I think that's really interesting, the whole Mars, Pluto, Mercury connection. I guess the same would follow for me: I'm Scorpio Rising, and Pluto is in my 12th house in Libra, conjunct Saturn. So I guess, by that logic, my Venus is made stronger because of that conjunction. My Venus is in Virgo in the 10th conjunct Mercury. So does this somehow extend to Mercury as well?I also was wondering about co-rulers, in regards to the chart ruler. Since Scorpio is my ascendant, and Mars was a ruler (some still consider it a co-ruler of Scorpio)...how much weight does it get as a chart ruler? Would it share some with Pluto? My Mars is in Cancer in the 9th...its also my only water sign besides the Scorpio ascendant. ------------------ Leo with Scorpio Rising and Moon in Taurus IP: Logged |

My chartruler is very strong. It`s Jupiter in Pisces in 3rd house in reception with (and squaring) Neptune on my ASC. This clearly gives me a bit of a Neptunian vibe.

ok quick question please..IF my chart ruler is the SUN. My sun conjuncts my mercury and my guy's mercury is his 7th h ruler and his sun and venus are in Leo, plus his sun/venus conjunct my AC is that significant? If his chart ruler is NEPTUNE and l have neptune in 5th... plus his AC is in pisces. is that significant? IP: Logged |

Jupiter is my chart ruler in Sagittarius in the 1st. For me, what you see is what you get. That's part of being truthful that Lalalinda mentioned before. In fact, I'm TERRIBLE at lying and so I simply don't do it. I'm intensely into spirituality and the big picture, and treating life as if it were one big learning process. I believe that life should be lived and experienced and I try to live my life accordingly. I tend to be the leader in good times (yay fire grand trine) and often come off to others as "lucky." The question was: quote: Do you think that it simply is extra sensitive because it is chart ruler or do you think there might be an element of extra power to the chart ruler because it is so?
Personally, I think there is an element of extra power to the chart ruler, because, at least in my case, it does seem to influence me a lot... But, on that note, it IS also in the 1st and heavily aspected, so it might be hard to separate the fact that it is in the 1st with any sort of influence it has over my entire being. quote: An aspecting planet to the angles is called an accidentally dignified planet, this happens within 5 deg of the angle.
Really? I have quite a few of those... That would be helpful for my Venus... ------------------ Virgo Sun/Aries Moon/Scorpio Rising IP: Logged |

Hey 23, Howdy? For me, it's difficult to understand my own Chart Ruler's effects because its along with six planets on 5th. I give higher importance to Sun, Moon and their aspects and then to the Chart Ruler and chart ruler's aspects. Chart ruler focus might be important in understanding the person more in depth psychologically. And, how the ASC life path leads him into projecting his/her energies in life. Importance to me depends depends on the question in concern. If we are talking about Money, I would like to start with 2nd and 8th house and rulers. If we are talking about Spirituality, I would like to start with 9th and Jupiter. If we are talking about relationship with parents, I would like to start with 4th/10th. IP: Logged |

enchantress - Is Jupiter your final dispositor, is that how it's your chart ruler? If so, I'd be interested in hearing if you think Pluto, your Asc's ruler, has a similar strength in your chart or if you think Jupiter, as the final dispositor, is much stronger.edit - And can someone clear up for me if it's "dispositor" or "depositor"? I'm humming and hah-ing over this one. My chart ruler is Jupiter, which is in Aries in my 5th house. It opposes Pluto (ruler of my moon) and squares my Saturn in Cancer. It also trines my ASC. So it's a reasonably busy planet aspect-wise... I would imagine that having the ruler of the ASC trining the ASC will make it quite strong. But is it sensitive... hmmmm. I am quite lucky, happy disposition, into study, learning, all the things that a Sag rising is into. IN ARIES it probably does have an extra kick to it... and the fifth house is a nice happy placement for Jupiter IMO. I'm strongly driven to be positive and to inspire others to be positive and make positive changes in their lives (I think that's also my Scorpio moon need for transformation)... but I still can't say for sure if my Jupiter is what I'd call 'sensitive'... Also, in my synastries, mercurial contacts are very easy for me to sense. So contacts to my Mercury are very important.------------------ Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚ Gemini Sun 24˚ Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury 25˚ Cancer Venus 29˚ And yes, i'm a guy! IP: Logged |

I thought it would have been petty to mention the deposit disposit thing. Google would have sorted it out, besides, I knew what was meant. 23- I don't know how to answer these questions because the Pluto Mars thing was a theory for me, a good theory though. I think that as a student I should let a professional astrologer to tell us if the theory does work. I wouldn't want to spread something false, you know. You can thank my teacher for this. Lol. I am being taught to know basics first. IP: Logged |

Unmoved -"Whaaat?! My question was petty?!" I hope 23 didn't take my question as a dig. I've seen it written both ways, and have gotten results for both words on google. So for a while now I've been genuinely curious about which was correct. I save petty digs for in person. If I'm going to crush someone's spirit, I like to see their eyes as I do it. Mwah. Mwahahaha. Libralove - Generally, when people say "chart ruler" they're referring to the planet that rules the sign on the Asc. Since you have a Leo Asc, your chart ruler is the Sun.Another way to determine the chart ruler is to find the final dispositor. Not every chart has a final dispositor. IP: Logged |
