He doesn't hate his white mother. Nor does he hate me, though we've argued in the past. He comes to this site, which is filled with mostly white people. Your assertion is unfounded and offensive.

AcousticGod,

Thanks. You are absolutely right on everything. I don't hate my white mother. I love my mother very much. She has serious health problems with Diabetes and Hepatiti
s C. She can always count on me for support. She raised me to accept, tolerate and respect people no matter what their ethnic background. That was something that my father believed too. Interestingly,he had Sun in Capricorn,Moon in Pisces like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who I grew up admiring for his idealism, inspiration and his message of unity and universal love as well as his overall activism and standing up for the rights of others. I am honored to share Moon in Pisces with both those men and my Portuguese maternal grandfather who I loved more than anybody except my mother. It was his suicide that led me to a spiritual search that eventually got me into Astrology.

Another thing....the woman that I love is Scottish and Irish. Like my parents, I am drawn to interracial relationships. I would have no problems being in an interracial marriage. Our children would be raised the way I was raised in regards to respecting and accepting diversity. Like them, I would encourage them to embrace all their heritages like I do. I don't believe in the one drop rule (if you're part black, then you're black) which is originally established to prevent interracial couples from being together. I believe the one drop rule was outdated since June 12, 1967 Loving vs. Supreme Court ruling struck down all interracial marriage bans in USA. I was born 4 years after that.

I don't hate white people at all. I don't hate any kind of people regardless of their ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc. I expressed my belief of unity, universal love, and tolerance of diversity in my essay and poetry that I posted on this thread. I also laid out possible solutions to how we can resolve ethnic relations issues.

I hate when people accuse people of hating certain people for pointing out issues of racism as well as other issues in our country. I did post things with urls to back my argument that racism is an issue in our country. A lot of people would argue that we have screwed up foreign policies..especially under the present Bush administration.

I also hate self righteous hypocrisy that drives people to treat others badly because they think that they are better than others, and they hide that behind a cloak of religion, values, morals, and ethics. That's a big problem in our country. Those issues cover not only racism, but also sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and religious intolerance as well as views that are divergent from the so-called norms which are relative and based on the biases of society

There is one thing that I believe in the bible even though I am not a Christian. My religious beliefs with Neopaganism,New Age,and Unitarian Universalism.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

That's all I am going to say. I am done with this thread.

Hey AG, this must be a first -- you've never been called "unctuous" here before to my knowledge (one of the synonyms of smarmy)

bvanzy, do you know what an "acoustic" guitar is?? AG is a musician. Have you ever heard any of his tunes?? Don't suppose you would be open-minded enough to listen to any "smarmy" music tho.....

He was very smarmy earlier in this thread. Later he went further so I ventured further, and I assumed he'd chosen his name based on his arrogance.

If I was wrong, and he is in fact an amazing musician by the name of....AG.. then what can I say…apologies and best wishes.

But AG –stick to guitar not politics. OK luv?

I play acoustic guitar and read music Zala dear.

We are some of us from Europe on this forum, where such things are habits that are taught to our children.

Bon Soir.

Well, I've kidded acoustic a lot about his screen name but maybe he really is a better guitarist than Eric Clapton, Dick Dale, Chet Atkins, Nokie Edwards, Tony Motola and Johnny Be Good . Who knows maybe one day I'll be reading Variety and find Acoustic God on the marque of MGM Grand or the Venetian.

Hey, in the Leo universe all things are possible so I'll be pulling for you....acoustic.

Might even try to look lalalinda up so we can go say hello...and tell everyone..."we knew him way back when".

As to Sarah Palin's "hotness" , I just want to point out her Pallas/Juno conjuction tightly trine her venus, and, ( if you look at the Helio chart) her Chiron/Juno trine.

I find it interesting that the Magi consider Juno the asteroid/planet of affairs/children out of wedlock etc..

Does anyone have the pregnant daughter's birthdate?

I'm willing to bet I find a venus/juno connection in her chart!!!

Also, in regards to the 4 pages or so referring to racism of some sort or another, I just want to say it was nice to finally see a pic of Glaucus (and his mom)

Also, no one has mentioned how transiting Neptune is both conjuct her (albeit wide) Sun/Saturn/Mars conjuction, and PARALLEL her Sun/Saturn/Mars natal parallel.

Any "astrological" comments?

Or do you just want to plug that info into to your "Black or White" minds? <burn>

Bristol is an interesting name. I'm sure it's fine if you live in Alaska but it might be a nuisance if you live in England where it has an unfortunate slang meaning.

But, enough of my digressions, back to the astrology and indepth political analysis.

I'm a Capricorn. Libra rules my solar 10th. Politics is a natural interest for Capricorns. (I just bumped a thread of mine, which shows that I my birthday is between Karl Rove and Sean Hannity's birthdays. Karl Rove was "the architect" of George W's rise, and Sean Hannity is a Conservative radio and tv personality. I could definitely see myself taking that road if I wanted to. I'm just not sure that I want to.) I also have an Aquarius MC, and a stellium in the Libra-ruled 7th house.

I don't mind if you don't like me, or think of me as vain. It really makes no difference (I believe you are being put off simply because you carry the same trait). I would just suggest that if you want to talk politics, talk politics.

in reply to jwhop - when i originally posted i thought i made it very clear that i did not have specific info on the charges against palin..that i had heard there was something. thank you for filling me in on the story. the facts do not alter my statement that she is under investigation.

and thanks for defining taseing..of course not to be used on children or anyone else. i still do not trust an alaskan who wants to dig up the back yard for oil and usurp what is left of native land rights. and her selection COMPLETELY farcifies (new word) mccain's denigrating obama as a "celebrity" candidate, sorry.

you have your opinions that's your affair. i was not complaining about the repubs slagging off the opponents but the people on this board who feel the need to get personal in an 8th grade manner when they don't like others' contributions - their own opinions to which THEY are also entitled.

the world is praying for obama. NOT mccain. ever been out there jwhop, to see what we look like from the outside? i am praying that he survives and thrives, because the astrology of this election is crucial and the void moons SUGGEST shenanigans worse than the last, "stolen" election. not predict, suggest...

Well katatonic, I was content to let this thread recede into the woodwork of the astrology forum. For some reason, you decided to resurrect it. In the process you decided to spread yet another lie which has been proved long, long, long ago to be the lie it is.

quote:
i hear Palin has been indicted for misuse of power (giving jobs to unqualified friends? something like that)...

Any causal Internet search will not provide a line of proof that Palin has been "indicted", or "charged" with any misconduct whatsoever. I thought I made it clear to you that as Governor, Palin can hire and fire people in her administration, including holdovers in Cabinet positions or high appointed offices from previous administrations. What katatonic, you didn't believe that? Don't you know the difference between "allegation and charge" or the difference between "allegation and indictment"?

An accusation against a high ranking state officer...including the Governor, triggers an investigation. It also triggers an attorney be appointed by the Attorney General's office of the state. If a high ranking state officer has damaged someone by some illegal action, the state is also liable to a suit in the courts for damages.

The allegations against the state trooper were upheld, that's why he received discipline from the office of the Commissioner of State Police so the accusations were sustained as true.

Now katatonic, please tell me which of the allegations...allegations which were sustained....which of these allegations merits a 5 day suspension. I'd really like your take on this.

1. Tasing a 10 year old child with a state supplied police weapon.

2. Drinking in a state police unit.

3. Making death threats against at least 3 people.

Now katatonic, let me be clear here. Any one of those actions is good and sufficient reason for firing that State Trooper.

To hand down a 5 day suspension shows a colossal lack of judgment and Palin fired the Commissioner. Palin had the perfect right to fire him or anyone else in her administration since they serve "AT HER PLEASURE". That is the nature of the jobs of political appointees.

What is true here katatonic is that you and the entire demoscat establishment...including the leftist press are casting around for some issue or charge to neutralize Palin as a force in this election. Good luck with that katatonic. Governor Palin's approval rating among citizens of Alaska tops 85%. Palin is hands down the most popular Governor in the United States...and has been.

But you went further katatonic. Now you're making the same old dead argument of "stolen elections". For you katatonic, and others who still harbor that particular piece of BS; a consortium of Newspapers including the NY Times decided to come to Florida and investigate that "stolen election". They spent a lot of money trying to find anything with which to sustain the charge...and they really wanted to do just that. At the end of the day, they were forced to conclude Bush didn't steal the election and in fact won Florida with a bigger margin than he was credited with. The number had been bandied around but generally the vote margin was said to be around 537 votes. This news consortium concluded that Bush actually won by more than 1500 votes. Leftists always have a ready excuse for why they lost. They tried the same BS in 2004, this time about Ohio. It didn't fly then and it won't fly now.

Now katatonic, as to those so called native Alaskan land rights. The drilling Palin proposes is on "Federal Land" within Alaska.

McCain targeted O'Bomber because he is the celebrity candidate, campaigns like a celibrity, pals around with celibrities, is endorsed by celibrities and is of the very same substance as celibrities which is all image and hot air.

Palin on the other hand is all substance with a proven track record of doing exactly what she says she will do....and getting the job done. How refreshing to have a candidate for Vice President who is hands down "more qualified" for the office of President than the presidential candidate of the other party.

I have no problem with people posting their opinions here. I do have a problem with those who post lies in pursuit of a political objective.

One last thing katatonic, most Americans don't give a flip who the rest of the world prefers as President. There are even some who would automatically vote against the "world's candidate". Just so you know, most Americans would tell the "world" to mind their own business and butt out of our election process.

Now, to give this post an astrology context. I have a Leo Moon. Lies, deceit, cheating, misrepresentation, fraud and unfairly picking on anyone triggers a strong response. Further, the DNC cheated Hillary out of the Democrat nomination and though I don't like Hillary I would vote for Hillary over O'Bomber any day. I've detailed the way and the reasons the DNC cheated Hillary out of the nomination and also, the fact I don't like the way Hillary was treated by Howard Dean, the rest of the demoscat establishment and the leftist press.
