Transiting Saturn in the 9th house just started squaring my natal Venus in the 7th house. Anyone gone through this transit? Saturn is also conjunct Uranus in my natal chart, so they both are squaring Venus.

I just went through it, but I only felt it's effects when it was exact. I was really depressed and felt like things were hopeless. It gave me a harsh reality check.

That's definitely how I've been feeling -hopeless, and giving up on the idea that I will ever meet anyone special. But saturn also has to do with stability so maybe venus will be stabilized it help since, Uranus is also squaring my natal Venus.

Im going through the same thing.

missneptune were you born during the summer of 88'?

luckily for me I also have transiting saturn conjunct my ascendant in the first. and Uranus moving very close to my Descendant. thankfully saturn has started to seperate from my ascendant. on a positive note the chiron neptune conjunction is trining my natal venus so Im waiting for saturn to get out of orb so better things can manifest.. since saturn is the faster moving. also I think Uranus in the 7th once it moves over my DC is good I think during this time Paul Newman met his wife he loved and stayed with until he died. hang in there missneptune maybe a matter of half a year or so.

missneptune, i wrote in another thread about the topic last month too. transiting Saturn in the 9th and transiting Uranus in the 3rd house squaring my Venus in the 1st house.

for me, my social environment has completely changed because i temporarily moved to a different country. in a sense i do feel hopeless about establishing a social life here, but at the same time optimistic because i think it'll change again when i move back to where i usually live... it'll be off the aspect by then.

so it'll pass! look up to that time!

This will also cause a reality check of your value systems and make you relook the material comforts that are taken for granted.
As a Pisces Mooner, you will feel the effects right into your subconcious and you must be careful to not carry this emotional baggage once the transit passes. Watch out for the retrograde Saturn transit on Venus later on, the lessons unlearnt will become harsher. All of this is Karmic and is a fruit of your own actions, this self responsibility and awareness of where you went wrong itself will bring rewards by the time Saturn trines Venus 2-3 years later.
Pls try your best to avoid self pity and feeling like a hopeless victim.

For guys, this transit causes health problems to their true love, interference from elders/authority figures that affects their relationships and a big hit to the best of the house that Venus resides. Example: 2nd Venus guys will see financial losses during the Saturn square.
5th House Venus guys will see coldness in romance or health problems for children.
7th House Venus guys may go through a sudden breakup-divorce
10th House guys may lose their jobs
12th House guys may suffer anxiety attacks
etc

Iqhunk, will the effect of retrograde Saturn be as intense even if it doesn't go all the way back? meaning, my Venus is at 18 degree Sagittarius, and in retrograde Saturn goes back to 20 degree Virgo. i don't want anymore of this bleah social life...!!

As I said in lechien's thread, I'm going through this transit myself and my situation is actually similar to her's. I've moved to a different region, am having trouble adjusting to the social setting (I'm the *city chick* from North stuck in the small town in the South---->> I think that VERY much reflects my gemini venus being squared by saturn; gemini= fast life..saturn slows it down, hehehe). I think I'll get a break from its effects when I go up to Rhode Island for Christmas hopefully and see my friends again. =__=

Oh wait, the retrograde saturn is only going back to 20 degrees Virgo? Because my venus is at 16 degrees Gemini so surely I won't feel the effects that much when it backtracks? *makes puppyeyes*

hey Dulce Luna~ sorry i was mistaking! i don't know a way to see how much Saturn retrogrades in a snap of finger so i just look at the transit at Astro.com entering dates.

originally i thought the transit ends in mid-March next year, but i checked now and it actually goes untill mid-May and retrogrades back to about 15 degree Virgo... so we are totally dipped all the way into the Saturn hell.

I don't think Saturn aspects hit me as hard, because Saturn is in my first house and conjunct Uranus, and all of my terrible years are past me, or I feel like they are. This Saturn aspect has actually made me okay with the fact that I'll probably me single forever, in fact lately I don't even care about shopping and other materialistic things etc... So my flamboyant tastes (Venus) are on a hold thanks to Saturn, and hey, right now I don't have any money so I really don't have the urge to buy anything!

Going thru this now and it has to be one of the worst ones yet..

That says a lot since Saturn just left my 12th.

I am kind of involved with someone but kind of not. My gut tells me by the end of this month.. when Saturn is no longer square my Venus I will be not involved with the someone.. I hope for the opposite though.

Its also made me watch my money flow heavily. I have been able to not spend. Which is very good.. for me atleast.

Overall, for the pass 9 months I have been extremely negative, sad, and lonely. Even in the presence if company.

I have, though, been able to think a lot about what I truly want.. from people, love, friends and life in general.

I went through a mental checklist of the guys I have dated and reevaluated A LOT. That part was depressing because I had to look at the things that I looked passed before. I acknowledged my own defense mechanisms that kept me from successfully proceeding.. and I think this was the most depressing part. Digging deep. And owning up to truth.

Saturn conjunct/square/opposite natal Venus: Saturn, the planet of restriction, depression, pessimism, and separation, in contact with Venus, the planet of love, beauty, harmony, and one-on-one relationships often results in separations and break-ups. I recently had this transit by square aspect, and Saturn "hit" my natal Venus three times (direct, retrograde, direct). As with most transits, I found the retrograde hit the most intense.

Saturn on any planet leads to increased depression and disconnect from what the natal planet represents. With Venus, we feel less attractive and sociable, and feel a disconnect from those closest to us. Saturn on Venus compels us to take a long, hard look at our relationships and suss out what is working for us, and what is not. Because Saturn represents pessimism, the way we once looked at our lovely relationships changes. The little (or big) things we once ignored or withstood become unbearable, and our only alternative is to withdraw to re-evaluate the direction of the relationship.

Personally, I went through a major break up during my Saturn square Venus transit. After four years of ignoring problems and "letting things slide", this transit forced me to re-evaluate my feelings towards my mate and, more importantly, myself. It became apparent that the relationship was not serving me well, and I had no choice but to let go. As much as it hurt, and as much as I knew he did not want to break up, I simply could not continue in a relationship I felt did not reflect who I was as a person. Saturn over my Venus also stomped over my self-esteem, so I spent a lot of time alone during this time. Socially, I felt incredibly disconnected from my closest friends. I felt as though I had "outgrown" them, which added to my feelings of loneliness and isolation.

One thing to remember about Saturn transits (well, ALL transits) is that these feelings are temporary. Once I was out of the transit, I came out of isolation and gradually let people back in to my life. I know now that these people are the ones who mean the most to me. Saturn often causes separations, yes, but true friends and strong relationships will survive, and reintroduced once the transit is over.
