Heart Cakes,

What you said spells out my libra grandma.

"...
i feel like the balancing is an obsession with her. but i think they are dual-minded. when she is presented with something lovely and harmonious, she finds a flaw in it to complain about. when you say something negative about your life (even if it is in a positive context), she jump on you for it for the fact that you are complaining. i find it exhausting, to be honest. it's like the obsession is an obsession with the thought process OF balancing within themselves and hasn't got much to do with objective reality, necessarily. THEN AGAIN i am just basing it on this one girl i know. i know VERY few other libras (and i'm talking, old aquaintances; she is the only one i know nowadays). i also find them (her) argumentative for the sake of arguing, it seems. and she will lead me into weird scenarios where she complains about something and then as soon as i agree with part of what she is saying, in empathy, she will totally take the opposite view and get upset with me and what i've just agreed with as though i was the one to say it in the first place and it totally offended her! i dunno. it's confusing. but she calls me like all the time whenever we hang out (even though i feel like i'm always upsetting her?!) and the more i sort of ignore her a bit, the sweeter and kinder she gets.. till i hang out with her again and she disagrees with almost everything i say! hahaha..

and, just like all air signs, libras do have emotions. they just default into thinking. just like water signs are able to think and not just feel.. etc.
"

She complains alot but its mainly because of her stuburn Taurus and she is unbalanced.

I was scratching my head when i was looking for towels and she had a padlook on the closet.

Then i rembered it was because of her "irreconcilable differences" with Mr Taurus.

Even at her age it just doesn't make any sense why you whould want to be fueding in your final days.

Now i did work for a female libra once but she was intrestingly diffrent, she whould tend to spend more time crying about things both at work and in her personal life then complaing.

Contary to another libra i worked with that whould ***** and wine and pick fights with everyone, but thats because of his virgo aspects in his chart, he was just as critical as Andy Roony on 60 minutes.

So there is more to your chart, but for the general libra Heart Cakes is right its just Air Signs Deal with emotion diffrently,

both my mom and dad are Cancers and my mom spends almost always crying... were i tend to feel it..but i don't exactly express it outwardly or show it..sometimes people even have to guess somethings wrong....

For example all normally be talkative or be vary lively then just be quiet and carry on and don't say anything, obviously something is wrong...

My Libra Buddy from high school, who all be picking up Boxing Day bargins with is like that also and i know some aquas that can be like that also.

But then again i can't comment all air signs i tend to always bump into Aqua Females and Libra Males, i don't know that many Libra Females and Aqua Males.

Libra Sun/Asc and Uranus in Libra here. Never been accused of being selfish though. And never has it been mine and his,I've always seen everything as ours.

As for successful relationships? or lack thereof? I've always attributed that lack to my Aries(R) in Saturn in my 7th.

Sun-Libra
Moon-Capricorn
Asc-Libra
Mercury-Scorpio
Venus-Scorpio
Mars-Virgo
Jupiter-Virgo
Saturn-Aries
Uranus-Libra
Neptune-Scorpio

Hi MB,

I thought my ex's mom was a Libra til I just ran her chart. She has a Virgo sun at 29.5 degrees...and a stellium in Libra of her Mercury, Neptune, Chiron, Mars, and Jupiter. She idealizes her husband of 23 years and treats him like gold. They still adore eachother after all of this time. She wouldn't be caught dead complaining about him or their relationship in any way. As a matter of fact, she'll defend or make excuses for him if he does something wrong.

To back up the conversation about the debating to see all sides of an issue to judge if it's fair...yes that's very true and this family is like the Libran debating team of New England.

My ex was an Aries/Libra moon, his brother was a Libra and so was his nephew. (Poor Dad was a Virgo sun Cancer moon and I think he felt like the odd man out most of the time.)

I have Libra rising, Pisces sun and Gem moon. The Libra debates usually started around the dinner table. After they were all finally over, their Dad would shoot me a look and smile...and I could see how the family dynamic worked.

You mentioned that you have 6 planets in Scorpio and can therefore detect Libran selfishness. Can you explain that further? It seems to me that unless you have some air in your chart the sign's traits would seem foreign to you...not easier to detect. To me, this would make Plutonic energy easier to understand than that of Libra.

Also, and I mean this in all fairness (no pun intended ), isn't being an astrologer with a prejudice against air signs kind of like working for a civil rights organization and being prejudice against certain races?

Just a thought...

8th

Melody, I've wondered if you struggled with that at times.
Your honesty was refreshing to read.

Bingo – Well said!!! That kind of bias, negativity and Gloom and Doom Astrology is what sends people to this board after seeing uneducated, intolerant, inexperienced and bigoted "professional" astrologers -- and that kind of bias is what gives ALL professional astrologers a bad name in the eyes of people who know very little about astrology. I have nothing but disgust for such “professionals.”

Zala Speaking of pleasant company and great ego stroking... (well, aside from the very recent vomiting ^ lol) I am so glad I got to see your compassion and warm heart from the very beginning fellow aries moon baby-momma.

Heart cakes, you make me want to make copies of this and send it out in next year's Christmas cards. hehe

I haven't had the time to read the whole thread (I'm going on vacation tomorrow morning so I should start packing soon, seeing as it's already evening )

but I ought to say: I'm sorry but I have seen nothing of the sort that you describe as typical libra behaviour. I do not know a libra (I think??) with an aries moon, but I do know one with a sagg one and at least that's fiery too? But well it's not something I've experienced with libra suns or moons, or aires suns or moons so no. I would not say it's libra behaviour and it would surprise me if it had much to do with the aries moon too... Although, of course, some really bad connection between the libra sun and the aries moon I would know nothing about.

Ah sorry I'm talking gibberish here... I just felt like I had to defend libras... Because one of my bestfriends is one, and I NEVER ever heard a word of complaining from her.

LIBRA Sun, Asc, Merc & Neptune here with Moon in Cap, here

I can be extraordinarily self-absorbed, self-centered, &, yes, SELFISH....there, I've SAID it!!!!! ---this mostly happens when I feel insecure and, or, threatened.

I have to also admit to complaining vociferously every chance I get...I can be a real B**** at times. I don't think it's because of my astrological sign.

Re. that SCORPIO affliction...I have Venus in Scorpio, so I usually attract them (Scorpios, that is...)--They do their best to TAME me & CHANGE me. When that doesn't work...they go out into the world and give me bad press---like you're doing to all LIBRAs right now.
