I'm not sure why this happens.. but I remember it happening to me as well, when I posted a link from astro.com. If anyone clicked the link it was as if they were logged into my astro.com account as *me*.. so I took the link down. It's probably a glitch in their system.

I have no idea who would've added the names of members here, to your list. That's a bit creepy. I didn't think anyone could add anything to a list that isn't theirs.

Anyways, it doesn't matter. In the future when you post your chart.. do it from photobucket, not directly from astro.com. You can save it onto your desktop or take a screen shot and then upload it at photobucket.com.. so you'll get a link for it and can post it with [ img ] [/ img] tags, as you would any other photo.

Other than that it's all good. Breathe in... Breathe out... Everything is ooook. Why are you so upset? Don't worry about it. Are you new to posting on a board? There are the occasional arguments and misunderstandings.. It happens.

Apparently someone did gain access to your astro.com account, while there... they added some members names from this site to the list of charts.
Some were titled/named thier lindaland name plus the words fake psychic.
It was tramatic to those who were listed... hurtful and mean.
They in turn and maybe others thought that you yourself had done this to mess with them or be mean.
The way this most likely happened was because you left your astro.com account logged into and then preceeded to post a link from there to here for chart viewing purposes. Not a good idea...
In the future it's a better idea to host the chart picture elsewhere and then link to it or post it directly to the page.

People here have had previous issues with other members and can easily feel violated and confused when things like this happen. Wondering whether or not you are the said previous member in disguise or if it really was a hacking event.
In either case the things were hurtful.

I hope this helps better explain the events of yesterdays drama...

Now onto resolution... Tell fayte.m, Acoustic God, etc. that your account was indeed hijacked. Then allow them time to heal. If you are sincere as you seem to be all will be fine.

Really, it will. I'm certain the members we're talking about are mature enough to recognize resolution as well as kind enough to move forward.

Yeah, this is probably what I did as well - when that happened.

Quazar, from your perspective it's all cool.. if this is what happened.. because they wouldn't have your password.. so if you don't post anything else here from astro.com directly.. you'll be fine. Take down the links you've posted so far. Other than that.. don't worry about it.

i think the rule is ..
never ever post the direct astro.com link to your chart ..
as that will allow anyone to get in there and change or create chart details ..

yep .. sounds or looks like someone was having a go at kf.fayte ..
i.e. trying to discredit them .. someone with a chip on their shoulder ..
there's definitley a few jerks who just like to provoke arguments around here ..

and this being a public site .. it could literaly be anyone veiwing ..
all they had to do was to clik on the chart link posted ..

If you ever post a link from Astro.com to a chart, the best thing to do is re-create that chart as the free chart they offer you before you even sign up for an account.

Yes, astro.com has been that way forever. If you leave a link to a chart in your own account, the entire world then has access to your account whether you are signed in or not. They were not designed for you to share links to your account, they might actually view it like the music business does about sharing music files without paying for them.

It's just something to be aware of and something that none of have thought about that way.

Quazar, I'm very sorry that happened to you. This is a public forum, therefore it's open to everyone and some people love starting flame wars no matter what site it's on. Just delete the accounts they started in your astro.com account and create another password, everything will be fine.

The great majority of people at this forum are extremely friendly and kind, there's only one or two fools here and it's best to just ignore them. We hope you come back.
