Some famous granny grabbers:

Patrick Dempsey was married to Rocky Parker, 27 years his senior, for 5 years - 13 January 1966

Maxwell Caulfield has been married to Juliet Mills, 18 years his senior, for 28 years - 23 November 1959

John Lydon a.k.a Johnny Rotten is married to Nora Forster who is 15 years his senior, not sure how long, since at least the early 80s -31 January 1956

Not a marriage this, but there is the infamous incident where Colin Farrell (31 May 1976) propositioned Dame Eileen Atkins, 42 years his senior. She turned him down. It did take her three hours to say no, though.

Don't forget Randy Travis and Lib Hatcher. I hope it's not true that he's gay and she's just cover but if not they've been together at least 25.

25 years is a long time to be acting as a cover. They must be happy together on some level.

Ok your forgetting the most obvious example Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore...

and yes an older woman dating a younger man is more acceptable then an older man going after a younger woman. with a older guy its more like predator and prey. and of course the young stupid girl is the prey being overwhelmed by and older more intimidating man. but its different with older woman because women arent seen as very threatening but when she is older then the man its just different because hes not exactly on her level so it could be intimidating but he is a man and well its more like a predator - predator instead anybody being prey. and besides look at what an older single man would represent. a guy who either A. Couldnt keep his marriage together and so got divorced and now isnt attracted to the mature women his age B. A guy who cant fool the women his age so he goes to the younger ones to take advantage of. Men who go after significantly younger woman really are when looked at in depth sleezy, immature, cowardish, conartists.

but when women do this it is perfectly acceptable

my husband started our relationship when it seemed that everyone was doing it

cameron diaz...justin timberlake
courtney cox...david arquette
demi moore...ashton kutcher

all our friends though thought we were not going to make it...now nearly 9 yrs later they all are speaking a different tune 3 of our friends are now in relationships with older woman and quite happy

is it our generation that finally realized that age is just a number that love doesn't know no numbers it knows feelings, beliefs, ideas, etc.

i cannot imagine my life without my younger guy...granted i had to wait a few years before he matured, wait a few years to let him grow up, wait a few years before he could say that he wanted to be a family man...well worth the wait.

I can concur with the Venus in Cap liking older more mature women but we are also attracted to younger women who we think we can stabilise.

Just don't seem to find women in between ? Younger women irritate us tho

One astrologer wrote that Taurus and Scorpio are the signs least likely to be concerned by age differences.

I've generally dated guys bwn 2-6 years older than I. I had one relationship with a guy a few years younger but the age difference wasn't appreciable at all.

Now that I'm in my mid 30s, I find I'm more attracted to younger men, simply because I'm finding that men my age and slightly older have become totally boring and obsessed with work/money and thus have no time to invest in cultivating a relationship, or conversely they never grew up and seemingly never will.

Michael Douglas - September 25, 1944
Catherine Zeta-Jones - Septmeber 25, 1969

There's is something that makes me insecure when dating younger guys, and something that creeps me out about dating older guys.

My 7th house ruler is Taurus, and in it resides Chiron. Venus thus rules my 7th house.

These are the actvities of Chiron in 7th:

1. Taurus Chiron(7th) is square my Virgo Venus (11th) because Chiron is almost in Gemini (on the Gemini Cusp.)

2. Taurus Chiron (7th)is trine my Virgo Sun (11th),

3. Tauris Chiron (7th) is opposed my Scorpio Mars (1st)

4. Taurus Chiron (7th) is opposed Sag Uranus near Sag cusp (in 1st)

5. Taurus Chiron (7th) is sextile my Cancer Moon (10th)

Taurus Chiron (7th) is sextile my Cancer MC.

Excuse me being too explanatory and repetitive, but it is my way of learning).

The oldest guy I ever dated was 6 years older than me. It didn't last because he insisted that his age meant something - as far as maturity, intelligence and wisdom is concerned - with which I begged to differ. He didn't creep me out because he was just like guys my age, I suppose, so I didn't see any age difference, except for acting like my father.

The youngest guy I have ever dated was a year younger than I was. It also didn't last because I felt as if I was baby-sitting. He lacked confidence and I seriously can't be telling someone, a hundred times, that "age doesn't matter" and that I am with them because I desire to. Reassuring the younger man became draining. He made me insecure because he was insecure.

I felt guilty about burdening him with my mental anxieties and problems, and we couldn't connect because I was working when he was still in college. He went on and on about how he is always broke because he is a student, and how he can't take me out or buy me flowers as often as he'd like. I got sick and tired of the whining because I knew that in the first place, and it wasn't an issue with me.

What I hate about older guys:

1. They can be bossy, and I can't be bossed around. They end up feeling undermined by me because I will not just take instructions unless they make sense to me.

2. Older guys make me feel uncomfortable because they think younger women are impressed with their money. It might be true but I am not. So, I get irritated when they start making me feel as if they are buying me, or bribing me. Creepy.

3. Older men make feel pressured. They want too much too soon, marriage, sex, overseas trips, etc. Creepy once again.

What I like about Older guys

1. Confidence!
2. Feeling safe and knowing that there is someone who can handle me. As in, someone I can talk to and be understood. (not always though)

What I hate about young guys

1. They are insecure and jealous. It becomes a crime to entertain clients.
2. They are restless and erratic, almost impatient. They can't be still, even if they are the calm ones. What's so wrong about making dinner and staying in. Do we have to always be chasing a party?
3. They are so idealistic, it hurts.
4. They are clingy.
5. They sulk a lot, and sulking is my thing.

What I like about young guys

1. They are open-minded
2. Willing to please and willing to learn.
3. Easily pleased.
4. Tolerant.

So, for me to date a younger person, he has to be strong, confident and more stable. he must also look my age, be responsible and have some order and direction in his life, because I am the unfocused on in any relationship.

For me to date an older guy, they must lighten up and be less judgmental, assuming, and chauvinistic. Just because they are older doesn't automatically make older people more evolved, but the older men I have run into seem to think so.

This is all based on my experiences. I am not generalizing.
3.

I have Gemini ruling my 5th house. My ex was a Gemini, and had a fwb that was 10 years younger that lasted over a year. I am NOT physically attracted to men 4+ years older than me. I limited myself to men only 3 or so years younger, because *I* get insecure.

Having said that, I keep reading in forums, like this and others, that say age really isn't an issue as adults. So I agreed to meet someone 5 years younger this week. Humph. We'll see! Virgo, with Cancer Mars and Venus. A mutual friend described him as 'loud' though! ?? A loud Virgo? I wanted to see for myself, though.

Older men mess you around less, and they have more

Can't offer a generalisation on younger ones, easier to please?

It's the old fellas like me. My dad made me promise not to embarrass him by going with someone older than him, lol.

I dont fit your descriptions at all. All of my sexual partners have been older and more experienced then I, and I felt like I was the one teaching. And I always wear the pants in my relationships. Maybe I dont have all the money, but I bring so much more.

I was watching the E Network and they had this program called "The 25 Hottest Hollywood Cougar Tales" and it's all about older women with younger guys. i loved it! I am becoming a "cougar" too, or a "puma" i.e. a cougar in training.

They call the young guys "tadpoles"

Here's the footage: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1377725

Also, a younger man/older woman couple also ensures that the sexual primes occur in about the same time... which is lovely!

A friend of mine's ex is dating a woman 18 years younger than him. He's 42 and she's 24. His daughter, who is 15, hates it.

Knowing the particular guy, I think he's doing it because no one his age will put up with his BS (Like Seeing Stars said). He's also very immature.

Now that I'm 44 many guys my age and even slightly older look "fatherly" and it's getting scarey. I look like I'm in my early 30s and I'm feeling like maybe I will be alone for the rest of my life - too old to have kids, too young to be old.

Why is 44 too old to have kids ? I'm 24, but my plan is not to get married until after 30/35 even if I meet a great guy and not to have any kids but adopt 1/2 when I'm 50/55.

I'm too restless to settle down. And who cares if people think you're old, all you need is just 1 person to love you and have a relationship with you.

Btw another example of older woman/younger man couples is Naveen Andrews(from Lost) and Barbara Hershey. He's 39 and she's 60.
