I don't know if you're an astrologer because I'm somewhat new here and just read your story on the other board so I've added some astrological jargon and definitions in case you don't know what I'm talking about.

In Medical Astrology, a Libra Ascendant, it can be suggestive of back problems, lower back problems, kidney issues or hemorrhoids. In the natal chart, often the Mid-heaven Axis (the line from the Midheaven/10th house down to the IC 4th house) represents the spine. Since the IC is ruled by Saturn (Capricorn), I’m thinking that his serious problems might have started during his Saturn Return. It continued on to July 2002 when transiting Saturn squared his Sun in the Health Center 12th house. Then Saturn moved on to square Mercury in the 12th which rules the 12th and is at 1 degree Libra, which equals more health under attack and since Mercury is in Libra, this may give us more aggravation of back nerves and pain as well as nutrition or stomach problems.

I know that in 2003 through 2004 Saturn transited over his MC (the spine again) while also squaring his Libra Ascendant (the back again). Not only that, once it was through hitting MC and ASC, it then moved on to square the Moon and Chiron. The Moon rules the MC (the spine again) and many astrologers who use Chiron believe that it rules Virgo, which is your husbands Health Center 12th house again. His back has been under almost constant attack since 2002 is my assumption and opinion.


He has Pluto square Saturn in his natal chart plus Saturn conjunct Nodal Axis. He may have always had a sensitive back. For those who believe that physical illness is connected to emotional issues, I venture to say that it’s all connected to issues with his mother or maternal authority figure who was very powerful and was in complete control of his early home life, she wore the pants in the family. I think this relationship was extremely difficult for him.

Currently he has transiting Pluto quindecile MC (Mid-heaven). The Quindecile is an aspect measuring 165 degrees and is incredibly strong and stressful. Pluto suggests incredible pressure and destruction for renewal. Pluto just moved from the exact measurement of 27 degrees to his MC at 12 degrees. However, Pluto is still in orb of that aspect. I think that Mars retrograde crossing his MC triggered the quindecile and his latest trip to the doctor to get the diagnosis. My other thought is that Jupiter is coming to the rescue for him. I don’t want to assume that Jupiter always rescues one in these situations for Jupiter has also been known to suggest rapid tumor growth, but from your description of the doctors latest prognosis, I’m thinking that Jupiter is helping here. Jupiter and Pluto will be conjunct on December 11th and in Jupiter’s own sign of Sagittarius. As long as Jupiter remains benevolent and spiritual, I think it’s one of the best astrological events that could happen for him. What an incredible blessing and I think you are receiving an abundance of prayers and healing vibrations and light from many people, including the wonderful people who frequent the Linda Goodman website. May you both have continued success with his healing process.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do that for me! Your explanation fits right in with what the doctor told us. She said there's no way to be exactly sure, but that it may have been in his back for about 6 years. It's pretty amazing what astrology can tell you.

Don't worry about being in a hurry for my chart at all. I'm grateful you could look at Kevin's.
