What do you know about least aspected planets?? Does this make them more or less powerful in a person's life? What would the effect be of a Sun with only 1 major aspect? I know someone who only has Sun sextile Jupiter. Would this make him more or less consumed with his ego? IP: Logged |

I would think less powerful because the influence would be limitedIP: Logged |

I think the opposite, less prominent. The Sun won't shine as brightly as aspected Sun. Aspects make it stronger, especially conjunctions.Actually, what do you think? How strongly do you identify with your star sign? IP: Logged |

When a planet is unaspected, it works on its pure energy (the very Sun-ness of the Sun, so to speak). That planet usually works very hard to be a part of the chart, so it's often noticeable. An unaspected Sun would make the ego more prominent. If the planet has just one aspect, that planet's energies can lack direction. In that case, the planet is weakened. However, if the planet is not challenged somehow by the sole aspect, it can "take over" the chart without any contest. For a question regarding ego in a person with Sun only sextile Jupiter, you really need to look at what sign the Sun is in and what house (as well as Jupiter). IP: Logged |

Yes, I am wrong thenI didn't know this. So, unaspected planets let themselves be known. Astralmuse, what does usaspected Neptune means? WIll this person be very spiritual and open-minded? IP: Logged |

Unaspected Neptune would have free reign in imagination, inspiration, visions, fantasies. I would *guess* that a person with an unaspected Neptune would be open-minded and spiritually-oriented... But it would be difficult to say for certain without knowing where Neptune is placed and also what else is in the chart (especially within the 5th, 9th, and 12th houses, and Mercury/Saturn/Pluto's locations).IP: Logged |

Astralmuse, thank you! This person being a Taurus has a lot of Cancer (Moon, Saturn and Mars conjunction in 12th house). So I was afraid that he is too serious and self-absorbed. Since his Neptune is unaspected I also thought he's not romantic and close-minded. I look at it differently now :) He's open-minded (unaspected Neptune)! and spiritual (packed 12th house) ! and romantic (Cancer Moon) ! Thank you IP: Logged |

Interesting. So what I read is true. The person I know with this lack of placements has his unaspected Sun in Scorpio (although it does conjunct Juno...not sure if other bodies count here) and sextiles Jupiter in Capricorn.I find him to be very much in his own ego and I wondered if the unaspected Sun might be part of the reason why. Thanks Edit: Also, Sun is in the 8th and Jupiter in the 10th. IP: Logged |
