Long ago I did some checking into charts of individual artist and designers that I know who professionally pursue art/design full time and are HIGHLY skilled at what they do.Many are very "visible" in their circle.

Here's what I found: All have some BIT of fire or water to their chart or something extra to give them that certain "umph" to pursue what they do. For instance, I know several Taurus artists. The ones who are extremely serious and professionally successful have some Aries to them. One has 11th house taurus Sun with Aries 10th house moon, venus and mars. This gal is super friendly which people love so they love her art and she has an incredible work ethic and drive. She does great work and makes a good living for her age. She will teeder with fame during her life and she has a great start.Another Taurus who is a double Taurus giving her an Aries type personality is driven and makes over 200K a year at design. She has some 12th house cusp planets (Pisces influence) but is extremely social, upbeat, and expressive. Another Taurus with no fire to ignite her, does good art, but is not motivated to excell beyond her current situation. Think about it Taurus is ruled by venus which give the interest and leanings toward art, but Neptune (water) is the higher octive of Venus which gives the manifestation of art. I recall a Sag artist who has a Pisces moon, he is currently being collected by architects, etc. and has had some really big exhibitions in NY. Another Sag artist has a Cancer moon, exceptional talent went off to NY at a young age and stopped doing illustration and went into design. I have seen highly skilled artist with lots of water/air/fire/ maybe a grand trine, but then there is a touch of Aries or some water. Or a libra artist with some Virgo for work ethic and Sag for motivation. I once worked at a company and the four computer designers were all Aqua. I did not know their charts, but it set them in that profession. I personally have a long history of working with Geminiis they are not as dominant in numbers as most astrology would tell you, but they are exceptionally skilled at what they do. I personally am a Cancer 12th house with a grand trine in water. Virgo at the tail of my grand kite makes me work like a horse. I've got Sag ruling my fifth house Leo rising and Aries on the MC with Jupiter nearby. Venus is also in Cancer 11th house almost in the 12th. My the 12th house is full. So I work quite exceptionally behind the scenes with fire and earth giving my that added incentive.

I've noticed that Taurus tends to excell in music more so than visual arts. Aries excells more in writing. Geminii and Pisces does great no matter what. Libra is very visible in arts, Sags does well in the movie industry. Lots of Leos or leo rising in acting. Caps and Virgos are bland/safe unless they've got that touch of fire and maybe air. Cancer does well as fashion designers.Aqua does well in a variety of arts - more expressive. Let there B light has Pisces (water) with a touch of Leo (fire) good for a professional life.
Sunshine Lion's chart impresses me as though art is a hobby more than a profession, but you bring creativity to what you do. Libra is on the 6th house with Neptune/Scorpio (hidden) Your Leo at the bottom half of your chart. Saturn is nice for your work ethic though-public recognition through leading something??. Consider some type of neighborhood arts project or working on your home/in your home. Augentier yes your Pisces, but also that Leo MC adds drama and Sag is good for making $. I would think that potentially you could make alot of money (maybe not at art, or maybe so) But you should potentially have alot of drama/stength to what you do even though your an introverted Cap with Scorp. Leadership, or even an industry like film/theather could hold some potential.

I sorta see myself as a hybrid of both a media artist and programer.

I love flash and dreamweaver because theres design and code behind it and you can rally do some cool stuff with it.

I have Mercury, Sun, and Chiron in Pisces in my 5th. I always have to have some form of creative outlet (currently making jewelry) that I can sell. I had a small side business before hand making greeting cards/novelties. As far as sewing, I get an idea or image in my head and make it. I don't mass produce or follow a pattern (that's my sister's forte). I think that's Uranus opposite my sun. "One of a kind" is a big thing for me.

However, I've always had a steady job with benefits, etc. I've tried working freelance from home. It's not that I can't be successful, it's that I can't STOP working when I do this. After a year of it, I realized that all I was doing was living to work. I no longer enjoyed the artistry, so I gave up that mode. (Maybe Jupiter conj MC in Cancer or Saturn in 6th...which conj my sun in 5th.)

I have a grand water trine, which can be lazy. I go through phases with making things...I'll be gung ho for a while, then bored and do something else for a while. I usually go back again though.

I have always wanted to write. My 3rd house ruler is Sag and my Jupiter is conj my MC and is very aspected. Maybe someday!

I am not sure I see it myself, but I am a work-aholic on top of the artsy stuff. I have made my living by being an artist.

The "dinosaur" is actually our house dragon and was welded together using scrap metal. cool huh?

I am into sculpture type art, ceramics and stained glass.
