Well, I had a look at your synastry and I don`t think it`s a very strong one. It`s not a horrible one either. But there are some things that could be difficult.Your Sun and Moon and his Sun is well matched. But your Sun doesn`t have any strong close aspects to his planets, so there is that vital part about you that he just doesn`t get.
Also his MOon in Taurus doesn`t match to any of your personal planets. So I guess, if it`s going deeper and more personal, you don`t relate very well to each other.
On top of that his Moon and Venus are included in a pretty challenging constellation.
HIs Moon opposes his Uranus and all of that squares his stellium of Sun, Venus and Jupiter.
I guess, his Venus liked your planets very much, but his Moon didn`t. IT also means that relationships, especially to women, are mostly a touchy or difficult subject. It`s like he can either have a romantic partner (Venus) or a marriage partner (Moon).
His Mars, an important part of his masculine self, doesn`t match your planets either. Actually Cancer doesn`t get along too well with all these Libra-planets. His Mars doesn`t have close strong ties to your planets, so you don`t get him on that level either.
Also, your Mercurie`s are square each other: Scorpio vs Leo. That might be a reason for the complete break down of communication. Both signs can sulk a lot and if they get hurt, they might try to get back at that person and be a tad cruel to each other.
Synastry wise:
I think it`s interesting that there are no aspects to the ruler of your 7th or 1st house, which usually happens in a relationship.
The ruler of your 5th house is widely trine his Mars though (but it is a pretty wide aspect) and it is exactly conjunct his SN. Maybe there has been a past life love affair.
I don`t know anything about his rulers of course.
On the good side your Moon trines his Sun, Venus, Jupiter and conjunct his Neptune (which is not always that good).
Your Venus sextile his Sun, Venus, Jupiter and Neptune.
Your Mars sextile his Sun.
All these aspects are nice, but trines and sextiles are not so much attracting factors or binding aspects. They can give some basic compatibility and ease and harmony (which you need), but there are too few sparking aspects.
Also, your NN squares his Saturn and NN.
NN square NN can be translated as: "Your life paths are at odds whith each other." Maybe you just don`t have the same path to follow, especially with Saturn blocking your NN.
His SN conjunct your Jupiter could indicate that you have been a positive influence in a past life for him, maybe a teacher, a doctor, a nice uncle, a priest, a person he trusted.
But the strong aspects, who are a focus of the synastry, are always conjunctions and oppositions. And you do not have a lot in the normal synastry.

your Jupiter conjunct his SN
your Karma conjunct his Juno
your Psyche conjunct his Psyche
Maybe that implies a past life marriage or relationship. But that Moon-Neptune-link can either be seen as very spiritual and unconditionally loving or there is the risk of betrayal, deception and illusions (his Stellium of Sun, Venus and Jupiter also falls into your 12th house, and I think his Mercury, also, which would emphasize that).
