Yeah Glaucus, Chris Mitchell is an excellent astrologer. Dont think he has been published, but deserves credit. Taught me lots and a good person to invite to dinner. Just go easy on the wine, he gets carried away.

I wasn't upset with you,Libralove

It was just about stereotypes in general.

actually a couple of months ago, a woman had made a remark to me about men aren't usually into Astrology. I am like..."What does that supposed to mean?" I told her that I don't fit traditional male stereotypes, and that I believe that stereotypes are garbage.

but any ways...I apologize if I came off a bit too emotional. It wasn't directed at you. It was just about people in general who come up with and believe in these stereotypes.

I guess..I was thinking a lot about my exgirlfriend's extreme feminist mother who thinks all men are bad because of her past experiences with them and shouldn't be trusted. From what my exgirlfriend told me,she believes in Astrology and other metaphysical subjects.

I had a lot of bad experiences with the opposite sex including my own mother(that's easily seen...my Moon in Pisces in 6th square the opposition of Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd and retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 9th as well as Moon quincunx Pluto in Libra in 1st...heck..I even have Moon quincunx asteroid,Karma in Libra with only a few minutes of arc....major karmic issues involving women), but heck...that doesn't lead me to think that all women are bad and shouldn't be trusted. I trusted my exgirlfriend and pretty much swore my soul to her. It's just sad that her mom thinks that all men are bad,and so doesn't want her daughters being with any men.

you seem like a pretty cool dude.

Welcome to the forum

Peace

Raymond

I got interested in astrology mostly because there seemed to be something to it.

At this point, I have a difficult time denying my astrological curiosity sometimes. Like yesterday I was helping a new church out with music as a favor, and I couldn't help but ask this very earthy/feminine seeming couple their birthdays. Turned out to be Taurus and Pisces. I get nervous about asking religious types about their signs, but they didn't make an issue of it. I was kind of surprised that it was the wife who was the Taurus. I thought the husband was demonstrating a lot of typical Taurus traits. She is the vocalist, though, so that was an oversight on my part not to consider that she could be a Taurus herself.

how did you all become interested into astrology then?

From my Mother... She had Linda Goodman's Love Signs book and it all started from there...

I noticed the Sun Sign personality descriptions to be remarkably accurate... I kinda used the Sun Sign traits to help Me "read" people better...

I'm a guy.

Scorpio Sun, Libra Moon, Leo Asc

I knew nothing about astrology until my grandmother handed me Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, with a passage underlined in the Scorpio section. Scorpio of course represents Death/Regeneration. The passage mentions how a Scorpio is usually born within a year of the death of a family member, and oppositely, a Scorpio often dies within the year of a birth in the family.

My grandmother left me a note in her copy of Sun Signs, writing that my aunt was born a couple months after her grandfather, a Scorpio, died. Then I, a Scorpio, was born 4 months after my grandfather died.

This is some strong evidence, and it captured my fascination, and as a result I've been pursuing astrology for the past 5 years.

I once mentioned how a website like this one would potentially create some of the best match making that the internet could offer.

I don't think anyone took me seriously.

But considering how socially rejected astrology is, it would really feel great to find a girl who understands.

I didn't say anything about it, but I agree with you that it would be a good match-making idea.

Lol I hope this isn't something that bothers you. Leos set new trends all the time. I'm sure your male friends would eventually follow suit.

There are stereotypes about all sorts of things.. Lately, I completely ignore them.
Waste of time.. I just give myself a migraine if I pay attention.

I was a non-believer because the astrology that I was introduced to when I was little was the daily columns in newspapers which didn't make sense. It was a family pasttime to just read those for fun. When I started living on my own, I did a lot more soul searching and started trying out birth charts and realized the potential it had for helping me understand myself better. That makes it invaluable to anyone.

Also, with a virgo moon I am supposed to be interested in astrology.

Coral, it doesnt bother me, but i do not tell people that i believe in it openly.

i may be a leo, but i don't think im very leo, i avoid being leo.

i dislike male fire signs, especially Sagittarius ones. unless they have there ego, pride etc under wrap.

as for females, i don't mind aries or Sagittarius ones, but leo girls i find have a little too much pride.

i have a moon aries, and leo sun, but i think with my cardinal grand square, iv neglected them, and become much more like my virgo mercury and virgo mars, and venus libra.

feels like the leo and aries in me are my pets lol

i don't have a problem with people who have pride or ego, but i hate it when the flaunt it.

so anyway, i don't think i will be setting trends socially

Guy here too! So many strange events began taking place in my life that it forced me to search for higher answers. It was like find a higher answer or assume that your going crazy! lol I grew up strictly Christian and havebeen taught all my life that Astrology is demonism. But with some of us, especially when Scorpio is prominent in the chart, that 180 degree turn is nothing short of amazing. I think a love and understanding of astrology and innate connection to it is in all of us though. Its just so many people in this world are unconscious as to who they really are and there connection to everyone one and everything around them. It makes me sad to even say that.

I've never met anyone who exudes as much warmth and real affection, as a particular Leo person I know. That's not something to be avoided

But it really depends on the individual. We all have free will. I've had the pleasure of meeting a bunch of arrogant Leo guys, in my teens. The ones I've kept in touch with, have changed a lot since then. I actually like the fire sign guys I meet these days.

It strikes me as strange because throughout high school I was either neutral or I had an issue with them. It's kinda like that "you don't appreciate what you have until you lose it" - saying.
When you find it again, after having been through certain experiences, you really start to appreciate it, strangely.

This is just something I've noticed in fire signs in general (but mainly Leo). I don't think it happens intentionally. Often you might accidentally start a trend and not even notice it.

my style ov trend, is to avoid being part of a category trend, i like to just dress like a mature person, or adult, don't know, maybe smart clothes if that kills off emo/chav/goth/etc trends, i would be happy actually.
