Since you are on an astrology discussion forum, I'll say it this way. The Synastry Chart is reflecting his feelings and possibly yours as well. You might want to consider that if he couldn't even show up for one date, then that report is correct, this is way too painful for him to even approach and I'll tell you why.

Two aspects tell the entire story. That stellium that's formed in Scorpio is so much profound power, control and hostility. He naturally has the Mars-Saturn conjunction which is highly suggestive of brutality he has experienced in his life, possibly at the hands of his father, never the less that is a volatile spot in his chart. Then here comes your Sun-Pluto conjunction right on top of it, Pluto magnifies that spot in his chart as if several nuclear bombs hit it. His Saturn rules his 5th house of romantic sexuality and Mars rules his 8th house which is the other strong house of sexuality, so he does have an attraction to you, all of this is happening in Scorpio with your two most powerful planets sitting on his very difficult romance and sexuality planets.

This is painful for him in more ways than just not being able to get together with YOU, it may be difficult for him to get together with anyone, but I can't say that without having a conversation with him.

The other aspect is the opposition of his Sun-Venus conjunction to your Saturn-Uranus conjunction. There's love and affection there, but there is also controls placed on a relationship trying to get off the ground. Uranus opposite Venus may be exciting but eccentric feeling, as well as your Uranus opposing his Sun has an electrical eccentric feel as well.

His Neptune opposing his Sun and Venus suggests that he has confusion and suppressive feelings around love and relationships anyway.

His chart suggests that he's got a myriad of issues he's dealing with that has absolutely nothing to do with you. But you are both connected somehow.

I won't advise you not to get involved because I'm not God, but if it continues just as an obsession and you never start an actual relationship, I'd give myself a time limit for how long you feel this should go on before you move on. Just because you're obsessed doesn't mean that you're stuck in it.

That Scorpionic conjunction you both have, the absolute worst case scenario looks like violence. You may already feel some of the possibility.

Please let me know if I'm wrong about this stuff, but please respond to let me know if any of this was on the mark. My highest wish is that something works out, even if it doesn't look the way society thinks things should look. I hope he can work through the issues that are suggested in his chart. It looks like he's had a tough life so far.

Thanks for the compliment and yes, I've had a friendship/employer whose Sun conjuncted my Pluto and unless you are willing to build a new empire or your own version of "The Death Star", even a more benevolent pink and lavender colored star, then you have power stuggles that don't feel good. Our conjunction was in Virgo, I can't begin to imagine what it must be like in Scorpio, but then again, Astrology can surprise you.
