I definitely think the Moon comes into play.I was sympathetic when drunk (Pisces Moon in 3rd), I used to tell everyone how wonderful they were & listen to their problems, what a bloody mess! I havent had a drink for over a year 7 only had 2 glasses of wine during the year before last. I was a social drinker, never during the week & only when with company. Drinking is a mugs game. The idea of being drunk is abhorrent to me...loosing control & exposing yourself (figuratively speaking) is humiliating. Alcohol doesn't even have a pleasant taste.....bleh, I don't miss it at all.

Errr, I have an embarrasingly low tolerance for alcohol than most people. I thought it was because of my size back when I was smaller, but even now that I've gained weight its still the same. And alcohol's RLY good at bringing out my 'life-of-the-party placements'......like my aries mars and 5th house gemini venus. Of course its embarrasing when your friends or co-workers are still laughing about it a week later. O__o Rum or Tequila still remain my favorites though. ^__^mercury opposite neptune (which I believe is the culprit) moon trine neptune chart ruler saturn in the 12th + 12th house stellium Pisces on the 3rd house cusp (were talking altered states right???)

I think the chart looks the same (except a bit blurry )after a couple of drinks LOL, but what I really meant was what parts of your personality (based on the chart) comes out more.. In my case my Moon in Leo comes forth.. A bit more flirtatious, and loves attention And all my Sag planets also shines through. Because I don't think that alcohol "changes" your personality, but loosens up some inhibitions, and you get more emotional, at least some of us do, so I guess the Moon is important. Alcohol is a poison after all, so as you say, Neptune could play a major part here.. But even though Neptune is con my Mercury and Venus I don't drink som much, but I enjoy partying Glaucus: Thanks for the information about the asteroids, I'll check them out.. Ps: I was not drunk when I created this topic

what alcohol really does is get rid of those invisible social barriers! thats why i love it so.i think your probably right, i think alcohol because of what it does, allows our other positions to come out and play more! e.g. venus's etc (well, as long as there are girls around catching my eye, when I'm drinking lol). i think alcohol brings out your emotions! so its no surprise that moons do shine when having a drink, i probably act more Arien, although, i remember one time i was having a drink at a party (well it was a fairly big gathering at a pub rented out) i didn't really fit in, so i was being quiet even with drinks, for some reasons star signs came into peoples conversations (not as a group conversation, just in general) one girl was trying to work out my sign, she asked when my birthday was, later that night she said "your not being very leo!" there was eventually a little talk amongsts a few people with half of them girls about star signs, 1 of them said "are you a gemini". so i don't know, depends really, but with my aries moon, i'm not surprised when it comes out, when iv had drinks i allways feel like having a confrontation with some one, or in the mood to fight, :S

I don't see where my Pisces Moon had anything to do with my drinking. I did not cry in my beer, and I sure as hell did not encourage anybody to converse with me about their problems. Only in sobriety have I experienced being the listener, being truly happy on all levels, and being sought out for something other than a fight. That last one has to be one of the oddest things for me to get used to. In my case, I believe Mars was behind the alcohol. Too much hatred of self and everyone else, too much bottled up pain/fear/anger. At no other time could I get in a knock down, drag out fight and come out of it 10 ft tall and bullet proof. Good topic.. I think it depends on the circumstances.. When I drink by myself at home my mercury in scorpio is on the surface and I dont like it..When I drink with family and friends my moon in saggie is dominant.. When I drink at a bar or a club at nights my venus mars conjunction in libra is on the surface. Normally in my chart this conjunction is squared by my cancer saturn. I realised that when I get alcohol,it eliminates saturn, its dicipline, its boring influences.. IP: Logged | |
