Chain Of Love sung by Clay WalkerHe was drivin' home one evening In his beat up Pontiac When an old lady flagged him down Her Mercedes had a flat He could see that she was frightened Standing out there in the snow Till he said I'm here to help you ma'am By the way, my name's Joe She said I'm from St. Louis And I'm only passing through I must've seen a hundred cars go by This is awful nice of you And when he changed her tire And closed her trunk And was about to drive away She said how much do I owe you Here's what he had to say: You dont owe me a thing I've been there, too Someone once helped me out Just the way I'm helpin' you If you really wanna pay me back Here's what you do: Don't let the chain of love End with you Well a few miles down the road The lady saw a small cafe' She went in to grab a bite to eat And then be on her way But she couldn't help but notice How the waitress smiled so sweet And how she must've been 8 months along And dead on her feet No, she didnt know her story And she probably never will When the waitress went to get her change From a hundred dollar bill The lady slipped right out the door And on a napkin left a note There were tears in the waitress' eyes When she read what she wrote You don't owe me a thing I've been there, too Someone once helped me out Just the way I'm helping you If you really wanna pay me back Here's what you do: Dont let the chain of love End with you That night when she got home from work The waitress climbed into bed She was thinkin' about the money And what the lady's note had said As her husband lay there sleepin' She whispered soft and low Everything's gonna be all right I love you...Joe ------------------ "It is never too late to become what you might have been." Dear fellow k-NOW-flakes, and particularly Reiki channels,A few days back, as you can see on the first page of this thread, it was Auriel & Randall v/s The Reiki Channels, on the topic of whether or not Reiki should be given away for free. The Reiki community strongly believes Reiki should be paid for. There are two reasons ~ first, to cover the overhead expenses of the Reiki practtioner, and secondly, to complete the "Energy Exchange". On the subject of 'covering expenses', I feel the Reiki practitioner can let it go. We now k-NOW that what we give out comes back to us. So, if I freely give of my energies, I will be taken care of by the Uni-verse, some way or the other. But what about Energy Exchange? We k-NOW it is a must because the recepient will not be able to receive the Reiki energies unless they give away some of theirs own. That was, what I believe, the reason for the Energy Exchange ~ to make the recepient give away something, in order to create space for the new. In other words, the cicuit of energy needed to be completed, for the healee to be able to receive Reiki. Auriel told me something which made a lot of sense to me ~ she said that in the Aquarian age, we are trying to establish a new, humanitarian paradigm. It is based on Unconditional Love. Inwardly, I resonated with her thoughts. I knew that in the face of the coming Golden Age, I felt it was very "restricted" of me to give away healing energies only in limited quantities, and with conditions. It felt unneccessarily stingy. Luckily, I had a wonderful new thought over the weekend. It occured to me that if my only reason for insisting on a payment was to "complete the cicuit" of energy flow, I need not insist that the healee pay *me*. I can just tell them that they needed to create space by giving away something to someone. They can do some work for someone, or give away a 'thing', or money to someone, and the recepeint need not be me. It can be a charity too. *If* they want, the healee can give something to me, but I will not hint towards that. If I am meant to receive something, let the Uni-verse hint to the healee! I feel wondeful since I realized this. I feel reconciled to my inner urges, i.e., more natural. How about you? What do you feel? Do you resonate with this ideaL? Dip inside the yOu of yOu, and let me, and the rest of the k-NOW-flakes, k-NOW! ------------------ Love and Light. IP: Logged |

Elohim~ Bravo ! I fully agree with your realization It IS the exchange of energy that is important - not where the energy goes, or is spent. Likewise...It could be the Reiki healer themsElves that are *repaying* the healee for energy they've already exchanged *elsewhere* ... ------------------ . * + . + * . Caileah . * + . + * . Interesting. Giving Reiki could be our payment for something received from the Uni-verse. If we want something new in our Lives, we should create a vacuum (through giving). ------------------ "It is never too late to become what you might have been." George Eliot IP: Logged |

I went to a Massage Therapist today and it was great. I feel so opened up and new. She also did Reiki on me. She pronounced it "Ray-kee" but I thought it's pronounced "Rye-kee". I also started taking the Feldenkreis Method class. It is an 8 week session. The next morning I tried some excercises and could do them farther than the night before ------------------ "To everything there is a Season, and a Time for every Purpose under Heaven..." ~Book of Ecclesiates IP: Logged |

Neph, miracles happen when you beLIeVE! How did you like the Reiki treatment? I swear by it! My wrist is doing much better! Thanks to all the people sending white lite and long-distance healing! The problem is my keyboard. My daughter spilled orange juice on my good split keyboard, so I started using a regular one that has no wrist support. It SUX! My wrist wasn't bothering me after I had the surgery until I started using this keyboard(except for the time I strained it lifting Kassiana and had to have it recasted)! I've been looking for a split one to buy, but haven't found one I like. I'm going to take it easy and continue my time off until I find one and I feel my wrist is in good enough shape to pound the keys again. I'll pop in and say hi, but don't expect a lot of posts! I've actually had my limit for the day. Take care! I miss everyone! ------------------ We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly embracing each other. ~Liciano De Crescenzo IP: Logged |

Auriel, I am a big believer of Hope and Faith and Magic and Miracles and Fate! "A Faithful Heart Makes Wishes Come True" ~ from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon "If you Build it, They will come" ~ that baseball movie Well I think it was the Overall Massage that did it for me. I'm going again next Saturday a.m. Today I was exhausted again. Uhm........I think she did Reiki just at the very beginning. Oh! You can buy a wrist support at any computer/office store. Even local drugstores have them. I have a long one that is the same length as the keyboard, and one for the mouse. ------------------ "To everything there is a Season, and a Time for every Purpose under Heaven..." ~Book of Ecclesiates IP: Logged |

I know you do, Neph. It's one of the things I like about you. I need a split key (ergonomic) keyboard. It's much more comfortable and has the wrist support built right in. I'm in no hurry to find one. I still need some healing time, and am keeping my posts minimal. I have an ergonomic mouse that doesn't move and it has a roller ball. It's cool because you can put any feature you want on the buttons and since I use copy and paste a lot, I added it as a feature to my mouse. It makes things much easier and faster. It's for right-handed people, but that's okay. It's actually working better this way since I can't use my left one. I haven't been able to find an ergonomic mouse for left-handed users, but would like to one day. ------------------ To fall in Love, is to rise. . . . ~Upendra IP: Logged |

and .. those bubbly moments of bittersweet when a tapped out stranger stops us on the street to ask you for a dime or a quartera fellow Earthling, who's lost his way for awhile you always smile, then hand him five or ten -- or twenty even when you're broke yourself and it's your last five or ten -- or twenty and when the Taker looks shocked, as they often do you call back to him, over your shoulder .. "listen, if you need any more just give half of that away don't save it for a rainy day rain rhymes with pain -- Give rhymes with Live !" and when he answers .. "right on, man ! I dig, I dig !" we smile at each other, then squeeze hands tightly because we're spreading the Jerusalem magic of the small boy's loaves -- bread cast in Life's river to one new convert and maybe turned him into an apostle .. a Giver you always say .. "the planet is so over-populated with Takers ... and so empty of Givers but just wait until all those people we've touched with Oober Galaxy love discover the rocket-socket Truth that they will get more -- they really will ! much more, almost immediately if they give half of what they have away and get in tune with the harmony of the Universe !" sometimes, we bump into them again, on a sunny day and they remember -- then they tell us about the miracles they found by letting go, and spreading whatever they have around how they discovered the spiritual gold of seeing what they gave returned -- sometimes three or four-fold because we are our brother's keepers and our sister's too each of us a channel for Love to flow through Gooberz Pages 587-588

Hello, all! I want to jump in here, because finding this thread just now was the result of amazing synchronicity! I have been searching around on the net, looking for information about Reiki, but not finding much, really. Then I came here, and pulled up the active topics, and thanks to Eloim , this was at the top. I then found several links (thanks to all!) about Reiki, and now my search is complete! Hi Auriel,Just saw your message - will send you healing though I hope you don't need it anymore. How is your wrist doing by the way? I feel like it's a lot better because it doesn't tingle so much anymore. I've slacked off, actually, for about the last 4 days - holidaying in S'pore! Was promptly taught my lesson though - caught the flu on my way back Anyway, hope you feel better soon. Aquamoon
