alvarella! i totally resonated with pretty much everything you said. i have venus 5 deg into my first house at an aries point. style is a HUGE deal to me as well. funnily enough, i've been shy to express it in my clothes style and to my self in a physical way and it's manifested mostly as art, art, art, and keeping my home as beautiful and to "my" style as possible. i also think it manifests as a desire to bring and see harmony everywhere around me. rudeness turns me off. and i've never ever liked guys with beards or in tattered clothes, etc. i like a kempt look in a guy, but not too too pretty either.

Id really like to see for myself as well. I think christina aguilera with aqua rising has a very nice face but her overdo of make up makes her ugly i think shes one of those pretty girls who make themselves ugly.
i will post later tonight pics ofmy friends with venus in first.

My Ven Quincunx Asc - I have been told quiet a few times over the years, I am good-looking, but most times I think I look plain to very plain to downright unattractive on a bad day.

What would ASC OPPOSITE MARS produce in the looks department??

Venus also reflects a person's charm and charisma. When venus positively affects the ascendant, they are more likely to be percieved as charming or charismatic. They are more likely to get away with things. A wink and a smile and all is forgiven.

Even negative aspects can have this positive effect as venus is rarely negative. The only difference is that people with negative venus/asc aspects may appear to others as coming on too strong, or being a bit "smarmy". Trying to hard.

In reference to ASC conj Uranus

'When Uranus aspects the Asc. It gives a great personality, magnetic, it draws people to you.'

...beauty comes from your Libra Asc. and Venus the whole package

I tend to be a loner(4 planets in the 12th) and find all the attention a bit intrusive. but at the same time you become so used to it that when it doesn't happen(like when you are 9 months pregnant and people kind of look right thru you) you wonder what happened did i get ugly? I hope that doesn't sound shi##y, i don't mean it too.

The Venus person is learning to master the ability to "seduce" or "persuade" you with very little force and this has a huge impact on their sense of self (male or female)

So they can do this through enhancing their physical beauty,showing their generosity of spirit,being kind and fair to all people or showing diplomatic skills in discordant situations etc.

This is their "armour"(so to speak). And they greet all situations from a point of view of "if I am cordial,beautiful,refined and agreeable, the world will respond to me in the same way" etc.

The conjunction of the planet to the Asc adds a "concentrated" quality to it and makes that planet an extremely important criteria in self valuation.

This person will seem to go 'all out' in making a good first impression and sometimes the "heavens" will assist them by giving them good looks.

But more often,you will find a very agreeable temperament. Or at-least someone who is really trying diligently to be "all things to all people" etc. so they can get easily hurt when they fall short of that or are not "popular"

With the trine,it is much more of an "inherent" trait that doesn't seem at all forced as it does with the conjunction.

There is less sensitivity here when people disagree /don't like the native. As they really understand that they cant be everyone's cup of tea.

There is also less time spent pruning and "bettering" themselves. Its almost like they are saying 'take me as I am or leave me alone' A more Taurian trait is characteristic
of the native.

With the sextile, its like pulling a rabbit out the hat i.e "you clean up well" or "wow, I didn't know you had a body like that under all that" etc.

This person may pull out the Venusian traits when needed. But does not consider them an intergral part of their personality.

With the square,there's perceived resistance or rejection from the outside world i.e these people are very sensitive to any remark about the way they look,what they say,how they come across etc.

So if you say one wrong thing about their style of dress, they may be the type to go into hiding and not show their face again in another social function.

There is a strong need to be accepted here. But the sqaure suggests that any rejection (usually imagined) is personalized and may cripple the person's self-esteem and self evaluation

So even when stunningly beautiful or well versed,they can believe that other people are "prettier" or "better" than they are etc.

A self esteem issue can definitely be highlighted here,especially when Venus is in the sign of its detriment or challenged harshly by other planets.

The Venus opposition has the native project the Venusian qualities to someone/something else with whom they have a close association with i.e friend,partner,car,heritage,home, neighbor,child,relative,colleague etc. And rarely on themselves

This is the person that will say "this is my beautiful friend Debbie" or " I have the most gorgeous mate in the world" etc.

Of-course we all give compliments to our friends and partners, but with Venus in opposition to the Asc,it goes much deeper.

Its as if these people gain a sense of self from being associated with things that they hold in high esteem- whether it be people or things.

So they will date really handsome/beautiful people. Or be associated with lavish friends or lifestyles of a respectable standing etc. Usually projecting the Venus qualities on the great "other" with whom they become important by association.

You ever met someone whom beams with pride when other people say stuff like; "Tom's wife is breathtakingly beautiful" or "Alice has the most beautiful car I have ever seen"? etc. Well, that's probably a Venus in opposition to the Ascendant.
