I have moon and jupiter in my 4H of Sag. Everything I read up on it says how I want a big lavish home to live in and how I cherish my family ties, in fact nothing can be further from the truth. I've always felt the need to "run away" from my home life and my jupiter and moon in there is supposed to symbolize fond memories of childhood. I could never be happy at home with my family.Any other 4H Sags feel this way? Instead of feeling lucky at home you feel the need for space and personal freedom?

I agree with youI have Jupiter conjunct IC in Sagittarius When I was a kid,I fantasized about travelling to other countries and even living in them. Even thought about marrying a foreigner with my 7th house ruler Neptune in Sagittarius. I was in the navy for 7 years, and I went to other countries during WESTPAC. I joined the US Navy to see the world among other things. I feel that it reflects my multiracial background, family I am Black,Portuguese,English,German,French,Italian,Puerto Rican,Native American, and Jewish. I even had half Japanese stepsisters. I plan on moving from California to the East Coast to be with my girlfriend, and that's long distance.
My 7th house ruler Neptune in Sagittarius can indicate my interracial relationship. my girlfriend is white. Jupiter is also traditional ruler of Pisces, and so my 7th house ruler Jupiter in Sagittarius can also be an indicator of my interracial relationship. IP: Logged |

Leocat. Saggitarius encompasses broad thinking and freedom to the upmost. this explains your need to get away from home and be on your own. your moon or jupiter might intensify it. I also have my IC (4th house ruler) in Sag. I wanna sever the ties from family and the home as well. IP: Logged |

I know, it's not quite the same but I think it's similar to your charts ... I have my IC in Gemini with its ruler Mercury in Sagittarius in the 9th house tightly conjunct Jupiter. I have always had the strong need to live abroad. And I intend to put that plan into action after my graduation from college. It's not so much my family that I want to run away from but the society of this country. I don't like the mentality of the people here. Mercury is also the ruler of my 7th house ... I've always felt more attracted to guys whose cultural background was different from my own. Now, my SO and I are from different countries. Our upbringing was really quite different ... but that's a whole other story. Maybe we should open a thread on indicators that one would marry a foreigner or something like that My mom has her IC in Sag with her Sun in the 4th as well. She started going to boarding school when she was like 15 or so. And actually she never returned to stay in her home town. She now lives pretty far away from where she was raised. And the thing I mentioned about not getting along with the mentality of people around here rings true for her as well. ------------------ Sagittarius Sun - Leo Moon - Pisces Ascendant IP: Logged |

Ooooh interesting insight. 7H ruler in 9th house in Sag of all things, it's so interesting how it rings so true for you, for all of us really. Sounds like you'll most definitely marry a foreigner. ;-)My Venus is in 9H though I've never had any special interest in anything 9H, still trying to figure her out. Thank you Sag! IP: Logged |

I feel the same way i have sagittarius on the 4th with a stellium with my sun, mercury, mars, and venus. I always think about how the 4th house doesn't reflect me because i couldn't wait to get away from my oppressive home and hate my relatives IP: Logged |

I'm also a 4H Sagittarius. My family moved a lot when I was a child... I find that I still subconsciously expect to move, and I don't like getting invested in a single place. My apartment right now is pretty sparsely furnished, and the only thing I couldn't leave behind is my computer/hard drives.IP: Logged |

I have Sagittarius in 4th house, with Saturn, Neptune and Uranus thereI have strange feelings when it comes to home. for many years of my teenage I was trying to runaway from home, family, ties everything. I'm a lone-wolf kind (Aries Sun) but for about sometime I have been more in love with my family and home. I cannot imagine going away from my parents or my home, its my personal Heaven, and yet sometimes I imagine moving away for a while, but eventually coming back. so yes, it can mean I love my home, family, but according to my moods and I need space and my personal freedom which my parents very gladly allow me! I have Moon in Cap in 4th ruled by Sag. Look first to your 1st house to see what affects your general outlook. Even with heavy earth in my chart, I still have an un-materialist outlook, partly because of Uranus in my 1st house. This planet urges us to value the trans-personal spontaneous connections we have with all that is - energetically. Material things tend to weigh down a person and place a drag on mobility. This can be said also for Aquarius types very often who are more interested in the world through ideational-social connections than material or institutional ones.
