is soooo unfair!). South Node is a two-edged sword, both good and bad, but I see it mostly as bad because my memory of my mistakes has been erased and I don't know what the hell I;m paying for! Also, karmic events have the nasty habbit of coming upon one when he/she least expects it and cause great turbulence. This is why I see it as bad, I don't quite like karmic surprises
However, you still have about another year until Saturn reaches your Sun and Saturn, no reason to worry about this little mutable karmic T-cross.

Sorry to bring even more bad news, but Saturn will square your Venus, turn retro, then direct and so will square it 3 times . I got the same bad deal this spring/summer. It's a lonely time bleah... good thing it ends eventually!

Sometimes I think it is better that way. Knowing beforehand can lead to a lot of worrying and it might prove a self-fulfilling prophecy. I turn to transits when I want to better explain what I am going through, otherwise I prefer not to know. In this case, it just jump in from of my eyes and this kind of occurence I don't reject. I saw it for a reason.

Hmmmm Jan Spiller (im a big fan of hers) wrote this book called Karmic Astrology i believe and its all about North/South nodes. There was a discussion sowmere before ill try to find it She takes a more spiritual look at it and karma overall.

I definately agree with the random resurfacing of karma. Year??? Great...im oh so happy...in about a year Pluto finally ends the opposition to my Sun which lasted for like 10 years if im not mistaken...i was hoping for finally getting a breather....but no...T-square...wonderful. But its in my 11th house of friendship.

I like Jan Spiller's work too. I know there have been a few threads about this, and I read them, but I guess I am biased . I am going with my own life experience here.

Alia, what do you mean by opposition?
It is especially bad if you have a relationship. I broke up with my ex twice during that transit. But it is an eye opener, that Saturn!
If you don't have someone right now, it will either prevent you from having a relationship (though I don't take this approach with Saturn, I dunno why; I think he's better than that ), or you will have a pretty serious, potentially long lasting (we are talking about Saturn-Cronos here ) relationship.

However, it will teach you that you need to look at relationships with seriousness, patience and responsibility.

Seriously though, this tranit has me freakin' out but really because I remember my experiences with T-Saturn conjuncting my sun and it wasn't a walk in th epark. It seemed like I had walked under 7 ladders, and that a permament rain cloud was following me everywhere. Saturn connjuncting my moon only seems so much worse.

Im a little worried too. My moon is experiencing a Saturn opposition right now, it is exact in the 3rd week of October, along with the Nodal opposition/conjunction. Venus also conjuncts Saturn/south node mid October too! Saturn will also square my Nodes. Ah well, time to face the music it seems! There is no escape!
When it comes to Saturn, I find the best things to do is relax and accept his lovely lessons. Ah I love Saturn Grrr... Is it December yet???
