I've been reading up on forums and books on this pairing and mostly said that this is not a healthy r/s to begin with. One is a water sign and the other is an air sign so there would be alot of misunderstandings. I was wondering if there are any such successful pairings?

Reason I am asking is that a gemini lady caught my eye when we met at a mutual friend's party. Although mblover has advised me to find myself another cancerian lady as we can both understand each other better.

However she is not a typical gemini cuz I heard from the grapevine that she's an angsty person. So could any gemini ladies be able to help out this scorpio? How should I go about chasing after this gem?

Below is our synastry chart and she's on the outside. I don't know her birthtime so I put it down to 12 noon. Could anyone please comment on this pairing? Would appreciate it loads!

Coincidentally, I happen to be smitten over a Scorpio at this very moment. Unfortunately, I think it is pretty much over as I have not heard from him recently, and the Leo pride in me won't allow me to call him.

I'm not an astrologer, so I will leave the chart advise to those who are experienced, but the Venus/Mars aspects look like there is a lot of mutual attraction.

Being a Gem myself, I would tell you to engage her MIND. I'm sure your scorpio magnetism is more than enough to attract her physically, but you have to keep her interest.

Whatever you do, don't play games with this girl, cause she will play them right back.
I'm not saying call her everyday, but don't hold out just to manipulate her, she will know right away.

Good luck with everything, and I hope it works out. BTW, I know Scopr/Gem couples that are married and very happy together!

Call me crazy but I go with gut instincts and working on the relationship first, then I turn to the stars for guidance.

What you have there is a mixture of red and blue lines, a mixture of harmonious and challenging (I'm talking the synastry chart). That sounds about normal to me.

Right on the page you have an almost cradle configuration. If you think of how that works in a natal chart, then similar principles are going to kick in when we are talking about synastry. The opposition is the key ~ person in red (her?) has Moon CNJ Mercury Opposite Blue's Neptune. Confusion in communication is my first reaction on that, but don't take my word for it, read up on it and see what you think and how it plays out.

Your Venus sits on the Pluto end of her Venus Opp Pluto. That's a strong pull, but not necessarily the easiest. But if you went for easy, you might just get bored.

Given the world population I would be surprised if there was no long-lasting Scorpio/Gemini couples. Hang-on, just thought of one ~ my cousin!

This woman has a Gemini Sun, Moon and Mercury. Then, she has Mars Saturn and Pluto in Libra (6 Air planets!). Just by looking at these six planets, the girl is extremely sharp and intelligent. And obviously, EXTREMELY attractive, beautiful and sexy. Looks are about 5 to 10 years younger than her real age.

You already know my long term response is Negative. Because, the eventual damage on Scorpio is much stronger because Scorps can never solve puzzles provided by Gems. And, Gems fly fast.

To get closer to her, you have the following suggestions. (They have worked over and over ;-))

1. This woman needs sharp wit and significant communication.

2. Always be ready with Global knowledge, take her for a Barnes and Nobel tour. Go to starbucks, get a coffee and a cake, laugh like a child with her (This is to trigger her Wild Twin brother, who is careless)

3. Then, comes the story of her novels, check out novels and other section. This woman is an amazing reader. She reads a lot and has favorite author. Now, don't just act manipulatively, but take a sincere interest. (This is to trigger her Good Twin Brother, who is actually genuine and lovely)

And wow that was really helpful! Thanks! I have not gone after a gemini before and those pointers sure will come in handy.

Looking at the negative side of a scorpio/gemini relationship - My sagi friend told me to just enjoy the ride and have fun chasing the gem! :P I guess she was just trying to lower my expectation of this outcome.

I made mistakes with the cancerian lady before because I don't know their character well enough and hence I dug my own grave before I even started the chasing. I just wanna make sure that I won't be making the same mistakes with this gem.

As others have said, the only way to hold onto a Gemini is to attract her through conversation. You must win her mind in order to win her heart. Geminis are very cerebral people and and find a witty conversationalist very difficult to resist! Be humorous and teach her something new. Geminis crave knowledge and we always like to learn something new. We're impressed by people who know a lot about a subject... any subject, so tell her what you're passionate about!

Do not get overly emotional at the beginning of the relationship. Unless she asks you to tell her all about your ex, don't go into details.

However, after you've known each other for about five months or so, than it is perfectly all right to show off your emotional side. Despite what others say, we don't mind hearing about the emotional tribulations or problems that other people have as long as we have known these people for a few months at least. If you get to this stage in the relationship, we will gladly listen to all of someone's problems and do everything possible to help them through their struggles.

One last thing about emotions: do not become clingy or possessive of her! Geminis value freedom, so you must give her space. This does not mean that you should encourage her to cheat on you or anything, but you have to let her have her own life or she will leave you even if she cares about you.

You will know if she likes you, if she listens to you and LOOKS at you when you are speaking. If she seems distracted, looking around a lot...she is not that interested. Also, something I know that we Gems do when we like a guy is to give a little smile as we are listening to you.
If she is genuinely interested in you, she will ask you a lot of questions about you and your life, instead of just making you listen to her talk.

Gems love to learn, so knowing a lot of wierd facts, especially funny ones will definitely keep her entertained. We also love to learn, and admire someone who can teach us things. You have to be different and stand out in some way. She probably has a lot of guys chasing her.

I completely agree with the whole "hand" thing. I love it when a man kisses my hand.

I also agree with the "flight" thing. If you do something we don't like, or that offends us in some way, we will smile as it's happening, but then you'lll never hear from us again. It's a scary thing...

One last thing...do not be the "serious scorpio" around her. Keep it light, and have fun!!

Pluto-ruled Scorpio types are excellent for Mercurial Gemini folks because they both value the inexorable "get it done" ability in the other, have a certain kind of draw toward precision and absolutism, and also value privacy, intimacy, security and intelligence. It's my opinion that future American President/VP team Scorpio Hillary Clinton and Gemini John Edwards are the epitome of Scorp-Gemini compatibility. (Don't flame me, I didn't post when they'd be a President/VP team or that I like it that I read their forecasts and composite as containing that potential.)

Whoever wrote that Scorpio and Gemini can't work out is just—!! That's idiotic.

And, it was Linda Goodman (along with 100s of other Astrological Authors) who wrote that Gemini Woman/Scorpio Man relationships do not work (unless some Air and Water balance is seen either in Moon or in Rising)

So, in your definition, Linda along with 100s of other authors is a Moron and Idiotic. Then, what are you doing on linda land?

Strangely I have seen 2 extreme different sides of geminis. One whom is my friend - she is jovial, light hearted, talkative, easy going, clingy and needy (venus in cancer perhaps?). The other whom I have laid my eyes on is aloof from the exterior, woman of few words, and she's labeled as angsty by her peers. I don't know if she is shy or just wary of strangers.

Anyhow I have managed to get her number and we have corresponded through text msgs and msn. I have tried to ask her out just the other day but she declined citing that she prob cld be tired from a long day (from teaching) and she said perhaps other time. So I don't know if that is a good or bad sign. Should I ask her out again in another week or should I just play the waiting game for her to get in touch with me? Are gems like cancerians whereby they'll do the push-pull game or the disappearing act?

As long as no-one descends into personal insults on the forum, differences of opinion are valuable insights.

Not that, in this case, I feel we are necessarily in disagreement. Gemini and Scorpio are inconjunct signs. It doesn't make the easiest mix. I have Gemini Sun Inconjunct Scorpio Ascendant (presuming my anecdotal time of birth is correct), so I know this intrinsically. The thing is though, people often like to go for difficult and make it work. So it can work and it does. Also the whole of the chart might show compatible elements. Just like how sometimes you get along well with someone for some things but have a couple of areas where you clash.

So far we have been messaging on msn. She was apprehensive in the beginning (all i got was 1 or 2 word answers) but I think she's slowly softening up and has started to converse more. And she has taken the initiative to msg me too.

I've tried communicating with her by asking her stuffs.. she had a few laughs here and there but i could tell that she was feeling a lil uncomfy. Well its the first time that we went out with my friends and seated at such close proximity.

The friends asked me to be patient cuz the gem prob needs more time to open up. Well at least she did say "i'll see you again" to me when she left. Could be that she's just friendly.

She's confusing me that gem..

Shy geminis are tougher to understand since you rarely know where you stand with them until they feel comfortable enough with you to be blunt. Like your friends said, just give her some time.
