In Cosmobiology, Mars/Neptune midpoint is the midpoint associated with infections......it also has to do with weak muscles with Mars associated with the muscular systen and Neptune with weakness. I knew a gay guy that had sexually transmitted HIV.
The first thing that I noticed in his chart was his Sun in Leo square Mars in Scorpio with 46 minutes of arc. His Node opposes Mars with 33 minutes of arc, squares Sun with 12 minutes of arc.
also looking at his midpoints. His Sun conjuncts the Saturn/Neptune midpoint with only 1 minute of arc. Saturn/Neptune midpoint is known as the chronic illness midpoint,the cardinal point of disease.
also Saturn/Neptune midpoint is associated with immune system problems.
so his Sun on his Saturn/Neptune midpoint,and his Mars was squaring it...with Mars aspecting Saturn/Neptune midpoint, Mars was connnected to Neptune,and that could indicate an infection.
so he had Sun = Mars = Node = Saturn/Neptune
all within 1 degree.
He has Neptune semisquare Venus/Mars midpoint with only 3 minutes of arc. So he as another midpoint configuration connecting Mars and Neptune....and it involves Venus, and connects love,relationships....so love,relationships can be idealistic,but they can be deceptive,confusing. His Neptune squares Sun/Venus midpoint with 19 minutes of arc and sesquiquadrate Venus/Node midpoint with 12 minutes of arc. Those configurations add to that theme. There is a strong possibility of falling in love with the wrong types of people as well can be confusion,deception in one's love life.
Jupiter square his Mars/Neptune midpoint with 14 minutes of arc which indicate possibility of indulgence,and/or bad judgment that led to him getting infected.
He had a history of using drugs too, and he really loved smoking pot. He definitely believed in its medical benefits.
He was also diagnosed bipolar,but I am not going to get into that.
His father was murdered too,and that seems to fit with his Sun square Mars in Scorpio with only 46 minutes of arc. I also help noticing that his Sun square Sedna with 1'08 orb. Sedna in hard aspect can have victim type of nature to it. His Mars oppose Sedna with 1'54 orb. Therefore,he had a t-square of Sun-Mars-Sedna which can indicate father being a victim of violence.
I also want to point out that he graduated from college,majoring in Music. He was into massage therapy. His spiritual,religious beliefs were mainly Buddhist.
I really don't trust zodiac signs nor houses when it comes to medical astrology. That's why I prefer Cosmobiology which doesn't use the soft aspects and uses midpoints when checking for health issues.
I want to reiterate that I don't believe that any aspect is a definite indicator for anything. I believe it can indicate a possiblility or potential, but I don't see it as definite. I feel that I have to be flexible in my views when it comes to Astrology because I can always be wrong at any time because I am only human. That's how I am in life period. I just want to throw that out because of the debate about Astrology can show this or can't show it. All..I have to say is that Astrology can show a lot of things,but the question is how hard are we looking for it,are we seeing something that we want to see,are we finding something based on what we think we know. Those are questions that I ask myself a lot as an astrologer...especially when I am into looking at things from an alternative angle in a way that I can be a devil's advocate and controversial in regards to Astrology. I admit that I have my doubts about some of the mainstream methods,applications used in Astrology. That's why I prefer a more geometrical based system like Cosmobiology is. I even believe that even some of the uranian astrology techniques like midpoint-midpoint aspects are valid.
