I have Virgo Ascendant and I don't think he is Virgo rising. There is just something that doesn't "click", though of course I could be wrong. He seems to be the type whose Ascendant is difficult to guess, not knowing his moon sign doesn't help either. There is something about him that distantly reminds me of Simon Cowell for some reason...IP: Logged |

DainBramaged - Good call with Virgo! I can definitely see that with HR, but what's excited me even more is that I'm now sure that's the Asc of the old Taurus coworker of mine who resembled HR. Virgo Rising fits his personality perfectly and the house overlays with that Asc describe our interaction very well.I had never thought of Virgo Rising for the Taurus guy or HR b/c I had associated that asc with a more delicate physical appearance--Montgomery Clift, Ewan McGregor. Mr BM certainly is not delicate in appearance. Heavy featured, tripod-shaped. Thinking of it, Rollins looks tripod shaped. Simon Cowell too - that may be the explanation for the trousers -lacking in waist and rear-end -got to keep them up somehow. IP: Logged |

Simon Cowell probably does not have the ascendant in Virgo, though (he just has placement in virgo). HR may not have a delicate APPEARANCE..in a picture maybe  But his ways of acting sure are delicate. Very delicate. In the video which someone at the beginning of the thread posted you can see how hesitant and non-assertive he very much is. That is pretty much what I think of when I think of Virgo rising and "delicateness" ..non-assertiveness. Virgo suns have that too somewhat, you can see their actions look pretty pre-meditated and calculated, making them look hesitant and non-assertive sometimes. The virgo sun definitely has a "delicate" look to them, though. Of course, that could also be mixed in or balanced out with other signs in the chart, but in general that's a virgo sun looks somewhat shy and even demure. They may not be at all, though, especially since they are mutable. Think of Marc Anthony--he looks so "delicate" and shy and sensitive, but he is quite extroverted, witty, and expressive sometimes! The virgo rising looks very different to the saggitarius rising, for example. The sagg rising is much more fearless in the face of danger and risk! and their way of acting is definitely not non-assertive or hesitant. The leo rising definitely does not suit HR. Just by the expression in his eyes, you can see he is not all too full of himself like that. Leo risings usually have a thick neck, a big head, hehe, bald early, and just have a very sunny, confident and just generally impressive apppearance overall. The men sometimes appear very arrogant just by the look in their eyes, and they way they stand/walk/ and act in general.IP: Logged |

Accorging to http://famous-relationships.topsynergy.com/Simon_Cowell/ Cowell has a Libra sun with Sagg rising and Sagg moon with Venus in Virgo and Mars in Libra. I was going with Aries rising initially, but then I took a look at their page in LibraRising.com and they look too aggressive/insensitive i.e.
 Then I looked at the Sagg risings and he does seem to fit in better there

LOL!!! I could totally see Virgo rising (or some major Virgo aspect) after watching that youtube video you posted Bluemoon. Large vocabulary- check. Enjoys reading and history and essentially being well-learned- check. Detail-oriented in description- check. Tells it like it is-check. (Also, for some reason, the way he delivers his jokes reminds me of Lewis Black and the way he delivers his jokes; Lewis Black is a Virgo comedian). If not a Virgo rising, I would say that could potentially be a Scorpio thing (I've known a couple of Scorpios who have a great love of history), but I don't know if that's his sun sign or what. I didn't look. He is very funny though. I may have to go hunt down some more of his stand-up. ------------------
