Hi guys,

A clumsy title, but I didn't quite know how to phrase it.

The point is: It would make sense that the sign rulers of each sign play a role in the synastry of those signs too, for example:

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, so do you think Jupiter placements are more important to Sags also in synastry (when compared with other signs who don't have this special relationship with Jupiter)?

And the same for all signs, Mars for Aries, Mercury for Gemini etc.

For example, if you have nice aspects with the Uranus of an Aquarius, wouldn't that be more significant than to have those aspects with someone who is NOT ruled by Uranus?

If I tickle the planet Mercury of a Gemini/Virgo, isn't that more important than doing that to some other sign?

(Libra/Taurus are kind of left out here, because Venus is always looked at in synastry, anyway).

I hope you get my point ;-)

Lana, I agree COMPLETELY! As a matter of fact, I made a thread a few days ago about the EXACT same question.

Like for me, I am very sensitive to contacts to my Mercury. I NEED good aspects to my Mercury in my synastries for the simple fact that I LOVE to communicate.

I believe, for a Libra, contacts to their Venus are very important to them. Scorpio, Pluto, and so forth.

I also think that this holds true even more if the person's sign ruler is positively aspected by the rest or most of the other planets. However, if person's sign ruler is negatively aspected in their natal, then they need someone to have aspect in their natal chart positively aspected. This way its not two negatives coming together.

Like me for example, my Mercury is positively aspected by my Sun and Moon. I need my woman to have her natal Mercury positively aspected.

I also think we should look at aspects to the sign ruler, and aspects to the sign ruler and midpoints from it to the other planets. Then as secondary, we do the moon ruler, merc ruler, venus ruler, all their midpoints, and so on.

Here is the thread I made regarding your question.

Thanks, Got Gemini!! I somehow overlooked that thread. It's interesting that we should be thinking about this at the same time ;-))
