My impression has always been that aries people are more impulsive, fiery, outwardly aggressive and straightforward than scorpios. Aries has a certain innocence about them in the sense that what you see is what you get (or at least that's the vibe they give off). They tend to be blunt and straightforward, so you always know where you stand with them. Although they are quick to anger, they are also quick to forgive. Scorpios, at least in my experience, are slow to anger and have a hard time forgiving; they can spend years plotting revenge against someone. They have a more calculating nature than Aries and appear more complex. They are also very emotional since they are a water sign, but they lack the impulsive quality of an Aries since they plan ahead. In terms of similarities, Scorpios and Aries are both very passionate, loyal and never back down from a fight. IP: Logged |

quote: Scorpio Sun with Aries Moon, I'd think that this person is deep and intense, and also very self collected, yet his/her emotions might make him/her impulsive, childish and fiery.. He/she might find it hard to control all the intensity (of Aries' impulsiveness and fiery sides, and Scorpio intensity and trying to be self-controlled).. He/she can feel/see things in a strong and intense/extreme way. He/she can love someone deeply, yet it can make him/her lose control of his own emotions.. it can make him/her feel like a child in love, always acting impulsively coz of wanting to be with his/her loved one..
You nailed this one. Must be because of your chart. quote: Well said, Mustang I think we ought to note that for women, Mars can be the attributes/qualities we (think we) desire most in a man, whereas for men, Venus can be the attributes/qualities they (think they) desire most in a woman.....
Thank you :]I had a hard time explaining it because I'm tired and I feel more like talking than typing today...I always come on here when I'm beyond tired for some reason...You're right about the male/female thing too. IP: Logged |

My Venus is in Capricorn. I also have her Greek counterpart, Aphrodite, conjunct Saturn (in Virgo). So I think my Venus influence makes me astrologically incapable of being a **** . (Edit: I guess a better, non-censored word would be "promiscuous".)It also attracts me to men with strong character. Traits that most people agree are admirable, I also find arousing. Nice guys with a backbone are my type. IP: Logged |

What about Juno? quote: JUNO in the horoscope gives a good indication of the kind of marriage partner that we need and will get. Not the partner we think we want (those are ruled by Venus and Mars), but the one we need and actually wind up with. Let's get things straight here before we go into the details about Juno in your horoscope. Venus and Mars show what we consider to be our ideal man or woman. The Fifth House describes the type of people we tend to get involved with romantically. The Seventh House tells us the kind of person our first marriage partner will be (and the 9th house describes our 2nd marriage partner, if any). Juno works on a more fundamental level.

I think your whole chart affects your love nature. The signs are only part of the story; you'll also want to study the aspects.I've often read that Venus functions differently for men & women, showing what men are attracted to and how women express love. In my experience, I haven't found it that clear cut. Maybe for both men & women, we're attracted to the type who we feel will accept the way we express love & will express it back to us in that way? I am attracted to Capricorn traits. But I have my Mars in Virgo, so maybe it's actually Virgo traits that I'm attracted to? I also have a Taurus Dsc., so it's hard for me to know what in my chart makes me attracted to earth traits. For sexual & romantic feelings, I would look at someone's Venus & Mars, and signs on the asc/dsc axis & the 5th and 8th houses. I also use the Eros asteroid (433), don't know if you're into asteroids though. If you are, Juno is another one worth checking out. Moon and Sun are both very important too. They're such strong influences on a person's character, that the things listed above will be influenced by the Sun & Moon signs. IP: Logged |

I agree. No single aspect or placement can explain why you do this or that or feel the way you do. Like in my own case, I have both Venus and Mars in Libra in the 7th house. Venus in Libra in the 7th would suggest that I am attracted to Libras. But I've never been romantically attracted to Libras or people with strong Libra influences. They are great friends, but I don't feel any attraction. However, I do act very Libran in personal relationships. Mars in the 7th house would suggest that I am attracted to Aries, but to be perfectly honest I can't picture myself being with anyone with strong Aries influences. Aries kind of intimidate me. I have Virgo on the DC, Pluto and (depending on the house system) also Saturn are in the 7th house and Cancer is on the 5th house cusp. I do find myself very attracted to people with strong Capricorn and Virgo traits. And I quite like water sign influences in men (except for Scorpio ... I don't get along with them). But I have no earth in my chart, so this might play a part in my attraction to earth signs as well. And since I have Pisces rising I tend to feel very comfortable in the presence of other water signs and also earth signs. IP: Logged |

Well said, Jane! I was thinking the same thing...I think it's about the aspects in the natal chart, not just the signs they're in.For example, I have venus in Aquarius and I'm NOT a commitment-phobe...more commitment-seeking, really! lol But I think that has to do with the aspects to other planets and the placement in the chart. It seems the more I learn about astrology, the more I realize that these generalizations about the signs are just too, well, general! lol ------------------ Sun - Capricorn (10th House) Moon - Gemini (2nd House) Mercury - Sagittarius (9th House) Venus - Aquarius (11th House) Mars - Aries (12th House) ASC - Aries IP: Logged |

"For example, I have venus in Aquarius and I'm NOT a commitment-phobe...more commitment-seeking" Venus in Aqua here and I agree with this for myself..But what my Venus in Aqua does is seeks out distanct guys, guys that don't declair their love for me real easy. I like to be drawn out. But when I find the guy that can do that I go after them with my Mars in Aries with determination and I want them quickly when I decide I indeed want them..But once I get that kind of guy my Pisces Sun kicks in and I want the emotional closeness and stuff but I have fallen for this aloof detach guy already..Hmmm it remains a mystery to me... Mama Mia! I TOTALLY understand that, as I also have my mars in Aries! I definitely seem to attract these guys who are somewhat aloof. I also have Uranus in Libra in the the 7th house in mutual reception with Venus in Aquarius in the 11th house. Sometimes I wonder if I'll EVER catch my guy! PChick: I know right, wish I knew how to get around this..See I have moon, merc, venus and rising in Aqua..How do I not attract the aloof type..Maybe if there was more water I would better understand..Or maybe I should and you to learn how to tame our Mars in Aries..Hold out more...I don't know I have to think about it some more..LOL!!! You're both right (other Venusian Aquarians). My comment was pretty ambiguous. I do crave committment (Cancer rising?), but I'm scared to enter relationships (Moon in Pisces?)... I close myself up/get haughty/drive them away intentionally once things get hot.It could just be my own personal life experiences, but many of the Venus/Aquarius descriptions in books and online apply to me. I think I just had a revelation about how my Mars must tie into who I'm attracted to based on what Mustang and Zala said/clarified. I always wondered why I wasn't attracted to Aries/Scorpios since my Venus is in Aries and Mars in Scorpio. BUT what I do ALWAYS have in my synastries are lots of Pluto/8th house connections. I thought it was because of my moon, but Mars being in Scorpio could also indicate my attraction to intense connections...is that correct? (I usually have Moon/Pluto connections.)Sidenote...If only I could apply myself to cleaning my house as much as I do to learning more about astrology! 8th IP: Logged |

Hey Mama Mia. Yeah, I think those placements would definitely attract you to the aloof guys. I'm not sure how to handle it, either. I think maybe YOUR mars may be better equipped than mine, though, because I forgot to mention my mars is in the 12th house. So, I'm aggressive but it's more "behind the scenes" so to speak. Hey kfn327. I'm not saying that I don't have some of the characteristics that "the books" mention about venus in aquarius, I just don't think it's as simple as that. I see what you're saying about your other planets, and you may be onto something. But I wonder what aspects venus makes in your chart? IP: Logged |

I know someone that is an Aqua with moon in Capricorn and venus in Aqua and he had a hard time with commitment and loyalty. Why is that? Is it the Aqua sun? IP: Logged |
