Zala,

thank you for the links.

Personally I appreciate Duads very much, since it adds some nuances to the sign-placements.

I also found that it`s especially enlightening in synastries.

Yes, I think Dwads are very interesting in synastry.
But I`d always see them in connection to the sign they are in. I also think, that the ruler of the planets may be important.

For example: I have Venus in Capricorn in Pisces Dwad and the ruler Saturn is in Cancer.
So, I would say t hat under the Capricorn-outside of my Venus, there`s some Pisces / Cancer influence, too.
And this modifies my Capricorn-Venus quite a bit; my Capricorn-Venus is also different from other Capricorn-Venuses (we should ask Jane about hers).

Also, this Capricorn - Pisces - Cancer influence is reflected in my synastries. I ONLY feel attracted to men, who have a Water or Earth Venus, prefereably in Taurus, Capricorn, Pisces or Scorpio. It happened too often to be a coincidence.

Also, you can erect a DWAD chart and see where your Venus would fall int hat chart, in my case 13° Pisces; it`s an instrument for finetuning, because the whole sign of Pisces in the DWAD charts only occupies 2,5° in the normal tropical chart (5° 7,5° Capricorn) - it means that one degree in the DWADS equals 5 minutes in the normal chart. For example: 5°00 Capricorn = 00° Pisces in Dwad
5°10 Capricorn = 02° Pisces in Dwad and so on.

I noticed that I sometimes start liking men who have something on 11° - 13° Virgo (Venus or Mars), and these degrees are opposite my Dwad Venus and my Jupiter, which is ruler of Sun, Mercury, Mars, ASC.

thanks for the link ill check it out,
oh and I just checked out the "free interactive chart" thread and when you generate the chart it tells you which decan and dwad the planets are in! its much faster/easier - for me at least

I put my dwads on my chart. Interesting stuff. It's nice to see sextiles between some of my natals and their associated dwads. My Capricorn Sun's dwad is in Pisces. My Scorpio Mars' dwad is in Virgo.

I think my Mercury dwad makes sense being in Gemini. To me, my Mercurial nature is beyond question.

The Cancerian influence is an interesting one. I think I'm more taken by all the action in the 2nd house (as I believe that's another house having to do with music). I'm not sure if it's really proper to put dwads on your natal chart like I did, but I was curious.

AG,

I would love to talk about Dwads, I`m just a bit busy at the moment.

However, I find them fascinating, especially if you compare them in synastry.
Sometimes your partner`s planets in signs will reflect your Dwads and vice versa, which could make a connection between the two of you, which can`t be seen otherwise.

In a natal chart Dwads could add a subtle influence to your signs.
In my chart I have Sun in Sagittarius and Dwad is Libra; I think I`m probably very different from another Sun in Sagittarius with Dwad in Cancer for example.
Also, my natal Venus is in Capricorn and the Dwad is Pisces, so it adds some dreamy influence to my rather grounded Capricorn-Venus.

BTW how did you manage to include your Dwads in your normal chart on astro.com?

I'm sorry. I completely forgot to check back here today.

If only they would! No, I took my chart into my graphics program (Macromedia Fireworks). I created the signs of the planets using font ET Symbol in my word processor. Then I set my graphics program to the same font for text, and just copied and pasted the text onto my chart. You can see that the Moon sign is above the text where it should probably be underneath it (so it would kind of match the Sun up top), but I didn't bother redoing it. (Also if you notice, my math is a little off as I had figured out my own equation before reading how to convert the minutes. Jupiter, for instance, is actually 16.75 degrees, and not properly written as 16 degrees 45 minutes.)

Initially, I was going to try to create a whole new chart with my dwads, but then I realized that there was no way to rectify house cusps. As you can see my Ascendant and Midheaven are in the same sign.

So... anyone want to opine on whether it makes sense to put dwads on a chart to see what inferences might be made?

I read that dwads reflect the inner, and as such their influence grows stronger as you get older. Could that mean that as I get older I'll put more concentration on Cancer in the 2nd house (i.e. more materialistic, security, and home oriented)? Could my actions (Mars) allign more and more with my native emotional nature (as my Mars dwad rests close to my natal Moon)?

Sorry, AG,

now I forgot to check back.

However, it seems like a lotta work including the Dwads in your chart-drawing. So, I guess, I will stick with just calculating them and drawing them by hand.

I don`t know if you`ll express your Dwads more strongly when you get older. Actually I think they are a constant trait, just like your normal sign placements. Only like some kind of "undercurrent" or subtle influence, which can modify your sign-placements.

At least I donīt feel more Piscean as I am getting older; I have felt rather Piscean in certain areas my whole life long.

Now that you mention it... Maybe it`s really an expression, describing my Plutonic Neptunian side (Pluto on the MC square Venus and sextile Neptune on the ASC) .

Regarding Dwads:
Did you check the synastry with your girlfriend? Do you have interesting connections between Dwads and the tropical signs?
